Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Macleay Island

We stayed here while relocating interstate! We really appreciated being able to bring our pets and having a two room, fully equipped self contained stay. Very clean, very quiet, very easy street parking. Check in is super easy and very well lit. I’d recommend for anyone looking for a nice stay in the Runcorn area. Lots of good food around

We are a family of 5 with young kids. Christine’s place is much more better than in her photos, plenty of equipments for us to cook and laundry. If you want to go to City, just drive your car to the park and ride ( 2 mins) or walk to the train station (5 mins) and transit to City, it takes around 10 mins. Indooroopilly Mall is close enough, few mins driving only. Christine provided plenty of breakfast ingredients for us during our stay. In conclusion, Christine’s place is highly recommended. Her place is my 1st priority for my stay in Brisbane in coming future.

Our stay at Paperbarks over the Easter weekend was perfect for our extended family. Room for the adults and plenty for the grandchildren to do. Its position right on the beach was amazing. It truely was a home away from home. Jordi and Monica couldn’t have been more helpful and we cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend Paperbarks!

Thank you Dawn for yet another awesome holiday experience! Coming from the Netherlands this was our 3rd time, for 6 weeks here and we will keep coming back. Dawn is the perfect host, dog lover and we thoroughly enjoyed her friendly company! Everything was very clean and fresh. The location is perfect, with a lot of beautiful birds around. Grocery shopping is a 5 minute drive away to Woolworths and ALDI. Again thank you so much Dawn, cheers Lyn and Bert.

We had such a great couple of days. Our 14-year-old spent his days fishing with his friends all over the island (50-cent fares have helped them all feel independent). My wife and eldest had a wonderful time geocaching while I walked the dogs around the neighbourhood and to the stunning Amity Beach, where the ocean meets the bay. Such a great spot to explore Coochie from. Ole’s place was clean, neat and tidy and perfectly set up. Walking distance to everything you need. Just pack some snacks and take advantage of the island’s cafe, bar and restaurant.

Lovely comfortable stay. Convenient location for events, close to restaurants and cafes. Quiet, restful sleep. Very clean. Helpful staff at reception. Would stay again.

Absolutely stunning property. Everything was perfect we had a great break there. Our pup loved the place, she played tennis, love meeting Mixie. Great hosts

**A Pleasant and Comfortable Stay** We had such a great time staying at this granny flat! The host was super friendly and even took us out to experience some local vibes—think a jazz jam , riverside walk followed by a lovely dinner. The place itself was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. Plus, the location was perfect—close enough to shops. Honestly, couldn’t have asked for a smoother stay. 10/10 would recommend if you want a clean, comfy spot with a host who goes the extra mile!

Our stay was excellent. It was so clean and has everything to live comfortably in for longer stays. The pool is beautiful and clean, the balcony was our hang out area that was reasonably private and the kitchen has everything. The studio was an amazing place to stay for the week. Easily accessible to public transport and nearby heaps of shops and restaurants. Rosie and Marty couldn't have been any more hospitable and welcoming and of course the 2 pups Olive and Willow were the best co-hosts too 🥰🙌

Maria's place was excellent. There were 5 of us staying for 5 nights, and we were very happy with the place. Clean, well appointed, and easy to live wth. the pool was clean and tidy. The main living area was great. Beds were comfortable. Highly recommended.

A nice and well equiped studio apartment. Fold out couch was made up before arrival for our daughter which was lovely. Was a quiet space and an enjoyable space for 4 nights. Hosts were nice and available if anything was needed.

We had a really nice time staying in Rosannes unit, the house is well equipped & had everything we needed for our family of four with two young children. The area was nice & quiet and only a quick drive to local shops for coffee etc. We enjoyed the beautiful surrounds for walks too. We would happily stay again.

Larissa's townhouse was bright, spacious and well presented. The kitchen was particularly well equipped and sparkling. The outdoor area is perfect to enjoy the weather and a great space for pets. The town house is situated in a quiet area, a short walk to parks, a lovely cafe and the bay. Larissa's communication was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed our 3 day stay in this lovely town house.

Great experience, quiet suburb conveniently located with accessible shops and amenities nearby. Fini was responsive and helpful throughout, and helped to make our stay with a baby smooth and comfortable.

Had a lovely stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful outlook. Rachel’s attention to detail really stood out, small touches like having my name on the welcome board made me feel right at home.
