Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Los Altos

Truthfully, I have nothing but positive feedback. Two couples travelling between hiking trips and a wedding. This was a great place to unwind and regroup, with plenty of lovely walkable cafes nearby to set us up for the subsequent leg of our trip. A tight squeeze for 6 looking for privacy, perhaps, but pretty darn good for two couples! Check in was easy and clear. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a peaceful and restorative stay in Maureen's house. The house and grounds are spacious, private and beautiful. We rented two bedrooms/1 bath (the main floor of the house), perfect for 3 of us. Our son was recovering from jaw surgery so the recliner in the family room was much appreciated, and the kitchen/dining areas huge and super functional. The hosts are very communicative and helpful, as well as easy-going. This was the perfect home for our purposes!

This is probably the best Airbnb we've ever stay at. This is a real home, with loving thought put into every room. Where to start? The master bedroom has a huge and comfortable bed, with high quality bedding. The en-suite has a waterfall showerhead in a spacious shower. There is yoga equipment in the spare room which I enjoyed using in the quiet and calm space. The kitchen is a chef's dream; it has everything you need, and the cookware, utensils, kitchen gadgets...it is all the top tier stuff, where one truly appreciates the material and the utility of the equipment. You'll also enjoy an array of literature to read while you relax in this home; there is no shortage of books. A massive highlight was the outside garden and ourdoor kitchen. We sat outside listening to the birds everyday and enjoyed barbequed dinners. Finally, Sauro and Susan were outstanding hosts: responsive, thoughtful, and professional throughout, with easy and seamless commuication. Don’t hesitate to book here!

Simple and practical. The place is minimalist with everything you will need. The location was great for our travel proposal close to Apple, Stanford, and Saratoga. If I travel again to the Bay area I would stay there one more time.

Na and Ivan's place is easy to get to and very clean. Check-in was easy and the instructions were perfect, too. Overall, the place was very spacious, with a bedroom, separate kitchen and dining area, and living room, which is way more than you'd get in a hotel. I also liked that they provided coffee grounds and the basic kitchen appliances to make breakfast (fridge, coffee maker, water kettle, toaster, microwave, etc.). The water pressure in the bathroom was good, and the shower height is adjustable to fit people of any height. The only things that would make it even better would be to put a sink in the kitchen area so guests don't have to wash dishes in the bathroom, and to replace the old, oversized, loud fridge with a more modern, quieter one. Other than that, the place was great and the hosts responded to my questions quickly.

We had a fantastic stay at Anna’s place. The location is unbeatable—right at Stanford’s doorstep and just a short walk from the field where I could go for a run. The apartment is spacious and well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The furnishings are high-quality and thoughtfully chosen; I especially appreciated the soft cotton sheets, the comfortable bed, and the spacious deck for enjoying the outdoors. Anna was a wonderful host—responsive, helpful, and kind. This place is truly a gem!

Stayed at Oriel’s place during a recent trip to Palo Alto and couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The space looks just like the photos, everything feels fresh and nicely upgraded, with thoughtful touches throughout. There’s even a small patio that was perfect for enjoying my morning coffee. It’s in a great location too, just a short drive to Stanford and close enough to everything without feeling too busy. Oriel was super communicative, especially when some construction started next door. He went out of his way to have them hold off while I finished an important video call, which I really appreciated. All in all, it was a great stay. Loved the space, loved the hospitality, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. Visiting from North Carolina

Great stay at a great location. Short walk to downtown palo with lots of great restaurants and shops. Check in was very easy with clear instructions. Everything was as described and pictured in the listing. Would love to stay again, highly recommended.

This was the a great place to stay for a short work trip. The unit is a first floor private studio apartment with its own private bathroom and kitchen in a small apartment building. There is controlled access to the overall building as well as a key to the room. It is convenient walking distance from everything on Castro as well as the Caltrain station. As others mention, the main drawback was the noise, but I actually found it easier to sleep that way. The kitchen is stocked with some basic food items and breakfast like bagels, yogurt, fruit, coffee pods. It is an older building and unit that I thought had character. Very clean and comfortable.

Perfect stay in Palo Alto! The place was very comfortable and spacious in a peaceful area and in walking distance from the town. We really enjoyed our time there and April and the team were super helpful and responsive to any questions or needs.

Easy to access, availability of parking and the shopping/restaurants made this location perfect for us! Eugene was quickly responsive to a couple of questions we had. The place was very clean and had what we needed for our stay!

Nader, We love the Deco and the Vibes of the home. Toilet has heated seats and in-Built Bidet spray for your Ehem-ehems! Toaster,water boiler,many pans, oven, microwave, he has everything u need. I asked about Aircon🙈. We did. not need aircon as The weather is so nice and cold at Night (11degrees 13-18Jun). We loved that Nader is a responsive and responsible host. My 15yr old son had a home accident and broke a hanging light fixture at the dining area as he stood up. We informed Nader of the issue. Super-host asked "firstly, is your son okay? Does he need medical attention? I have a first aid kit in the home". Super-host Wins!!! (Inna haza larizkunna mallahu minnafad. Staying for the second time here and it felt home yet again. Hosts were super flexible and responsive. Quite place. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite locations ive stayed in. Beautiful scenery! Beautiful home, comfortable bed! I'd love to live there! Only complain is the entrance to parking, if you have a low car, the bottom will scrape horrible if you dont hug the wall. and if youre staying downstairs, youll hear upstairs foot steps, but that was only 1 morning. besides those 2 complaints, its a excellent Beautiful home!

We had a fantastic time. The view was second to none, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Great coffee shop within walking distance (albeit with a decent hill). We happened to stay when whales were just off the coast and saw them from the shore. Could not have asked for a better day. For those with mobility issues - you do need to climb about 10 narrow steps to get to the tram, which lets you skip the rest of the stairs. But there is no way around those first steps. Would absolutely come back.
