Cottage vacation rentals in Manitoulin Island

Thank you for a great space to retreat to for our family. The view was great. A fire place to roast marshmallows was a nice experience for my kids.

The place looked exactly like the photos and was a nice getaway if your looking for a cabin on the water. Was peaceful, enjoyable, and very very beautiful. Price is a little pricey but for what you get and the scenic views makes it worth it. Especially if you go as a group and divide up the costs. Would love to go back again sometime and would recommend this airbnb. Thanks again for hosting!

We had an incredible time at this Airbnb. If you’re looking for a relaxing, remote experience, look no further. We enjoyed the hot tub, the comfortable beds and soft linens, beautiful forest for walks, and the fire pit for evening fires. I imagine during the warmer months it’s really nice to enjoy the lake as well which is right across the road. We had a really nice time and would definitely return. Thank you Mike and Meng!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Richard's cottage near Kagawong. It is a large, open space with lots of seating, beds and amenities. The home has been beautifully renovated with lots of great art and furnishings. Although the weather wasnt great during our stay, we still enjoyed the beach, which is easily accessible. There are plenty of heating and cooling options to customize the temp in bedrooms and common spaces. Richard ensured there were plenty of supplies so it was easy to cook and stay in his beautiful home, even with young children. The cottage is about 15 minutes to Kagawong in a quiet neighbourhood. Honestly, the pictures don't do the view justice. We hope to be back soon!!

Fantastic place. Cassandra has set up a little private paradise. She sent a super helpful welcome pack, the place was easy to find and easy to enter. The house itself was very clean and had alot of amenities to use. Beautiful views. Firepits, sauna, hot tub, kayaks & bbq! Everything you could want in a quiet get away. Very very impressive! 5/5! Id give 6/5 stars if I could. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely want to stay here again if we come back to Manitoulin

We had a great stay at Little Fairbank Cottage! The space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the hot tub—it was the perfect way to unwind in the evenings. The ping pong table was a hit too and made for some fun family tournaments. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, and the cottage has a great setup for enjoying both indoor and outdoor time. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat with some fun extras.

Lovely cottage nestled amongst the trees with stunning view of the lake! Fall colours were stunning and we felt right at home.

This was our 2nd year staying at Lauzon East Cottages and like last year it was a great stay. Jeremy was very responsive, friendly and welcoming. Look forward to returning!

Kim's Cottage was very comfortable and had everything that was needed. The grounds were beautiful and was very quiet and secluded. Very comfortable to sleep and was very well cleaned. We cannot wait to come again next year.

Mark’s Lake Lauzon home was an absolute perfect stay for our group. The home is very spacious and equipped with everything you could ever need. Mark was extremely responsive and easy to get a hold of when we had questions, and he was always pleasant. We hope to come back to Lake Lauzon every summer!

If you're looking for plenty of space for guests to have their own private room/area, this is the perfect spot...the view is also breathtaking and calming! The dock is the best, wide enough and with safe stairs stepping into the lake...Otter lake is crystal clear(it was so thrilling to see small fish come greet me with my bright pink water shoes--they even followed me--heehee) The surrounding terrain is quite flat and safe for everyone who may have mobility issues...This host has thought of everything...cupboard space to add your dry food and miscellaneous kitchen items, 2 fridges, plenty of hangers for our coats in the big porch entrance, the huge deck facing the lake with its tables and chairs to enjoy a morning coffee, tea or even a meal...and this, just to name a few great qualities about this gem of a vacation spot...(not to mention Manitoulin Island being my favourite place in the world)...the location is also central to a lot of great places to visit and explore!

I stayed at SUNY's three nights in October and had a wonderful vacation. The cottage is so comfortable, organized and welcoming. The view and the grounds are spectacular. Nicholas was accommodating and shared some location recommendations. Hope to visit again!

This is one of the best places we've stayed in, and I never thought I'd say that about staying in a RV. it's the newest RV trailer I e ever stayed in: spacious living area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. the location is on a cliff overlooking the bay. the photos don't do it justice. we spent half our time just sitting in chairs overlooking the amazing Vista, watching the sunset, and then counting stars. Magical. Rachel and Nevada were really helpful with local recommendations. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We enjoyed our week as we started each day with coffee on the dock and ended with a sunset drink each evening. The location was central to everything we wanted to do on our first visit to Manitoulin - Misery Bay and Cup and Saucer for hiking, Providence Bay for great beach time, and Gore Bay for chocolate and brews. The cottage was comfortable with everything needed for our stay. Jeff and Jenn were great hosts. We shall return if the opportunity arises and recommend to others.

We had an enjoyable stay at this cottage. Thomas was very helpful and it was an easy check in experience. We spent our evenings on the walkout porch overlooking the lake and listening to the wildlife. The location was secluded, safe and private. It’s a very nice location not too far from Sudbury. Overall, it was an amazing experience and would visit again.

I just loved this cottage, is secluded, private and has beautiful surroundings. I wish I could come back year after year (been here 6 times already) maybe a vip membership is waiting for me for my next trip 😃.

What a beautiful place. This cottage sits on a beautiful waterfront looking over a stunning lake. We really enjoyed our stay with our kids and their grandparents. The water trampoline, kayaks, paddleboard and beach made for lots of fun. The sandy beach and flat lot with convenient fire pit make it easy to watch younger kids. The beds are very comfortable and the hosts were great.

What can I say about this beautiful place? IT'S SIMPLY AWESOME! I cannot recommend this cottage enough. It is really well appointed, tastefully decorated, the location is stunning. There are truly no negatives to point out. We had such a great time! The lake is really nice and shallow, great for kids to play in. We took the canoe out for a paddle and enjoyed the newly changing fall colours. The sunrises are picturesque, and the view is purely Canadian. The cottage itself really left us wanting for nothing. The couches are cozy, and kitchen had everything we needed, and the bed is comfortable! We really loved the privacy too. There is another cottage nearby, but there are lots of visual blocks to make you really feel like you're secluded. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation without feeling like you're roughing it, then THIS IS A MUST SEE! Thanks to Molli for being such a great host and making this gorgeous place available.

Stellar view of the sunrise every morning. Cottage is very clean, well kept and has everything you could possibly need. Love the view, the peace and quiet, the constant sound of the water on the shore; the deck is a great place to spend all of your time. Enjoyed paddling around the bay - so clean and beautiful. From our sea kayaks, we watched the deer frolic in the water - they came out quite a ways as the sand bar is shallow and runs for miles! Paddled up Manitou and Blue Jay river - fish were jumping! The cottage is centrally located - short drive to anywhere on the island for your day trips. Although you may be tempted just to stay put at a cottage that has all of the comforts of home.
