The Bear's Den

Enjoy a private home while exploring the western North Carolina beauty. For more, read on. Here's a review left by my most recent guests: Five stars. Mary went above and beyond to accommodate The cabin is adorable with lots of nice touches, and the outdoors areas are simply amazing. The closet kitchen is well supplied . We actually cooked all but two meals during our week-long stay. The bed is very comfortable. I highly recommend "The Bear's Den" for your stay in the Franklin, NC area.

Beautiful Cozy Mountain Retreat

This beautiful space is a large, 1600 sq foot downstairs basement apartment, with a private entrance through the shared garage. It is a quiet peaceful area and is conveniently located nearby unique shopping in Cashiers, as well as beautiful gorgeous hikes, waterfalls. and lakes. An outdoor deck circles the entire length of the apartment and many windows provide a beautiful view of the mountain. At the Wyndham Resort and for $9 per person you may have access to all their amenities for 3 days.

We area a pet friendly rental with a limit of 2 pets per visit but NO pet fee because we have found that pet owners are very considerate of our cute cabin so thank you and enjoy your stay.

Lakefront cabin! Close to town. Come escape to the mtns! Very quiet neighborhood with relaxing lake views. Easy flat drive to cabin. Fish from the dock , enjoy a swim or take one of the 4 kayaks out on the lake . Many waterfalls & hikes nearby. Gorges State Park includes many trails, waterfalls & a beautiful visitor center only 5 miles away. Bring fishing pole for the stocked lake. The stairs fromthe dock from home are downhill.
