What can I say about Crow’s Hermitage that the other reviews haven’t already captured? If you’re considering other options—stop looking. You’ve found the perfect place. As many others have noted, the photos can’t possibly convey the enchantment that settles over you the moment you arrive. From the character of the home to the serene outdoor spaces to the thousand-year-old parish next door, it feels like stepping into the pages of a fairytale. When it comes to hosts, Colm is in a league of his own. He went above and beyond with directions, thoughtful recommendations, and any request we made. By the end of our stay, we didn’t just feel cared for—we felt like family.

Adam's property is in a fantastic location with a beautiful and soothing view over the lake below. A gated estate makes it so peaceful and private. All the amenities in the house that we needed were present and they were of a high standard. We found the property warm and comfortable, and we stayed in winter so that was great. The instructions to the property and how to enter were clear and easy to follow. Adam was very responsive and quick when we asked questions and provided all the information we asked for. He was flexible with our arrival and leaving times which really helped our logistics. We would definitely recommend the property and if we are looking for somewhere in this area again this would be top of our list. Watching the the sun come up on a frosty morning was so lovely!!.

We had a fab time at Hannah's house. It was so well stocked with all the essentials. The bed linen was spotless and the bathrooms were so clean. We felt right at home from the minute we walked in. It was also very well equipped for dogs which made us relax instantly. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We had a lovely stay here for a reunion with six uni friends — such a special catch-up! The place was perfect for our group: spacious, quiet, and very comfortable. The amenities were great — everything we needed was provided, and the whole home felt really well thought out. A beautiful spot to relax, laugh, and reconnect. Great accomodation for group of adults, very spacious. Bedrooms beautifully decorated, loved the white linen and curtains. Plenty of car parking.

This is a wonderful place. Everything was very clean. The grounds were beautiful. There is a lovely river path you can walk to town on. Several restaurants and shops in town. The host was very responsive and gave clear instructions. Although it is right next to a lodge, you can sit on back porch and listen to the peaceful river without hearing anyone. I wish we had more time here. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Serenity found! This Loft exceeded expectations. Calming ambiance, plush furnishings, and natural light made for a perfect retreat. The kitchen was spotless and well-equipped, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe with easy access to the stores and pubs yet a private property with all privacy to enjoy nature at its best. Host communication was seamless. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway.

Vivienne was very friendly and accommodating. She went out of her way to make sure we were settled and comfortable and was very happy to help with suggestions for things to do in the surrounding area. We had a lovely visit

We had a lovely stay at the Annex. The location is beautiful and peaceful - surrounded by green fields and grazing sheep, and is also a short drive from Navan, Ballymagarvey Village and sites like the Hill of Tara. The Annex itself was spotless and very comfortable. There was on-site parking, which was very handy. One of my favorite spots was the lovely side garden. It was the ideal place to enjoy a morning tea or coffee or just relax and take in the scenery. Our host, Fiona, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. If you're looking for a relaxing escape in a picturesque setting, I highly recommend staying here.

The Lakeshore apartment couldn’t have been more clean and comfortable, nor could its location and views be surpassed. It exceeded expectations and we are very happy we found the apartment. Gary was a wonderful host and our experience was truly comfortable and easy. Perfection!

Would recommend this flat to any of my friends and family going to Cavan a nice clean place to stay

Family with kids stayed at Bridget’s for a week. When we arrived, Bridget greeted us out front with home-baked biscuits and bread and a fresh bowl of fruit. The home had a back patio which made it convenient for our kids to play outside. It was clutter free and easy to maintain cleanliness (especially with kids). It also had space in front of the unit to play and walk around in grass and with flowers. Bridget was kind and responsive throughout the trip. She provided us with a pack n play and high chair. She also had eating utensils for little kids available. The home was easy to feel comfortable in and we would certainly book again. Only heads up (that has nothing to do with the actual booking) is being prepared for winding roads leading to the Airbnb. Don’t ride in the back of the car if you have motion sickness.

Thanks Brigitte for a fantastic stay in your granny flat. It was perfect! I really enjoyed my time there. It was extremely comfortable, warm & well equipped for my week there. I felt very safe and right at home. Thanks too for the food & drinks you left on my arrival. What an unexpected surprise. It meant I could relax as soon as I walked in, without having to rush out to buy supplies. Very thoughtful of you. I would highly recommend Brigitte's place and plan to return one day. My wife and I stayed at Robyn’s Treetop apartment last weekend! It was everything as described and more! Really clean and well kitted out! Perfect for bbqs and right beside the lake! As it was dog friendly, it was perfect for us and our dogs who had a ball! Kayaks were provided with life aids etc. this was great fun to get out on the lake! We even got a bit of fishing in! The wood fired hot tub was amazing and would highly recommend it! We will definitely be back in the future.

We had a fantastic stay! Colum gave us a tour of the thatch roof cottage and shared stories and videos of local culture. We walked to the ancient tombs and saw more great views of the area. The space was so comfortable and the bathroom was amazing with a great shower and heated towel rod. The house is beautiful and we wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a lovely stay in this Airbnb over the bank holiday weekend. The Airbnb is right beside Concepta and Justin’s house but feels very private with views out to the fields and a separate entrance. The beds were very comfortable, as was the sofa for watching Tv in the evening. The property felt spacious enough for 2 people and had everything we needed. The hosts guidebook was really useful and both Concepta and Justin were happy to provide some local recommendations. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a quiet place to stay that’s a short drive local villages and 20-30mins from both Cavan and Enniskillen.

Had the best few nights here. Maria was so lovely and welcoming. The views were amazing and the place was spotless. We loved feeding the ducks and playing with the puppy. Can’t wait to come back

Delightful cottage surrounded by greenery 30 minutes from the airport, we stayed 2 nights at the beginning of June at Lisa's. The house is on two floors, small but comfortable, warm and clean, with 4 beds. 1 double bed and 2 single beds. The bathroom is only on the ground floor, it can be inconvenient for those with toddlers with suicidal tendencies like ours. Lisa provides a crib for children, and her beautiful and well-kept garden with a tree house! 😍

One of the most beautiful places we have stayed! Absolutely stunning landscaping, so peaceful and very cozy. Our little family really enjoyed wandering around and seeing the horses. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the nearby tea rooms. Highly recommend!!

I had a lovely time staying at the Annex, its so quiet and peaceful set out in the countryside however still very close and easy to get to the town. I didn't meet Huw and he was busy farming but Nan came and introduced herself on the check in day and checked that I had everything that I needed. She was really friendly and helpful, any time I messaged she was quick to respond. The annex has everything I needed and it was all where you expected it to be, I didn't find myself hunting around for things . I would definitely recommend and be happy to stay there again :)
