Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Lasithi

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

The house has such stunning interiors, it is laid out like a 5 star hotel suite with all the added extras too - top quality shampoo/conditioner, body lotion and more. Kitchen was outstanding with every device require including 2 coffee machines - capsules and filter. The lounge is really big and the interiors very high quality, the TV is massive! The beds are super comfy and the linens really wonderful cotton, with beautiful throw cushions and occasional chairs. It feels like a 5 star hotel. As you enter the house on the lower level there are 2 double bedrooms with a shared bathroom and the laundry room, one flight of stairs up is the lounge/kitchen, and outside patio, then up again to the top floor is the master bedroom with dressing room, storage cupboard, ensuite bathroom, and outside patio. All rooms have air-conditioning. Sitia is a lovely harbor town with many restaurants and a great beach, lots of others a short drive away. Totally recommend this place - we hit the jackpot.

Everything is very well maintained - the location within walking distance to the beach is unbeatable. Friendly welcome from the host, highly recommended!

This was our favourite stay of the trip. The place is idyllic, with a private swimming area only a few steps away. The house is decorated tastefully and gives a really nice indoor-outdoor feeling with the large patio and sliding doors. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with everything you might need to cook, including well-sharpened knives! Manolis brought us some fresh vegetables from the farm, which were delicious. Everything about the place is thoughtful and we loved our stay there. It is ideal for a trip where you want to spend a lot of time relaxing at the house and hanging out, it is so nice we barely wanted to leave!

What a find this place was. Beautifully restored traditional house in an amazingly beautiful village in the hills above the Pefki Gorge. The house is well provisioned and very tastefully decorated. Great ventilation and insect screens on the windows. We were there for a week and the temps were very hot, but we didn't need to use the AC at all. Wonderful local taverna - we went three times. Don't miss the Sunday night music and traditional dancing. Fanis the owner is very friendly and absolutely hilarious. A great local kafeneio - don't ask for a menu, just ask what's for lunch. Great views to the Libyan Sea - it is just 10 minutes down to Makry Gialo. Search around and you will find quiet beaches without rows of sunbeds if that's not your thing. A great base to explore East Crete, there are awesome mountain roads with cute villages and amazing views. Elina gave us great recommendations for restaurants and was very helpful. We loved this place. Would give it 6 stars if I could.

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

My husband and I spent a lovely week at Asteri Home. The house was exactly as expected and just what we wanted for our week in Crete. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to make breakfasts and a some dinners at home. The main double bedroom was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dark and the shower is quite small, but we made do. The most amazing part of the house is the huge garden overlooking the sea that has 4 sun loungers, 2 outdoor tables for dining, a BBQ and a dart board. We spent a lot of time sitting at the end of the garden enjoying the view. Véronique and Yiannis are amazing hosts. They were so helpful right from the start - arranging transport from the airport, a rental car, offering suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Kokkini Hani is quieter than other more touristy parts of Crete we visited. We found wonderful Greek restaurants with fresh seafood everyday. The supermarket and shops are all in walking distance. A lovely place!

We had the pleasure of staying in Rena's apartment from 5/26 to 6/2/25 and it was a fantastic experience! The apartment was as described but the view from the terrace also exceeded expectations! Unfortunately, we were unable to meet Rena in person, but she was always available for all our requests. She had warned us in advance that the village market would still be closed, so we could stock up on groceries before arriving, but she still made sure we had everything we needed in the house (thank you again!). In the house, there are all kinds of useful accessories for the kitchen, but also some thoughtful touches that I have never found on other occasions! The road to this small village is quite winding, but we felt so good there that we only moved once. There are 2/3 beaches (where we were often alone) reachable by a nice walk in the middle of nowhere breathing the scent of oregano! We hope to be back!

Very beautiful, large traditional Greek house. And an extraordinary garden with breathtaking views. With small hammock rest areas, sun loungers. Beautiful outdoor dining area. And a very warm and attentive family welcome.

The apartment lacks nothing! Dimitra is so warm and takes care of you immediately. The furniture and decor are high-quality and beautiful! You can feel that Dimitra cares very much about the well-being of the guest. It makes you feel right at home. The kitchen is very large and fully equipped, nothing is missing! Basics such as salt, pepper, vinegar, oil are available. The living area invites you to relax. Air conditioning in living room + bedroom available. The bed is large and very comfortable, very comfortable. We had very relaxing nights. There is space to tidy up your clothes. There are 2 balconies and one view tops the other. 1x overlooking the olive groves and mountains, 1x towards the sea incl. sunset, simply fantastic. Everything was super clean. Everything is furnished with a lot of love for detail. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood, yet everything is within walking distance. We thank Dimitra for her hospitality and cordiality. We will definitely be back.

Had a 2 week stay at Villa Heliopetra. The villa was absolutely beautiful, very private with amazing views. Within easy walk to a couple of good tavernas (about 10 min but there is a steep driveway back up to the villa) and an easy and scenic walk along the seafront (about 20min) to Elounda which has lots of options for tavernas, bars and shops. The villa had efficient air conditioning, a well equipped kitchen and a cosy area with the option of a real fire in an impressive fireplace. We paid to have the large hot tub heated in the first week as the weather was unusually chilly, but used it unheated to cool down when the temperatures rose. We found it to be a great addition. The outstanding feature was the fabulous view of the bay from Spinalonga island round to Elounda, absolutely breathtaking! We had a problem with slow Wifi during our stay but Giorgos sorted it very quickly. He was a brilliant host and very responsive to any questions. We would love to come back to stay again soon.

this house is very comfortable, really nothing is missing for a maximum quality of stay...the environment is simply splendid with fantastic views...a very comfortable exterior too...a taverna 50 m walk away or you can eat very well for cheap.. Mike and his parents are very friendly ,generous people who do everything to make your stay unforgettable...and they succeed...we would almost want to keep this address for us ,so it's jewelry from every point of view...thank you to them and we think we'll come back quickly ...the geographical location is excellent for visiting, the beach of Val,Sitia, mochlos and all the surrounding walks...house recommended without reservation...

The welcome with open arms turned the time back a bit: to the original Airbnb time, which was always personal and often warm. Thanks for letting us experience that again! The house is extremely spacious and surprises with two bathrooms with two showers (+ each toilet and always enough hot water). An incredible eye for detail makes living in Giorgio's accommodation always exciting :-) Really good mattresses are included - relaxing! The outdoor area is unbeatable: You step out of the house in "four phases"… from inside to half-outside to outside-half-inside to really outside :-D and you can relax everywhere, whatever you feel like. The access from Gra Lygia to the house requires some caution. The cats are super sweet, affectionate and well educated/maintained as well as fed - wow! Thanks Giorgios for the cozy exchanges and fresh cucumber surprise when you weren't working. Thanks to his wife for the baked surprise! Go there!

We had an incredible holiday in Plaka. The villa is tastefully decorated and equipped for a relaxing holiday, but the best part was the views and the attention we received from Tina, Aspa, and Angelis, who were always friendly and willing to help us enjoy our stay.

The villa was fabulous with amazing sea and mountain views and so much more space (bigger than we expected). Very quiet which was what we wanted and so you need a car. Lovely beaches and tavernas not too far away. Host and house keeper were very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

What words should we find for this excellent house, spotless, well equipped, furnished with taste, with unobstructed views of the sea and the mountains of Lasithi. The Apostolis impeccable host,very friendly, very kind and always willing to serve us. We wish him and his family to be well and to rejoice in their home. We hope we can come back for more days

A pleasant stay surrounded by nature in an area with a tidy garden, flowering plants, trees. The opportunity to enjoy nature, the environment and the sun at various times of the day, it has been furnished with cozy awnings and gazebos in various places in the garden , by the pool and in front of the house. It is possible to prepare a meal yourself in the kitchen, or on a live fire in the garden. For a cooler evening or romance there is a kindling fireplace in the house. Really liked the proximity to nature, no city noises and hustle, at the same time the city Heraklion can be reached by about 10-12 minutes by car. We felt cozy, the hosts were responsive and hospitable.
