Villa vacation rentals in Locarno

We feel so lucky to have found this airbnb for our family stay during our daughter's wedding week in Lake Como. The villa was gorgeous, even more beautiful than the pictures on the site. We booked the home originally because my parents were going to be joining us, and we knew that my father, who is an historian, would love the history surrounding the villa, and the gardens and frescos. My parents unfortunately had to cancel their trip at the last minute, but my husband, sister and son were able to stay there, and loved it! Our week in Cernobbio will be a memorable one, for many reasons, and Villa Mantegazza will always have a special place in our hearts. As some have noted, it is a walk up hill, and we had to drag 4 heavy suitcases up the gravel walkway and then two flights of stairs. So it definitely requires a little effort. Although it seems most homes in the area require some walking and stairs or climbing, so this wasn't unique in the least. Thank you Renata and Sara!

Perfect stay! The house was exactly as shown in the photos: clean, cozy and with attention to detail. Check-in was simple and on time. The host was kind and helpful for every need, always responding quickly. I absolutely recommend it to those looking for a quiet accommodation!

Wonderful property, well situated. Reachable directly by car (if you navigate the narrow road), or via a big parking spot + stairs. Great view, nicely equipped with everything, host brought new coffee capsules once they ran out (Amici caffee, amazing) when I asked the very next day. Lorenzo is a perfect host, can only recommend it. Looking forward to go again!

This was one of the best air bnb experiences I have had, highly highly recommend. The photos do not do the view justice, it is truly amazing. The pool is perfect for families with children. The air BnB has everything you could need, comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, clean modern bathrooms, so specious. We had the most amazing week! Deborah is an incredible host, very detailed guide book, excellent communication, she went out of her way to make sure our stay was super. We didn’t want to leave. It is a 30 minute walk down the hill to the centre of Menaggio. The hill to the top is steep with cars/walking but it is so so worth it for the view. Thank you Deborah, we couldn’t have had a better time.

Spotlessly clean well furnished and equipped accommodation. The location is ideal for visiting the lakes plus it is a reasonable distance from the airport and Milan.. The host is very helpful and always contactable. Having stayed in numerous airbnbs this is one of the best I have booked. I would without hesitation recommended staying here if you are visiting the Italian lakes.

This villa was perfect for our needs. The views are incredible and the space was perfect for our group of 7. We enjoyed the walks in the forested lanes down to the lake and taking the ferry to the little towns nearby.

The house and garden are an amazing place to stay. The views over the lake and the expansive and gorgeous garden and pool area are good to relax and chill and enjoy the Italian weather. The house is well maintained and I also really liked the kitchen and how well it was equipped. We had a good time cooking and BBQing. There are lots om fun games in the house as well (pingpong, fussbal, etc) Andrea was a fantastic, kind and flexible host who communicated really well during the entire process. I would love to go back to this house!

We had a lovely stay in Oliveta Laria. I can't say enough good things about Marzia. She communicated well from the time of reservation through check-out and beyond. The house is beautiful, magnificent view and very private. Believe what she says about the driveway!! It is very steep and windy. Smaller cars much better. We had a large van and it was intimidating. The path through the woods to the town was nice. We would definitely rent from Marzia again!!

We were there with 3 families including 4 children and it was a wonderful stay. The villa still exceeds the expectations you have through the photos. There are countless touches designed with a lot of taste and knowledge. The age and size of the villa mean that individual items are always broken, which did not disturb us. The Park is huge. In the edge areas of the park and at dusk you need a good mosquito spray. There are many small deciduous frogs in the meadow. Karim was a really warm and helpful host. He knows the history of the house in every detail and is a very entertaining and fun conversationalist.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Bellagio! The house was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything our family needed for a comfortable stay. The views from the villa were absolutely stunning — a perfect backdrop to our mornings and evenings. The location was ideal: just a short drive to grocery stores, downtown Bellagio, and the lake, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The hosts were responsive and made sure everything was ready for our arrival. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in such a charming town. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We are a family of 5 and absolutely loved staying in Pierina's Airbnb. The place was clean, beautifully situated write at the lake, and we felt very welcome. We would definitely come back - can recommend!

Beautiful villa with casual pool and cozy covered seating area. The villa is divided into two separate levels, so it also offers retreats. Everything was clean and nicely decorated, but it is relatively noisy. The view of the lake and the surroundings was awesome.

Very clean environment and with every comfort. It's like feeling at home. I enjoyed everything... from the soft and fragrant linens, to the terrace where it's a show to eat, to the pool to cool off. Katiuscia's dad set up umbrellas and deck chairs for us every morning. The place is very relaxing and is a strategic point for reaching beautiful places to visit. Thanks for hosting! :-)

Very special house! Original. Lots of art in the house. Stunning views. All the facilities available Clean. Quiet village. Pool was lovely given the high temperatures! Surroundings are beautiful. Lots of beautiful walks made. Bicycles rented at 3 minutes' walking distance. Very nice people. Speak Italian and a little french. Great bike ride for mountain bikes made from the house. Electric support necessary. Very friendly reception. Technical defect was resolved very adequately and quickly.

The house is in a beautiful area with a view on the lake. The pictures don’t even show how big the garden is. The kitchen is well equipped and all the rooms are air-conditionned. We had a great time here!

The house looks good like on a picture. When we checked in , it was not cleaned up after previous guests, bus Susanne was responsive and organize quickly a cleaning lady and refund us cleaning fee . I’m satisfy with a stay. The only minus that you can’t park right in front of the house, might be uncomfortable if you carrying heavy things. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.

...it is no coincidence that this location deserves the best from every point of view...!!...a really beautiful historic villa...where you can stay in absolute tranquility...pampered by Simion in every detail...!!...excellent value for money...very close to the lakes...it is really the ideal place to stay for a wonderful holiday...BRAVII...!!! Carlo and the 12 cyclists from Cuneo...! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

The accommodation was super nice, old substance and renovation charmingly combined, impeccably clean and everything you need for a holiday with the family. We particularly liked the mosquito screens on all windows, so that permanent ventilation was possible. The garden is huge and perfect for children, teenagers and adults to relax, the private pool is great to get a refreshment in the morning, or to enjoy the well-deserved cooling after a long day of exploring. Since no one else was there except us, we had this chill-out area really totally to ourselves, a real gem!! The recreation room with table tennis, darts and table football and some toys for younger kids is also great, even if there is bad weather, there is no time for boredom. The only really negative point is the volume of the street, which we were not aware of before. Those who are sensitive should consider this. The mopeds feel like they're driving through the bed... But otherwise - a paradise!!
