Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Gaston

This house is just beautiful and perfect. The bedrooms plus bathrooms are in separate areas of the house. The beds sleep very well! TVs in every room. Great for privacy. Multiple sitting areas all around the house. Beautifully decorated. Kitchen very well equipped. Screened in porch, and open porch with grill! Fire pit surrounded with chairs. And the dock/swimming ladder/clean deep water with kayaks where we spend most of our time was awesome. We were 5 adults and 2 teenagers and LOVE to come again.

The house was great and larger than it seemed in pictures. Kitchen had everything we needed and all drawers were labeled which was very helpful. Beds and baths were clean and nicely decorated. The highlight for us was using the fire pit while watching the sun set over the beautiful lake. Bonus: were there over Christmas and were pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful, lighted tree in the home.

An elegant lady, from a bygone era. The pictures only show glimpses of the space and detailed furnishings. The five of us wanted a comfortable weekend gathering place and we were not disappointed. Spent a lot of time together lounging in the huge living room, reading and breakfasts in the great sunroom, cooking in the well stocked kitchen and playing games in the grand dining room. Quiet walkable town with a friendly gift shop and great antique store. Glad we chose this stay

Amazing people!!! We had a mishap with grandchildren and caused damage. Robert was so kind and understanding and easy to work with to resolve the issue. The house was amazing with even better views. Very clean and well equipped. 10 out of 10 would recommend! Erin Moore

It’s difficult to put into words how incredible our stay was. We had two boys with us (6 & 10) and our 11 year old pup. Mike went above and beyond in accommodating us the entire stay. We would like to return to Mike’s lake house every year and make it a summer tradition while the kids are still young. The boat house/dock area is where we spent the majority of our time. It was huge with plenty of place to relax. The photos simply do not do the space justice. Mike had tubes and floats available for use and a sound system down by the dock. Playing music (at a respectful volume) made our stay so much more enjoyable. The depth off the dock was 10ft, which made diving into the water so much more fun, without having to worry about a mucky lake floor. The kitchen is new, as are the appliances. It does lake a dishwasher, but Mike had everything we needed to clean/dry the dishes before we departed. What a trip! We hope to be back next year if it’s still available.

This area was really cute. The house was very well equipped, lots of additional items that made the stay pleasurable. The house and amenities appear fairly new and in great shape.

This was our second trip to this house. Beautiful location on Lake Gaston. Three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and full kitchen, plus lovely screened in porch overlooking the lake. We really enjoyed our time.

Eduardo, We sincerely enjoyed your beautiful home. It was so peaceful, very relaxing and full of everything that anyone would need. The kitchen was fully stocked and we didn’t want for anything. We home cooked all of our meals and didn’t want to leave the house. The views of the lake are outstanding and so peaceful. Watching the morning steam rising off of the lake was mesmerizing and the sunrising were just as beautiful. Having a morning coffee on the porch watching the fish popping and rippling the water was just like a movie. We really enjoyed your beautifully decorated home. The beds were very comfortable and the ceiling fans made it great to sleep in. We will be back for Thanksgiving in less than a month!! As well as next June and we can’t wait to be back again. Carol’s place is great. Just as pictured. She has done a wonderful job bringing this old home back to life. It is clean and has everything you need. Carol lives right down the road and always willing to help with whatever we need. Highly recommend!

Carlissa’s place was the perfect overnight stay for us on our road trip. The place is very clean with all of the required accommodations. I also made a mistake with the initial check in dates, and Carlissa adjusted our booking within minutes after hearing my inquiry. Super helpful! Highly recommended!

Our stay was a reunion of long time friends (25+ years). It was an amazing weekend in the absolute perfect place. The tranquil setting was perfect for our catching up. The sunroom allowed for the perfect setting for playing games and laughing til our stomachs hurt and view the amazing setting. We will be coming back! Halfway for all parties concerned and a beautiful peaceful setting! What more could we ask for to coordinate our awesome reunion!

Been quite a few spots on Airnb. Catherine and Shawn are truly the best host I have experienced….and not even close. They enjoy sharing their slice of heaven to those who appreciate all it has to offer. Gorgeous property to get out and explore and take it all in .It’s a trip my son and I always look forward to.

This place was wonderful for us. Lots of room and decorated really nice. It was quiet and easy access. Scott couldn't have been more accomodating. Instructions were clear. Things labeled so you were not confused. Guide book of area if needed. Even left a treat for our dog! If, we are in area in future, would stay again. Our stay was awesome. Linda & David Gober

The apartment at 1341 was exactly what I wanted, so that I can eat in, enjoy the comfortable living room with large tv, the strong WiFi never lagged, quiet neighborhood, and good parking.

I absolutely loved my stay. The pictures on the website was a replica of the actual studio apartment. It was clean. It had everything I needed for my stay and more including the iron and extra towels. The bed was comfortable. The decor was nice and appropriate for the size of the room. The outside perimeter was quiet and peaceful. The temperature in the room was great. Not hot and not cold. The next time I come home to South Hill I will definitely stay here if there is a room available.
