Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Makahuena Point

Radoslav and Natasha were lovely hosts! They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable in their condo. We had an amazing time and can’t recommend it enough!

This place was awesome! Having a kitchen saved us so much money on the island (as things are pretty expensive and eating out can eat up cash quick!). The Cliffs resort was amazing as well. The pool was super nice to have, the staff were kind and helpful, and there was a super nice area at which to sit and view the ocean. Overall we had a great time and would recommended this place to anyone!

My family throughly enjoyed staying at Clelia’s condo. It was such a great space for young kids (3 & 5 yrs old) with access to the lawn right outside the patio. The beach was walkable but not too close that we were not worried about water safety. There were tons of water toys on the patio and sand toys in the hall closet. The space itself was ideal. My kids slept on the pull out couch in the living room and my husband and I had the master bedroom. We cooked in the kitchen, ate in the dining space, ate on the patio, and felt we had all the supplies that we needed to cook which was wonderful. The location of the resort is ideal. This is our third visit to Kauai and our second time in Poipu. We will not stay anywhere else in the future. The plantation property is absolutely stunning with access to the beach. The access to the resort club and pool is great amenity. The walkability to some great restaurants is so nice! Ultimately, a beautiful space that we hope to return to!

Alicja is an incredible host to work with. The place was great and Alicja is very responsive and gives clear instructions for everything you'll need to know. She does an amazing job!

We had a great week staying in Pili Mai! We loved sitting on the back patio overlooking the golf course. We didn’t expect and ocean view and there it was, right down the fairway! The condo have everything we needed, including kitchen wear, towels, and beach chairs. We can’t wait to come again!

AMAZING: The mattress felt just like our European Sleep Design WONDERFUL mattress at home. We slept well and were pain-free in the morning! A great plus! GREAT: Television options and the beautiful view. PERFECT: The location. Once we had our bearings, we discovered we were perfectly located to some of the best restaurants around. They were within minutes. Dining is our favorite, so we were very pleased. The beach between The Plantation and the Sheraton was ideal, not rocky as is common around the island. MEH, not impressive: The extras. The lawn chairs, bougie boards and play equipment were too old and dingy to even touch, let alone put a half-clothed body on. In dire need of replacement. Unusually bad compared to like items used in Maui, Seal Beach, Mendocino. The Athletic Club was not nice at all. The grounds are simply lovely here and walking alone at night was incredibly safe and enjoyable. If we were to return to Kauai, we would not hesitate to rebook Jonathan's place.

Overall excellent place to stay for a Kauai visit - great location and ideal across the street from the pool/jacuzzi area and BBQ. Very pleased with the weeks' stay here and highly recommend. Only recommendation is lighting should be increase outside the unit - we checked in after dark and it was difficult to identify the unit both in and out of the car.

Wonderful place and location! Great access to Poipu beaches and Waimea Canyon. Nice pool at the resort too. Suite Spaces was very responsive to any questions we had.

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The location was incredible and the recommendations were so great. There’s a few house rules which I’m not so used to but it was clear from the beginning and definitely helps to keep the place bug and critter free which is a huge plus! Would definitely stay again!

We had an amazing stay at Linda’s place!! The condo was clean, cozy, and easy to check in to. We were able to get an early check in which was awesome. The condo was only a 5 minute walk to Kiahuna beach and a 10 minute walk to Poipu beach. There’s an amazing coffee shop (Little Fish) across the street that we went to multiple times. Linda also included beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling stuff) which came in handy! Finally, Linda was extremely friendly. We will definitely be back!

We had a great stay at Kate’s Airbnb in Kaua’i! The location was perfect—close to great restaurants and centrally located, making it easy to get anywhere on the island. The beach access and grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. Would definitely stay again!

We loved that this airbnb is located in Kiahuna Plantation. It could easily carry the provided chairs and umbrella for just a few minutes walk to Kiahuna Beach. There is super limited public parking for this beach, so we were so thankful we only had to walk. It was a surfing beach for beginner lessons (and experienced surfers) and choppy snorkeling during our May visit. Beautiful ocean to look out at. So many choices of coffee shops/carts, restaurants and supermarkets near by. The athletic club access was also easy and the club was not crowded at all during the week. Laundry facilities just next door, kitchen had everything we needed to eat in too. The A/C in the main living area was so appreciated during the day, the evenings cooled off so the temperature in the non-a/c bedroom was good. Outrigger did a great job providing towel service and cleaning service. The view out the lanai of the large tree and grassy area was nice during the day, and good for star gazing at night.

Awesome location. Loved being able to walk to the beach easily and not have to worry about parking. A/c worked super well. Would stay here again if staying in Poipu!

The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to local shopping and restaurants, making it super convenient to get around. We had such a wonderful stay at this home in Kauai! It was exactly as described and absolutely perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 toddlers). The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked (honestly, one of the best we've ever had in a rental), and all the beds were super comfortable. There was also plenty of space for our little ones to run around and play. One of the highlights for us was the abundance of toys, puzzles, and games — our kids were in heaven having “new” toys to explore all week! The home is also very thoughtfully equipped with baby and toddler gear, including a stair gate, pack n’ play, high chair, and even car seats — a huge bonus for families traveling with little ones. On top of that, there’s a great selection of beach and pool gear like boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys (we even left a fun new set we got at Costco for the next guests!). The host was also fantastic — very easy to communicate with and super quick to respond.

We had a fantastic stay! Anneliese made everything so easy. She provided super clear directions and it was so simple to check in/check out. She was friendly and communicated well. The location is very walkable to the nearby coffee shop, restaurants, and beaches. You can tell these hosts thought about all the little details like the beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, and beach toys. We really enjoyed it!

We really did enjoy our stay here, it was easy to check in and it’s about a mile away from some very delicious restaurants and shops. The rec center is down the street and the pictures are as described. Brandon is very responsive and quickly answers your questions and gives useful information. The cottage was quaint, clean, and very cozy and relaxing. It was very clean, however I did have an issue with some things that weren’t thoroughly cleaned and wiped down. I’m very particular as I’m very allergic to dust so I mentioned this to Brandon and he offered to have his cleaner go back and fix the spots that weren’t thoroughly cleaned missed. However it wasn’t anything major as I’m just picky. The kitchen and bedrooms were immaculate and looked brand new. There are tons of supplies in the house and in the garage, which I loved. Brandon was so kind, due to this issue the owner came by and gave my kids candy and a book to read. It was very thoughtful and sweet. Overall great experience.

A slice of Paradise! A gem in the treasure trove of Princeville. We had everything we needed and wanted. It exceeded expectations & photos. The exercise equipment at the club house was well furnished. The whole complex area is extremely well maintained. Very pristine & private. Beautiful furniture inside and on lanai. Kitchen very well stocked and had laundry soap/dryer sheets available. Many extras…drip coffee maker, aluminum foil, cooking oil/spices, refrigerator with ice, use of beach chairs, towels, etc. Extremely clean & comfy! Laura- onsite contact was very helpful, kind, & communicative. If you want to experience the essence of Hawaii & Aloha… this is the place for you. We have been to Hawaii on 6 visits & this is by FAR the BEST place we’ve stayed in! Thank you so much Cynthia for sharing your gem with us! We definitely want to return to your slice of Paradise again! Words cannot convey our gratitude for the incredible experience & hospitality… Mahalo!

We stayed our last night in Kauai at Jake's place, and it was nice to have somewhere very close to the beach while still feeling very private and peaceful. The only noises heard were the chickens. They have air conditioning as well, which made for a comfortable sleeping situation after having spent the last week in an un-air conditioned space that at times felt too warm and humid to be comfortable. We didn't make use of the kitchen, but it was a nice space. Not sure about the pans/dishes but the sitting area was comfortable. The bathrooms were nice a clean, and the beds were comfortable. We did book this last minute, and so we felt that the rate was well worth the amenities and comfort.

We had a great time in Kauai and Clint’s condo in the Kiahuna Plantation. Clint was very accommodating and responsive and there was nothing to complain about. Loved the balcony chairs and was a quick walk to the beach and drive to the shops nearby!

This lovely home was perfect for our family and two grand babies. The single level with lots of open space was absolutely what we needed for two babies running around. We really appreciated that the homeowner had a child’s gate available to protect the children from going down the stairs that lead to the outside parking area. The views were beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing that would make it even better would be to provide a high chair. They did offer two pack and plays. We had a very memorable stay!
