Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Little River Canyon

Our family enjoyed a very nice and peaceful stay! The place had everything! We spent most of our time I'm Chattanooga which was a small drive BUT we'll worth it to come back to a peaceful, beautiful, clean place to lay our heads and relax!

Perfect cozy, quiet cottage with the best porch! Got lucky and had rain the entire time, there is nothing like a storm on a tin roof. Felt private even with neighbors. Would love to stay again!

A wonderful modern and well-styled home on a peaceful one just outside of Mentone. Wish we would have had more time to rest and relax at the home. My spouse & I took our 3 kids here for a mini vacation! It was a dream, they provided paddle boards/canoes/games. We didn’t catch any fish so bring your A game! The house was clean & homey. Will definitely plan to be back! Thanks for having us!

We loved our stay at Ashwood House! It was so clean, spacious, and well stocked with all the essentials. We sat by the fire each night on the cozy patio furniture and walked down the street to the Wildflower Cafe to eat some delicious meals. We hope to return next summer. Thank you!

We truly enjoyed staying here. It was a home away from home. We had everything we needed. The house is well kept from the inside out. Also, Kara was quick to respond when I had a question.

The most amazing hostess! This home feels like home. Janet thinks of everything! This wonderful 1920’s home has classic high ceilings making it feel airy with large rooms and multiple places to enjoy gathering with family or friends. There is no skimping on the decor, it is filled with beautiful period perfect furniture and artwork. It’s so relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped with all the things you need to really cook! The bedrooms are also well done. Crisp sheets on top notch beds make for great sleep. Outside is a wonderful covered patio with multiple seating and dining areas and it is absolutely magical with tiny lights, fountain and abundant plants surrounding it. You would never know that it’s only a few blocks to grocery and dining. What wonderful experience! I will always book this home when I am in the area.

The home, location and host were perfect! The home itself is gorgeous, clean and exactly as described. The location is a quaint little town with plenty of walking, hiking and scenic views. Mrs. Wendy was super responsive and very kind. The little details of our stay like the fresh organic eggs and blueberries added to the homey little mountain retreat we were looking forward to. If you’re looking for a picturesque getaway to unplug and escape the hustle and bustle, this is it!

Very relaxing stay! Although it rained all the days we were there, it was great family bonding time with many games played and time spent fishing when we could. The house was as advertised. Only a couple of minor things came up that in no way hindered our stay. It would be normal things that would happen at your own home. Roger was always quick to respond with answers to questions that we had and was very helpful during the booking process. All of our kids made the statement that they would rather come back and stay here than go on a big trip. If you’re looking to get away and enjoy family time, this place is perfect for just that! After we got passed Airbnb giving us the wrong code to enter the apartment we had no further problems and enjoyed our stay. The co-host Lorraine was very helpful. The train and highway traffic were annoying but, tolerable. We prefer more of a country setting. This apartment was in the suburbs so it was close to amenities, which was a positive aspect.

We visited The Valhalla to celebrate my mother in laws 60th birthday! This place is nothing short of amazing! The view was beautiful! The house was immaculate and very cozy! Desiree had everything we needed and more! Needless to say we enjoyed the time we spent and we will definitely be back!

This was the perfect place to relax!! The sunsets and scenery around the cabin are better in person than in the pictures posted. My husband and I were there to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We enjoyed slow mornings with breakfast on the front porch overlooking the valley. Sight seeing each day and then getting back early enough to enjoy the sunset in the hot tub. We enjoyed exploring the Desoto Falls area and Little River Canyon. We drove to Chattanooga and visited Rock City and Ruby Falls. Angie was so sweet to make us a reservation at The Elevation Bistro. Elevation is a quaint little restaurant with an outstanding chef. My favorite was the French onion soup and my husband loved his hamburger. We both thought the pecan praline bread pudding was next level. This was probably the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation I’ve had in a while. Spend the extra money on a good view….its well worth it!!

This cabin, is a slice of heaven wrapped in wood and wrapped again in vibes. It’s peaceful, transcendent even. Impeccable design; styled so well I started questioning every room of my own house. Every room looks like it was curated by a team of chipmunks trained at Parsons. But here’s the twist, the windows. Huge, panes of glass so clear, even mother nature was confused. The local birds? Not so much fans. They kept dive bombing the house like they were trying to stage a feathery coup. We lost count. Seriously, it was like living in a Disney princess movie… if the birds were drunk and had no spatial awareness. Still, it was the most serene, beautiful, refreshing stay we’ve ever had. We will be back. Highly recommend!

This has easily been my favorite Airbnb stay to date! The home was thoughtfully stocked with everything a guest could possibly need—and more. From extra fishing poles and tackle for a day on the water, to a fully equipped kitchen with a wide variety of cooking essentials, every detail felt carefully considered. The space was spotless, cozy, and incredibly welcoming. You can tell the hosts put a lot of heart into creating a comfortable and memorable experience. Whether you're relaxing indoors, cooking a meal, or heading out for some hiking, everything you could think of is right at your fingertips. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-appointed, relaxing getaway!

this little cabin was the perfect place to relax for a weekend! the host had more than we needed plus thoughtful suggestions for local hotspots. it was clean when we got there and had easy and reasonable check out policies. the landscape around the cabin is gorgeous, and there is a fantastic river beach spot not even 5 minutes from the cabin. the hosts were super communicative although we had no issues during our stay and didn’t need to contact them. one of my favorite personal touches was that there was plenty of prechopped fire wood ready for us at the fire pit. you can truly tell this is a host who would stay in his own airbnb because of how well thought out the location, amenities, and styling all are. i would recommend this for any couples or small families who are looking for a fun and inexpensive getaway to the mountains without all the traffic of gatlinburg or chattanooga!
