Cottage vacation rentals in Manitouwabing Lake

I could not recommend this cottage more, and I will definitely be back. It was very easy to locate and there is plenty of parking on the driveway. Inside the cottage, we found an extremely well stocked kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. Outside of the cottage, we spent most of the time on the beautiful, new dock overlooking Sparrow Lake. There were plenty of water sport toys available for us to use, the water was shallow and perfect for swimming, and we enjoyed seeing all of the float planes coming and going to the lake. In the evening, we spent time on the upper back deck overlooking the lake, where there was the bbq and hot tub. We felt right at home and cozy; I just wish I could have stayed longer! I brought along my dog who was very pleased to find cookies and a toy provided by the host. Thank you so much for hosting us and we plan to return next year! :)

This is a beautiful place to stay, right on the lake with an amazing view, and a friendly beaver right next door! Our highlights were the hot tub, the fire pit and kayaking on the lake. This spot would be amazing in the Summer. The house is clean and well set up, the 2 downstairs bedrooms are small but just fine for sleeping. There is plenty of room in the rest of the house.

We were looking for a nice place with indoor pool for our kids, this place was exactly what we were hoping for! The house is very nice, has a few stores nearby to buy anything you might forgot back home. We will definitely come back again!

Our stay at this Bala cottage was excellent. The property is beautiful and well-suited for entertaining a large group. We found it to be very spacious and clean. There were plenty of activities available on site, including kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding, as well as a hot tub. Enjoying coffee in the Muskoka chairs by the water, with lake views, was a highlight. We would certainly recommend this cottage.

We had a group weekend getaway and loved our stay! The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. The host Ashley was very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful escape to recharge!

Jennifer's place was a perfect gathering point for our birthday family reunion. The accommodation was spotless, bright and warm and even had a little pack and play set up for the baby to have a nap. The grounds were stunning as was the view. Our only regret is that the weather did not cooperate so water activity was limited to a polar dip followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A beautiful retreat that our family thinks should be an annual event.

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at this cottage. The lakefront property is beautiful, clean, and our favourite part was watching the gorgeous sunsets that could been seen from the terrace as well as from inside. Jesse was easy to reach and made sure that everything ran smoothly and that we were having a good stay.

We stayed at this cottage over the long weekend and had an amazing time. The place was cozy, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a highlight—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The backyard was spacious and peaceful, ideal for lounging or enjoying a BBQ. The owners were incredibly helpful, respectful, and responsive, which made the whole experience even better. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

What a gem! This lovely cottage was everything we wanted. Private, clean and super cozy. The view from the deck steps away from the back porch was absolutely beautiful. Douglas was very friendly! His response time was very quick to any questions and he made sure we had everything we needed. His recommendations for around the area were super helpful too. Definitely recommend!

This was fantastic, calmest water I’ve ever been on, lots of fish, tons of games I will definitely be back.

Absolutely beautiful place and so well equipped. I’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s and it’s not an exaggeration to say this is the best equipped one I’ve ever been to. Anything and everything you could think of. It’s also a great space, such incredible views and we loved the hot tub and the kayaks. Christina was an excellent host, brilliant communication and also some lovely welcome treats for our four year old, very cute. We loved our stay. The only thing I would say is if you travel as a party of four adults or older children, beware the light in the summer. The awesome floor to ceiling glass in much of the living room means it was very light very ealry when we visited in June. It didn’t matter as we bought our little one in with us, but something to bear in mind if you aren’t a party who can do that.

We loved this place. From start to finish it was fantastic. Great location. Open and spacious. Everything we needed was provided. The host was very responsive and gave good clear instructions. We had a fantastic time to wind down.

Host allowed us to check in early way ahead of usual check in time which was great. Had an extra full day to enjoy the cabin right by the lake with private beach access and lots of gear provided by the host (Kajak, Kanu, Boat etc.). Cozy little campsite with fire pit and chairs. Great view of the lake and fall colours. Very quiet despite neighbours to the right and left. Vast selection of DVDs for movie night. Short car trip to supermarkets in Huntsville. Had a great time and would definitely recommend it. Easily accommodates 4 adults.

We discovered the perfect secluded getaway in this beautifully maintained property. The grounds were consistently plowed during snowfall, making our winter stay worry-free. The main cottage comfortably accommodated our group of 5, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a thoughtful welcome kit with snacks and coffee. Two full bathrooms with provided toiletries made sharing the space easy, and the comfortable beds ensured restful nights. The clean, spacious hot tub was perfect for relaxing after outdoor activities, and the reliable wifi kept us connected. We enjoyed both the excellent heating system and the cozy wood fireplace, all while taking in beautiful waterfront views. Killbear Provincial Park, just 40 minutes away, offered excellent winter hiking. Quick tips: bring extra towels as only one is provided per person, and pack slip-on shoes for travelling between cottages. While water has a slight odour, it tastes perfectly fine. We’d love to return in the summer! Highly recommend!

Very accommodative and responsive host. The place is at a great location. It is breathtaking and peaceful.

I needed a quiet getaway from the construction at my home. This cottage on 100 acres was perfect. It was so peaceful and comfortable. The wood burning sauna was amazing and Adam provided kindling and firewood. I saw deer most mornings. The property is close to Burks Falls with everything you need to get settled in for the week.

This cottage is perfection. Liane & James are just SO lovely. If you're reading this, don't look any further. Just book it. We couldn't have had a better week at Follie's Cove. The cottage was the perfect mix of modern and rustic. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped. We felt at home instantly. The sunroom was the perfect chill spot for us and our two big dogs to get out of the sun/rain without feeling cooped up indoors. The beach was heaven for our dogs, and on a quiet end of the lake, so we saw few other people all week. The quintessential Muskoka experience! Liane and James were *beyond* wonderful. They set us up with a ton of breakfast food and desserts. Even offered to return the day after check-in to drop off more coffee. It truly felt like renting from friends. Highly recommend renting the pontoon boat from them and puttering around the lake. Wish I had more space to gush about the space and their incredible hospitality. We would book again in a heartbeat!

The Hilltop Cottage was comfortable and welcoming in a beautiful location in the forest with a view of Georgian Bay. The food at the restaurant on the bay was excellent, the location was beautiful, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The Glenn Burney Host was welcoming and responsive. It was a very relaxing and refreshing place.

What a glorious setting! Peaceful location with nature all around. We didn’t see or hear any neighbours - utter tranquility compared to our usual hectic schedule/ semi-urban surroundings. The house was easy to find with clear instructions; there were thoughtful additions such as a full log basket, plenty of loo roll, laundry detergent, basic cooking supplies like oil/ seasonings and extra towels were available if required. Clearly a lot of thought had gone into making it homely. Host was responsive and helpful with recommendations and instructions - even maps of the best canoeing spots! We had a very peaceful stay and teenage kids loved it - even though it was autumn, we still enjoyed the lake, swam, hiked, went canoeing, and toasted marshmallows in the fire pit. If you’re looking for a city rush with lots of buzz, look elsewhere; for peace, beauty and the outdoors immediately available, this is a great spot!

Beautiful spot with great views, very clean and comfortable

This cottage was perfect for our golf trip. Seguin Valleys golf course was just 25 minutes away and the cottage had a nice back deck and dock to hang out on after our games.

If you are looking for a beautiful, tranquil setting this is your place. The home was as described, clean and very well stocked. The outdoor area, fire pit and location are one of a kind. In October the fall colours were beautiful, would highly recommend James’ place for a peaceful getaway.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Priolo on the Bay – Moody Escape, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Andy is a truly exceptional host. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a luxurious yet cozy escape. The cottage itself is immaculate – modern, stylish, and unbelievably comfortable. It strikes the perfect balance between high-end living and rustic charm. Tucked away in the heart of nature, it still offers every convenience imaginable: from fully stocked cutlery and snacks to campfire treats, firewood for both the sauna and outdoor firepit, a gas oven, extra lighters—you name it, it was there.The interiors are spotless and beautifully designed, making the entire space feel like a warm, peaceful retreat. Sitting by the fire, unwinding in the sauna, or just enjoying the serene forest surroundings—it all felt like a dream.This is the kind of place that makes you not want to leave!
