We are a family homestead who built a one room straw bale house finished with clay plaster from our land. We invite you to come enjoy nature in our little oasis. The space is heated with the help of both a rocket stove and abundant natural sunlight. You'll also have access to an outdoor kitchen, a campfire site and a composting toilet. Derek & Nathan are super hosts! Both hosts are extremely communicative, accommodating, proactive, flexible, professional, and understanding. Our group of 8 was worried of the possibility the snowy weather would affect our travel dates but our hosts took the time out to shovel clearing the exterior prior to our arrival and even providing us with snow materials such as shovels, salt, etc. just in case we needed it. The images didn’t do the interior enough justice either! The home was beautiful, peaceful, quiet, cozy and extremely spacious. For shopping I would recommend doing it early since there is only Food Lion & Dollar General as grocery options but there is an ABC store close by as well if you are into spirits. We will 100% return if our group ever prepares to stay in Mineral again. Thank you both once again.

This Airbnb was perfect for a trip with 10 women for a relaxing lake get away. It was a huge house with plenty of space if someone needed some quiet or privacy. A well supplied kitchen — we were able to cook all our meals at home. The space had more amenities than we knew what to do with! And it was less than a ten minute drive from where we would pick up our boat rental. So convenient.

Peaceful and then some. The house is located on a quiet dead end street…perfect for walking your 4-legged friend. Once inside the covered breezeway, make your way through the door and you’re greeted by a well appointed kitchen with plenty of room to prepare meals. From there you enter the dining and living room areas with plenty of seating. Hidden on this level of the house is a master bedroom with en-suite bath. Take a trip up via the spiral staircase and you will find 3 more bedrooms and another full bath. Head back downstairs to the main level and you will be met with the showstopper…the outdoor area. There’s an expansive deck with a large table and chairs plus deep seating for an evening relaxing while looking over the lake. A short stroll away lies the pier and all the water toys. We enjoyed the paddle boat and the canoe very much.

We enjoyed our stay at Tracy's place! Came down to do a triathlon at Lake Anna. Very peaceful area and the house itself was very inviting and comfy. The main bed was a bit hard but that is more to do with my personal taste than anything. Would definitely stay here again.
