Limited to one group per day, it is a small building, so you can relax with 2-3 people. For the architecture, we use natural materials such as dirt walls with plaster walls, earthen rooms with grills, and bedrooms made of cypress from Mie Prefecture, so you can relax with peace of mind. A wood-burning stove is available during the winter months. Special acoustic wooden speakers can listen to music on records, CDs, and Bluetooth. You can also have a simple farming experience in the June farmland where you can grow pesticide-free vegetables.(Reservation fee required) You can fully enjoy the blessings of living in the city. You can cook by yourself using seasonal pesticide-free vegetables and Matsusaka beef at a nearby butcher shop. Enjoy freshly ground coffee on your hand mill.(Original blend for coffee beans) Please bring sleeping clothing and bath towels.(Face towels are provided.Bath towel rental available) The location is a quiet country.I would advise you to come with a car. The designer house opened in December 2024.We rented the entire place, so we could have a private space. Although it is a private lodging, it is a hotel-quality accommodation run by a hotel management company.We strive for cleanliness and quality that is better than a hotel. Please choose our facility with peace of mind. We have 3 beds and 3 futons, as well as a washing machine, dryer, bathroom drying equipment, gas stove, fridge, and cooking utensils, so families, couples, and friends can relax together. It is an ideal base for sightseeing in Ise, Toba, Kumano Kodo, and other Mie Prefecture.

Mikiura Guesthouse

Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We only take one reservation everyday so house is yours to use privately.We have no meal service since corona pandemic 2020. Guesthouse is a typical old Japanese house, not like a resort Hotel or Ryokan for business. Mikiura village is surrounded by the clear blue sea and natural green mountains, and located close to the World Heritage of "Kumano Kodo" You'll enjoy real Japan such as rural life experience, quiet time and beautiful nature.

This guest house is located in Nigishima-cho, Kumano City, Mie Prefecture. Nigishima-cho is located in the southern part of Mie prefecture, and you can enjoy the beautiful azure seascape called Kumano Blue. Enjoy the view of the calm sea of the port town from your room and relax and enjoy the atmosphere of a nostalgic port town on Nigishima. Kumano City is located on the prefectural border with Wakayama Prefecture, and is the best place to drive around Wakayama and Mie's famous places.

We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
