Marugg's place exceeded all of our expectations!!!! Lugano was our final stop on our 2 week family trip through Italy. We experienced many beautiful places throughout the 2 weeks but Marugg's place exceeded them all!!! The attention to detail was phenomenal. The location was 'perfetto,' the views spectacular and the home pristine. Our grandchildren made excellent use of the pool and the outdoor space was incredible! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the expansive patio area soaking in the tranquil views of the lake and all of the beautiful flowers. The smell of honeysuckle abounded outdoors ~ Marugg's home truly encompassed all of the senses. We cannot recommend it enough and we can't wait to return on our next visit to see our Swiss family! Marugg, thank you so much for your kind hospitality! We feel honored to have been welcomed into your exceptional home. We made so many beautiful memories with our family. The attic apartment is clean and bright as described. Amenities: everything you need. Beautiful view of the region (Tesserete), especially the view towards San Salvatore. Public transport in the immediate vicinity, but you are more flexible by car. Many beautiful hiking opportunities are recommended, including Denti della Vecchia.

I booked a one-night stay en route from Luzern to Milan. The listing was as described, and though it was fairly bare bones, I had everything I needed for a short stay. It was away from the crowded areas though still easily commutable by bus and even walkable. The view of the lake was lovely, and I especially loved the honeysuckle-lined path to the garden.

We had a very dreamy and very pleasant stay and I hope we can return to this beautiful house again. Everything was clean and available. The view of the lake was truly spectacular and wonderful experience that we may not be able to experience again for years.

The communication was perfect, Davide always responded super quickly and gave very detailed, helpful instructions. The flat was lovely, just perfect for two people. The flat is not located in a busy, buzzing place, like other some of the towns in Lake Como but we preferred that. We could walk to the ferry in Urio or Moltrasio and get around easily. Some gorgeous restaurants close by. Thank you Davide and Benedicta, we'd lvoe to come back one day :).

This is by far the most beautiful property my partner and I have stayed in. Jennifer & Nico were incredibly responsive, friendly and helpful with every aspect of the stay. The place itself has stunning views and the interior is flawlessly curated. The pictures don’t quite do justice to how magnificent it is. We had a perfect time & would highly recommend to anyone.

Perfect. Cinzia's house is exceptional, full of light, flowers, tasteful details. It has two balconies that are oriented in opposite directions, so the views are different in the morning and in the afternoon, we enjoy them a lot. Cinzia left us coffee, dairy, cookies, butter, sweets and fruits so we practically had everything for breakfast, and a delicious wine to enjoy on the balcony. We also surprisingly received a lemon cake that was exquisite. Cinzia is truly an exceptional host who cares about every detail and did what was necessary to make us very comfortable. Access from the central train station is a 10-minute walk and less than 150 meters away you can access metro lines 2 and 3 (green and yellow), so the location is excellent. We are very grateful that Cinzia opened the doors of her home to us and we emphatically recommend this property.

Beautiful apartment, great area for bars/ restaurants and easy access to Metro. From start to finish Francesca was super helpful, super response with great recommendations. Would not hesitate to stay here again and would definitely recommend!

Super charming home with absolutely stunning views of Lake Como better seen in person. The amenities were wonderful and the hosts were so very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Also, be sure to book any transportation ahead of time.

We were there for a family wedding which was nearby so was the perfect location. The building had been an old monastery which has been sympathetically and very tastefully renovated it was fantastic we had our own courtyard with loungers table and chairs, beautiful touches throughout can’t rate our stay highly enough 100%. What stood out was Luca himself he helped us enormously. We had a family dinner planned in the neighbouring town but found it impossible to get a taxi bearing in mind it was a Sunday and maybe not as many available even Luca tried but no luck so he took us in his car to the venue which I thought was amazing khe also helped to carry our luggage when we arrived and when we left very very helpful.5stars for the house and 6stars for the host.

The apartment gave the real Italian feeling. The pattio and garden were amazing and gave an relaxing enviroment. And the views over Lago di Como was breathtaking. Could sit outside and just enjoy the view and silence for hours. Would absolutly stay there again.

We had very relaxing days with Katrin, who welcomed us very warmly. The apartment was very clean and the view of the lake was beautiful! You are surrounded by a beautiful green garden, where we were even allowed to use the fresh herbs. We also liked the possibility of renting the two SUPs to paddle on the lake. We will be happy to come back. 🥰

This place is spacious, spotless, and absolutely stunning, and Mavi is such a great host. She took time to explain everything to us and all the ways to enhance our trip with lots of recommendations for fun excursions and delicious restaurants. We so enjoyed sitting on the balconies in the evening, overlooking the lake, and we even were able to catch the fireworks during the holiday weekend. What a pleasant surprise that was for us! We will definitely be back if we’re ever in the area again, and we highly recommend this house to anyone looking to enjoy beautiful Stresa on Lake Maggiore!

Great little place to hang your hat while in Milan! Clean and modern interior with lots of bathroom and bathroom space. Cozy living/dining area complimented with a small but equipped kitchen leading to a great private terrace. Walking distance to everything you need. Anna was very quick to respond to any messages and offered some great local suggestions. Would definitely stay again on our next trip to Milano!

Great location, the appartement is nice but it is the location that really makes it an incredible stay. Not just lake Como in general but also having 2 restaurants downstairs.

The accommodation is located above the village and thus has a great view of Lake Como. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning but a fan is available and although we had 30 degrees during the day, you could ventilate well in the evening and also sleep well. The pool is large and surrounded by lots of meadow. We arrived with a child and were able to relax well.

Marissa & Antonello were wonderful hosts for us staying in Milan for 5 days. Proactive communication from booking and gave us detailed instructions to get to their apartment from the train station. They then showed us around the apartment and complex so we could get around easily. They were always on hand to give us further information about the city & the apartment and left us enough amenities to last us for the duration of our stay. The apartment itself was very clean and modern with a peaceful environment from other residents. Would 100% stay here again if I come back to Milan.

I join the very good comments already made. The magnificent view combined with the cozy side of the apartment. Lots of beautiful things in the area. Car necessary in my opinion otherwise a little less than 1 kilometer of coast. I loved it

beautiful location. i prefer varnessa to belagio. flat is just the right size for a couple. if there's anything I want to mention is that it's in a much higher location than I expected. one would definitely need a car for more frequent visit to the town below. the host is so friendly and always available and responsive.

This is easily one of our favourite stays we’ve ever had. Galit and Daniel were so helpful the entire time and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Check in and check out were both flexible and smooth. The apartment is nothing short of incredible. It’s beautifully designed and located in the most amazing part of the lake - Nesso. Nesso is pure magic. The apartment is located in a hidden oasis with a private pool only for residents that has incredible views of the lake. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough :)

Antonio is an exemplary host! Nothing was too much trouble, his responses to our requests were immediate and he couldn’t have been more helpful. The views, location and ambiance are 5 star plus! Styling was minimalistic but on point. We loved the vibe and it’s the perfect couples retreat. Highly recommended! As hosts ourselves we know how important it is to communicate and provide a bespoke experience for our guests and Antonio exceeded all expectations!
