Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Malcantone

This is an excellent choice should you be leaving early from Milan airport ( the airport is over an hour from Milan central) Spotlessly clean, big room and even bigger bathroom and the airport drop-off service( extra payment) makes everything so easy before a long flight. The driver was a fabulous young man who made a lasting memory. Highly recommend this establishment.

We had the most wonderful stay at Paola and Gianni’s beautiful Airbnb in Lake Como. The apartment itself is charming and rustic with the most gorgeous view of the lake - we never got tired of waking up to it. Every morning, Paola prepared the most delicious homemade breakfast, which made our days start on such a cosy, thoughtful note. What really made our stay extra special though, was Paola and Gianni themselves. They are the kindest couple - so warm and welcoming - and truly couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home. They picked us up from Como station for a very reasonable fee when we arrived and dropped us off again at the end, which was such a huge help and so appreciated. We left feeling like we’d been looked after by old friends. I honestly couldn’t recommend staying here more - it’s a magical little spot run by the loveliest people.

Fabulous stay, highly recommend these hosts and their place. Luisa was very proactive with us and responded to every question, even being able to pick us up from the bus station and drop us back on return. The accommodation is so clean and organised and has every utensil in the kitchen you will ever need. There is plenty of space and comfy seats, two tv's if you need them. Our hosts left snacks, water and wine for us which was very welcome. There is a choice of balconies to decide to have breakfast or a drink on. We loved our stay here.

Our stay at Marco's apartment was great! The apartment was very clean, tidy and pleasant, just as advertised. The check-in was flexible and convenient, and also at check-out Marco made an effort to come to us as much as he could. Marco himself was available, friendly and patient, and helped us with anything we wanted – even ordered pizza for us and recommended an excellent cocktail bar that was just to our taste! Unfortunately, he was on vacation, so we didn't meet him in person, nor did we get the massage he usually offers to guests. In his place, we were greeted by his lovely parents – although they are not English speakers, they welcomed us with a huge smile, a big heart and a real willingness to communicate and help, which was very exciting. The surroundings of the apartment were picturesque, quiet and relaxing, with a lovely view of the lake and a sense of nature. There is a supermarket within walking distance and also a train station and it is very convenient. We chose to arrive by car, and it definitely gave us freedom of movement and flexibility, but you can definitely get by without a car – depending on your travel style. In conclusion – warm, personal and pleasant hosting, in an apartment that offers real tranquility. I highly recommend it!

The Nest on the Lake was the loveliest little lakeside inn! The owners are extremely kind and the access to the little beach was wonderful to have. Ferry boats and bus stops within 12 min walk of the inn, which was great. Two markets close by, a few fantastic restaurants within in walking distance, and the most gorgeous views of Lake Como! We would highly recommend this place for anyone coming to Lake Como for the first or 100th time!

Villa Attica Colonia is an absolutely gorgeous property! Monica the host could not have been more accommodating. She truly was wonderful and helped us with all that we needed! She served the most lovely breakfast every morning in a little basket by the window. The view is outstanding and it makes you feel like you never wanna leave the property. It is a five star accommodation. If you are going to Lake Orta this is the best place you could possibly stay! Thank you again Monica for everything!

We made a stopover at Maria Luisa's apartment. The apartment was absolutely sufficient for us, clean and functional. Maria Luisa was always available but not intrusive. There are some restaurants, cafes, bars and the beach is also directly accessible. The view from the small balcony overlooking the lake is excellent.

Barbara was very accommodating and made me feel comfortable quite quickly. Also got me breakfast and tea every morning which was lovely. Would recommend :)

Carlo and family's place deserves 10 stars!! We got the ground floor room and we couldn't be happier since it has a direct connection to the kitchen, very practical! The private room and bathroom were spotless. The kitchen is a luxury, I've never seen such a complete and neat kitchen, you'll want for nothing! Breakfast of 10! And most importantly, Carlo's attention! Always attentive and giving us tips on places to visit. The location is perfect, as it connects to several important points in Italy to visit. Thank you very much, we felt right at home.

Lesia is a great host, she was very flexible when I asked her to change the appointment of the breakfast or when I arrived late. From Lesia's home Lecco is reachable easily by a local bus. Balcony and livingroom provide great place to have some rest after a day trip. I recommend her home!

The stay was great to get to the lake by bike. Riccardo knew a lot about the area and was always approachable and friendly. Breakfast was sufficient. The immediate neighborhood (outside the park and the villa) was not outstanding. Shopping facilities were easily accessible by car/bike. Note: When parking, do not turn to the far left - the tree is strong, we have not yet been able to get the resin from the car. The other parking spaces are good though:-)

Such a beautiful home and wonderful hosts! Deborah was so accommodating to us, breakfast was amazing, the room was cozy, and the location was perfect for reaching the train station! I can't recommend this enough!

What a BRILLIANT week in Lugano - made so much better by this wonderful room which I was delighted to find. It had all the benefits of the hotel - just a much simpler, unfussy room which suited me perfectly! Couldn't fault it. Thank you to the wonderful staff for a lovely week.

We don’t have enough words to describe how incredible this B&B is. From the stunning lake view and peaceful garden to the beautifully designed room with a spacious bathroom. Every detail was perfect! It’s easily the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in. The location is also great, just a short walk to the center. My husband and I originally planned to only visit the lake como triangle, but on our first day we ended up staying in Lierna… and wow, what a surprise! It’s calm, authentic, and free of tourist crowds. We truly fell in love with it. And most importantly: Laura. She is truly the best host we’ve ever met. She’s so kind and thoughtful. She helped us with everything we needed and always made us feel completely at home. Her care and generosity made our stay even more special. If we could give 6 stars, we would. Highly, highly recommended!

Unbelievable! The place was brand new and the people were more than friendly. We were welcomed by two people that shows us everything they made us feel right at home and although it was already 10 o’clock in the evening, they even offered to cook us a meal. The room was immaculate and breakfast was amazing, this place is on my Airbnb shortlist as of now.

We needed a place to stay for our last night in Italy close to the airport. This spot was ideal, Gabriele was very helpful and responsive on messages after booking, Gabrielle was kind enough to collect us from Ferno Train Station to take us back to the b&b. Gabriele also took us to the local supermarket and to the airport at 6am for our flight very reasonable price. The grounds of the b&b were lovely, very clean all round, bed was comfy and got the best sleep we had all week whilst in Italy. On our last night we just wanted to relax and the TV had Netflix which was ideal. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely stay again if we return in the future. Excellent welcome. Clean, impeccable room. Secure private indoor parking. hearty breakfast excellent. Water available at will. Very nice host and good advice.

Elena was a kind and welcoming host. She gave us lots of recommendations and we had a very comfortable stay. The views from Elena’s place are amazing. We accessed the surrounding towns by foot, it was around 30 minutes to Varenna and Bellano.

We loved our stay at Marco's house. He was so welcoming, giving us a tour when we got there and making sure we were all set. The house and surroundings/view are beautiful. We did not have a car, so we had to take a bus and walk a bit to get up to the house, but Marco gave clear instructions on how to do so. He went above and beyond, with a wonderful breakfast including a freshly baked cake. He even left us some fresh strawberries from his garden. If you are looking for true Italian hospitality and a beautiful view, this is for you!

Daniele and Sonia were extremely friendly and helpful, the room and the kitchen clean and with nice details. The breakfast had everything we could wish for, even the freshest eggs from their own chickens! We just stayed for one night and it was perfect for an overnight stay on the way back home.

La Casetta is a very clean apartment and cared for in every detail. It really feels like you're at home. It is very quiet and the rooms are spacious and bright. Francesca is very kind and caring . Breakfast is plentiful and of high quality. I hope to be able to stay at this stylish property again.
