Cottage vacation rentals in Manteo

This place was exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy Memorial Day weekend with friends! Clean, clutter free, and the hot tub was awesome for an early morning soak or late night kick back. About a 15 minute walk from the beach and located in a quiet neighborhood. Also, very short 1-minute drive to large grocery stores. The hosts were communicative and friendly. I would definitely stay here again if visiting OBX.

somewhere on the beach was the perfect beach house with out that overly "beach house" decor. it was tasteful and cleanly decorated. the outdoor areas were great. the pool is just the right size, the additional seating and outdoor lounge areas were great. The bedrooms had nice mattresses.

Marks place is a perfect location- just a short (5 minute) walk to the beach and to the shops. The house was well equipped with everything you could need plus amenities. My group really enjoyed the hottub and heated pool. Mark was also responsive to any questions and concerns!

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. The patio is incredible, it goes up above the roof where you can see the ocean. The walk to the beach is short, but you do either have to use stairs or go up a steep hill to access it. That was fine for us, but could see it being a challenge for the less able bodied. The surrounding neighborhood is cute and is very quiet which we appreciated, and is nearby to a lot of great restaurants. It’s not very walkable but very quick drive to anything you need. Only negative was we thought there would be bikes but there weren’t any (as far as we could find) but that was ok, we still had a great time! We would definitely stay again.

We had such an amazing time here! She was quick to respond and the place was beautiful! The backyard was perfect for our toddler to play in and I really appreciated that there was a baby gate for upstairs. We will definitely be coming back!

We had an incredible stay at Amy’s cottage in the Outer Banks. The location couldn’t have been better - it was just steps from a quiet, beautiful beach that felt like our own private retreat. The cottage was extremely spotless, cozy, and had such a fresh, inviting scent that made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Amy went above and beyond in so many ways. As soon as we drove up to the property, she surprised us with a thoughtful in-person welcome (for both humans and pup)! She was very responsive when we had any questions about the town and places to explore. Her local recommendations were spot on and helped us make the most of our trip. She’s truly the definition of a superhost who made our stay feel extra special in ways we’ll never forget, as well as genuinely being the best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. We can’t recommend Amy and her cottage enough - 5/5 stars without hesitation!

Enjoyed our stay. Loved that we could utilize the community pool since the beach had red flags during our entire stay. The beach access private parking was also a plus. Hot tub was a great way to end the day. Lots of space for family meals at the dinning room table.

So glad this listing was available definitely exceeded my expectations. It’s hard to find a home so accommodating to the fur babies. I was floored walking into a clean home fully stocked with all the amenities plus. It was like staying in a hotel with the feeling of being at home. Hands down the best beach stay ever totally recommend and hopefully I get that chance to visit again.

We really enjoyed staying at Chad’s place. It was very clean and comfortable and we felt like we were in a tree house with all the beautiful trees outside the windows. We loved the porches and the close proximity to restaurants and the beach. Chad was very friendly and responsive. We definitely will be staying again.

We had a wonderful stay! The description was accurate and Danielle provided everything that we needed for our trip to go easy. She communicates so well and the house is beautiful with an easy walk to the beach.

Great Place and a Great Host!

Great location, only a five minute walk to the beach and you can hear the waves while sitting on the top deck. The house had everything we needed. It was perfectly decorated and very comfortable for lounging after the day's adventures. The fenced in back yard was perfect for our family with dogs, and included a picnic table next to the grill which was perfect for seafood eating. Bikes were great and many other beach necessities for the summer months. Brian provided very detailed instructions and suggestions for restaurants and more. Great place!

This place was the perfect spot for my little family including a baby and our dog. With it being so close to the beach we had no issues quickly going between the beach and rental whenever needed. A huge plus was the outdoor shower that allowed us to be able to rinse the sand off before going inside. There are so many restaurants, store and sites to see within a short drive or walk. We definitely see ourselves coming back.

We had a great stay. The house was great and in a great location. It was an easy walk to the beach and a great location. There was a pier close and lots of things to do. I would definitely recommend it to others and hope to go back there again.

This beach house was everything we hoped for and more! It was the perfect spot for our girls’ trip bright, airy, and super clean, with plenty of space for all of us to relax and hang out. We loved the open layout. The sunsets from the patio were unforgettable! The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and even left us a sweet welcome note.

This home was so perfect! We had a lovely time celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday. There was enough room for everybody. The screened in porch was a perfect spot to play our family board games! Close walk to the beach & downtown shops. Loved watching the sunrise on the roof deck in the morning!

The Hideaway was a beautiful cozy place for us to stay during our visit to the OBX. The hideaway had everything we needed to get our day started and I really enjoyed the location as I felt super safe. Coming and going was simple as we were her for a wedding. You’ll love this place. Promise!

10/10! This is what a beach house at Nags Head should be - everything was perfect. We lived out on the screened in porch (cicadas and candlelight at night, cheerful birds and breezes with breakfast in the morning). The location was amazing - walkable to the beach, Tortugas Lie, Dowdy Park, cute coffee shops, ice cream, mini golf. Also super close to grocery stores and some of the major local restaurants like Millers. The house was set back in a cul de sac so it was pretty quiet considering the location. Our nearly 4 year old loved the bunk beds, toys and stuffies that were already there waiting for us. We loved our time at the Sea Flea and made so many memories on our first-ever “just us” family vacation!

What a charming, impeccably clean and ultra comfortable home in our favorite Duck community, The Sanderling! We couldn't have been happier :-) The home was just perfect for our small group..the furniture was modern, clean and decorated with class. And, the kitchen was quite well stocked for our family who very much appreciates engaging in home cooked meals. The laundry machines were brand new and convenient being on the ground floor. We loved having everything on one level and of course...never missed an early morning sunrise and sunset across the street at the Sanderling dock! A magical time indeed - thank you Mark, for everything!

The property was lovely, with accurate pictures. We appreciated the comfy furnishings and beds, and the quiet location was perfect. The short walk to the ocean and restaurants was a bonus. Great hosts too - thanks for the late checkout! We'll return soon.

This was our second time staying, and enjoyed every minute! The house was perfect for family of four with two young kids (3 and 6). Easy walk to the beach, enough space to stretch out and play, and on a quiet street. Highly recommend!
