Vacation rentals with lake access in Lake Norman of Catawba

We had a great stay to celebrate my husband’s first Father’s Day. It was great to have direct access to Lake Norman and we had a great time kayaking and swimming with our 10 month old. Lake Norman State Park was just 15 minutes away and we had a great little hike there.

Stunning place by the lake - perfect for our family with small kids. We booked very last minute, and everything was great. Amy was super responsive and helpful, and sorted out some minor issues really quickly!

This is a great place to stay. The location is nestled in a quiet cove and the house is close to many restaurants. The private dock was perfect to hang out on and take swim. We plan to come back in the future.

This place is gorgeous - the house, land, dock, view - all of it! I cannot recommend this place enough. The house sits right on the lake and is quiet and peaceful. Mr. Wesley was very thorough with the instructions and responded quickly to any questions we sent. We had such a wonderful time at this home and we look forward to coming back!

Loved staying here, it’s a cozy little spot right on the lake. Neighbors are so friendly, since there’s a shared dock, you do walk through the neighbors yard just a little to get on the dock. Loved waking up to the lake everyday. My son LOVED seeing fire flies and catching them. Only two things missing, the cushions for the outdoor patio furniture and bath mats to step on after a shower. The location is perfect, not far from Publix and general shopping needs. 10/10 would love to go back again :)

We had a wonderful time and created a lot of great memories. Having the boat available directly from the house was very beneficial and host came over to assist with boat instructions which was appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay in this new and pristine home. This is a beautiful space with a great pool and easy access to the lake via the house’s boat dock. The house is far into a cove, offering great privacy, but also no issue having our boat docked right there. The house was well stocked and the host was very responsive and helpful. Egrets Escape was perfect for our short stay in Lake Norman. As with most lake areas, you’ll find that miles on a map equates to much longer times on the roads to get anywhere but this place was conveniently located not far from a Publix in an easily accessible area. While the place is small, it has everything you need, whimsically designed and was absolutely spotless!! It was beautiful to just sit outside by the lake. We took the canoe out briefly, caught a very small fish with the baby rod provided 😄 and cooked out on the blackstone. We really appreciated the little coffee bar upstairs. Highly recommend!

Wow, what a location right by the lake! We absolutely loved this accommodation. its tastefully decorated, calm, peaceful and private. the living space is sociable and the front porch allows you to enjoy the view of the lake, the birds and just the wonderful peaceful atmosphere. there are kyaks and paddle boards and a beautiful dining area on the jetty. Comfortable beds, pretty linen, great bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen make it feel top end. Clearly this place is loved by the owner and we recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil stay. we came to Charlotte for the Speedway but we're so happy we got out of town to explore the countryside and enjoy Lake Norman. Downtown Moorseville is about 20 mins away and was a lovely place for a bit if shopping and some nice coffee ☕️ Thank you Patricia. we highly recommend your beautiful place at Tranquility Cove x

Sherry was an amazing host and the Lake Life Retreat was even better than what the pictures showed. This is the perfect location for a nice relaxing getaway. Added bonus was having 2 amazingly friendly dogs on site in Luna and Sandy 😁 We would definitely stay here again!

I generally forget to leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience here. We fortunately left the sub-par hotel we had just checked in, and found this spot. It exceeded our expectations. The apartment smelled fresh, looked new and had lots of space. The owner was very prompt answering a question and filling a need. The icing on the cake was sipping coffee by the lake on the morning of our departure. You will have fond memories staying here.

Beautiful condo overlooking Lake Norman, well stocked with all the necessities and then some: coffee, toiletries (including razors and toothbrushes), towels, linens, dishwasher pods. Very clean and seems recently updated. Our 8yo loved the pool for the complex. Great proximity to Davidson College. Host was very responsive—we had an issue with the doorbell randomly going off in the middle of the night and they promptly sent someone over to fix it.

The apartment was in a beautiful location, extremely clean and very comfortable. There is lots to do in Davidson and surrounding areas. The pool had sun most of the day which was great.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay! The unit had anything you could possibly need. Was great not having to run to the store to get this or that as they already had everything available. Very clean!

Lisa and David were exceptional hosts. Lisa communicated with me many months prior to my father’s stay and was exceptionally kind. She went as far as to speak with me on the phone. The home was immaculate and the style was current with clean lines, plush pillows and was extremely inviting. The area in which the home is located is safe, quiet and private. Access to town (as my father cannot drive) was perfect walking distance to coffee shop, diner, restaurants, town green, library and the college campus. Perfect stay. Perfect hosts.

I have used James many times now to lodge employees from Minnesota while attending training in the Charlotte area. All aspects of our interactions have been EXCELLENT! My employees request to stay there versus a hotel. The amenities, cleanliness, location, and peacefulness of the lake far out weigh anything a local hotel can offer. He's always the first place we look to book. 100% recommended.

Had an amazing stay at the cottage. Plenty of outdoor activities to take part in, including easy access to the lake! Earl was a great host. He was friendly and responsive, and proactive in his communication. Would recommend to anybody looking to stay at Lake Norman!

This is hands down, the best Airbnb we have stayed in. The amenities were amazing, it was exactly as described, and is a beautiful home. We can’t wait to go back!

We absolutely LOVED this cottage on the lake! The view was beautiful, and the kids caught a lot of fish off of the dock! It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and it had everything we needed. Jack was a great host. Very responsive and hospitable. Already talking about when we can come back!

Stayed here this past weekend and it was amazing. Beautiful house, very clean and cozy. Outside was private with a privacy fence on one side and shrubs on the other. It was quiet at night and with a gated driveway it felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful property! We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. We cooked-out on the grill and were surprised to find the fridge was conveniently already stocked with some basic condiments which made for an easier and less expensive grocery run! Nice kitchen and grill. Plenty of space. Amazing lake with access to kayaks, a paddle board, and lake mat which made for a fun time. Jamie was so sweet and very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!
