We enjoyed a delightful long weekend at Croft 41. The house was perfect for our needs (two families with kids), the location absolutely stunning, and the wood-fired hot tub was also real highlight! Rachel is a very friendly and communicative host. Would definitely return in the future if we were looking to stay in this beautiful corner of Skye.

Norman and Leona are very friendly and great hosts. The cottage was cosy clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is looking out to the most beautiful beach and scenery. 5min walk to beach. If you like peace and tranquility this is the place to stay. It's location is ideal to travel to other parts of the island. Norman and Leona are around if you need help with anything but they do not intrude on your privacy. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Thank you Norman and Leona we had an amazing holiday.

The cottage was adorable and the location absolutely beautiful! We spent some time on the beach soaking in the sunset over the water. Phil was a fantastic host - super attentive and informative. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

It’s a wonderful place to stay! One of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life. It’s also centrally located on the Isle of Skye, which makes it a strategic spot to spend a few days. The accommodation is perfect and very peaceful ! Thank you Mags

When we arrived at Juliet’s cottage we instantly knew we were in for a treat. With lambs and bunnies literally outside the front door - we felt fully immersed in nature. The cottage has been beautifully decorated with extra special touches including the local artwork and textiles. We absolutely loved our stay, and feel incredibly grateful that we were lucky enough to experience Skirnish Cottage whilst on a trip visiting Scotland (where my family is originally from) with our 1 year old before our next baby arrives!

Maison très cosy. Tout est pensé pour que les vacanciers soient à l’aise : de la place dans et sur les placards, un étendoir à linge, une cafetière. Très professionnel. L’environnement est particulièrement paisible. Trois maisons plus loin, une auberge où nous avons passé une soirée très écossaise avec cornemuse, guitare et bombarde avec bière etc , plein de monde. Grand View was a brilliant place for our family holiday (2 adults, two children and a dog). The house was bigger than we expected and it was so homely. The views were absolutely breathtaking!! The beds were so comfortable and cosy. The log burner was great as even in May it felt chilly at times. The electric heaters were great too and kept us more than toasty. We loved the garden (and so did our dog), the views were amazing. We’d definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

My partner and I enjoyed a fantastic stay here. Situated in idyllic surroundings, the pod is cosy, homely and spacious. It is kept impeccably clean and has all the essentials required for a comfortable visit. I would wholeheartedly recommend to others!

If relaxing is what you’re looking to do, then this place is perfect. Beautiful surroundings, even when it rains!! Definitely recommend the Plockton Inn for dining and drinks.

We loved this place. Truly beautiful surroundings, right on the waterfront. Nice little pub up the road that does good food and a small well stocked shop. The house was lovely. Very comfortable. Thank you!

Such a beautiful opportunity to experience the quiet and authentic side of Stornaway. We loved every minute we spent at The Bunker! The views were spectacular and the sunrises/sunsets ever changing. The kitchen was sprinkled with locally baked treats and even homemade jam for us to enjoy. It was such a delight. The only drawback, for me personally, is how I move forward with no warming towel rack in my life!! I can’t unfeel the delightfulness of warmed clothes on a chilly morning. They are not common in the states. On a scale of one to ten, The Bunker was easily a 72 ;).

My partner and I had an incredible time at Sandava for his 30th birthday. The view from the cabin is incredible and we spent many an evening just sat in front of the window with our books. The location is a quiet area of the island which was exactly what we wanted, but still close enough by car to all the main attractions of Skye. Would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to others.

Leo’s place was amazing—super comfy and spacious with absolutely breathtaking views. I’ll admit, I thought the GPS had lost its mind a couple of times… those roads are narrow. But hey, dodging sheep and cows turned out to be half the adventure! We have so many pictures of them on the road ❤️. Leo and his wife were incredibly responsive and answered all my (many) questions quickly. We already miss Fisherman’s Loft!

We stayed for two nights at this lovely home in Achintraid and absolutely loved it. The house was cosy, warm, and spotlessly clean — the perfect place to unwind. The location is wonderfully peaceful and tranquil, right on the edge of the loch with breathtaking views of the Applecross mountains. Watching stags roam just outside the windows was truly magical, and sunsets from the upstairs sitting room were unforgettable. The home is fully equipped with everything you’d need, including a great selection of books — perfect for spending a peaceful week by the lake reading or heading out to explore the many nearby hikes and scenic spots. The whole experience felt really special. Neil and Carol were friendly and responsive, making our stay even more enjoyable.

We loved the quiet rural setting on the loch with colours changing in the light all day long. The villages and towns in the area had some good restaurants and we found many places for long walks. The facilities at the house were adequate for cooking and leisure. The only downside, which did not affect us really, were some peculiarities that we've never before encountered in the many airBNBs we have rented in the past: several rooms, closets and cupboards were locked and off-limits; and many rather unnecessary "polite advice" signs posted. In our previous experience, the number of guests has had no effect on access.

One of the BEST Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at in terms of thoughtfulness, cleanliness & instructions. Not exaggerating. The location & view is outstanding & the whole experience idyllic. They really did think of everything a guest could need or want while touring Isle of Skye. None of us wanted to leave & we all would go back. Easy checkin/checkout. Many recommendations & clear instructions. We were so grateful for all the thoughtful touches & uncluttered space. I think a highlight for our party was simply the layout of the downstairs which was perfect for a dinner in with a view. We just enjoyed spending time there & wished we could be there longer. We had a wonderful stay here! The house was cozy, clean, and full of character, set in a beautiful and peaceful location. Communication with the host was excellent — clear, prompt, and helpful throughout. The amenities provided made our stay very comfortable. We truly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

We have just had a fantastic family holiday in Mark's beautiful house in Ardelve. The house is very spacious and thoughtfully laid out, with top quality furnishings and equipment and we especially liked the large living room, modern kitchen and using the games room. The house sits right on Loch Alsh and has incredible views towards the Five Sisters which have got to be up there with the very best in Scotland. The family made a lot of use of the loch to both swim and Kayak on and we managed to see a seal and a sea eagle every day from the house's large windows. Ardelve is also a wonderful location, as it gives you easy access to the Isle of Skye , loch Carron with the stunning village of Plockton and walking round the loch to the world famous Eilean Donan castle. Eating out and take away options in the area are also excellent particularly for seafood & fresh fish and is a must to try for any visitor. We loved our time at the But N Ben and will certainly return in the future.

We had an incredible stay at Aline Lodge. The lodge is really beautiful - top marks for all the fires having firewood, firefighters, and matches all ready to go. The electric Aga means the kitchen is always warm, and the view is world class. We went fishing twice (caught 11 trout!), clay pigeon shooting, used the sauna, and played table tennis and billiards. The kids went out on the boat around the loch and saw sea eagles, golden eagles, seals and a porpoise. Robert the gamekeeper was great - really responsive and happy to help. Could not recommend this highly enough - we will be back!

A little piece of Heaven. Fantastic house, surrounding and view. We fought for the couch to bird watch over tidal pool. Can't say enough about this property and our host. Until next time.

We stayed in this house as a party of five (parents + two teenagers + grandpa), and found the house perfectly laid out for a group. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, which was so convenient, and the living area and kitchen had plenty of seating for us to congregate around. The washer and dryer were super helpful for doing laundry (a rack and small fans are provided too, to finish off any clothes still damp from the condensation dryer). We didn't do any super complicated cooking, but the cooking we did was easy with the double oven, stovetop, and dishwasher. The view is unbeatable. Like just something from a postcard. We'd sit down in the morning and mean to turn something on the TV and end up staring out the window instead. We were there during a blustery GALE and the house was still completely airtight and snug, no drafts or anything. Uig is a bit more far-flung (although it has a couple restaurants and a shop), so be sure to plan for groceries and drives accordingly.

Harbour House was the perfect place to stay for our trip to the Isle of Skye. The views are amazing and proximity to hikes, distilleries, etc. was exactly what we were looking for! Fiona was very helpful in sharing directions and recommendations leading up to our stay. We hope to be back sometime in the future!
