Vacation rentals with lake access in Kvam Municipality

We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed this beautiful place. Even though its part of a bigger (beautiful!) house because it is across 2 floors the apartment feels spacious. It's very beautifully decorated and feels cosy and warm. The views across the fjord are incredible and seem to change every time you look out of the window. Aleksander and Johanne were responsive, friendly and helpful. The Thai restaurant opposite is fantastic too. The only thing we missed was a comfy chair or sofa - and slippers for our little girl to wear on the wooden floor whilst she was rushing around at speed (bit slippy/splintery in a couple of places). I'm sure this wouldn't affect adults or older kids though! She LOVED the bath and bathroom! The outdoor deck area is lovely, despite a lot of rain during our stay we made use of it. There's a rowing boat you can borrow and sauna to hire too - we didn't as our daughter a bit young but would be great fun! A great place to stay in a beautiful part of Norway!

We had a lovely stay at this Norwegian farm and bakery. It was the peaceful respite that we needed amidst a couple weeks of international travel. Our teen girls were like children again with the animals and the swings. The fresh pastry and bread from the bakery was exquisite. Ranjeeta and her family were kind and wonderful hosts. The beauty of this place is it is out there- so everything is a bit of a drive. But they are the most beautiful drives we ever took with fjords and charming villages all the way:

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in dem gemütlichen Blockhaus sehr genossen – genau wie auf den Bildern versprochen. Beim Betreten fühlten wir uns sofort wie zu Hause: Alles, was man braucht, ist vorhanden, von der gut ausgestatteten Küche bis zur liebevoll dekorierten Sitzecke mit einer Schale Süssigkeiten auf dem Salontisch. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Obwohl wir erst spät am Abend gebucht haben, erhielten wir umgehend eine Antwort. Am selben Abend planten sie Drohnenaufnahmen vom Haus – und als kleine Entschädigung dafür, dass wir alle Lichter einschalten mussten, überraschten sie uns mit einer Flasche Wein. Bei unserer Ankunft war alles makellos sauber und perfekt hergerichtet. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die Ruhe, Komfort und herzliche Gastgeber suchen!

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Haus am Fjord und sind genauso begeistert wie bei unserem ersten Urlaub hier. Das Haus ist wirklich etwas besonderes. So nah am Wasser kennen wir keine andere Unterkunft. Der Fjord ist jeden Tag anders. Selbst an regnerischen Tagen ist es wunderschön. Gemütliche Wohnzimmer, perfekt ausgestattete Küche und Sauna garantieren perfekten Urlaub auch wenn das Wetter launisch ist. Wir haben viele fische gefangen, im Fjord gebadet, gewandert, Unmengen Beeren gesammelt und SUP gefahren. Vielen Dank für diese schöne Zeit 😁

Das Haus ist sehr modern renoviert und schön und stilvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns dort wohl gefühlt. Das Bett war super bequem, wir haben wunderbar geschlafen. Die Lage am See war super ruhig und perfekt zum abschalten. Uns hat es dort gefallen, allerdings könnte das Haus an der ein oder anderen Stelle etwas Liebe vertragen. Die Kommunikation mit Benjamin war super und er hat schnell auf Rückfragen reagiert.

Trygve was lovely! The house we stayed in was spacious, beautiful, and cozy! The walk around the property was so wonderful and peaceful. Tryge was so kind and friendly to us when he showed us around his family farm. We hope to return soon. Highly recommended visiting!

This place is extraordinary. We felt right at home at Stina’s house and enjoyed the quiet, beautiful surroundings. Its location makes it great to enjoy both outdoor acitivities and Bergen, since it’s easy to reach by car. We absolutely loved it and it was hard to leave.

We had an absolutely awesome time at Espen’s place in Røldal. The cabin was super modern and clean and had everything we needed for an amazing couple of days enjoying the peace and quiet of Roldal. The view from the cabin is amazing from both inside and out, the beds were so comfortable and Espen was a brilliant host. He recommended great things to do in the area and was super responsive to any questions we had. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We would love to come back!

Vi overnattet i to dager og var veldig fornøyde!!!! Vertene er veldig gjestfrie. Da vi, slitne fra veien, kom inn i huset, ble vi møtt med hygge, renslighet, varme og komfort. For det yngste barnet var det til og med en rekke spennende brettspill, som han var veldig fornøyd med. Og utsikten over fjorden fra terrassen er rett og slett fantastisk!!!!! Vi ville virkelig ikke forlate, og hvis mulig kommer vi gjerne tilbake igjen.🤗🤗🤗

Spędziliśmy 5 dni w cichej, malowniczej okolicy, widoki na jezioro o wschodzie i zachodzie słońca, a nawet widok na lodowiec- bezcenne. Mieszkanie było świetnie wyposażone, w kuchni śliczna zastawa i wszystkie potrzebne sprzęty. Ogrzewana podłoga wspaniale działała.

We loved our stay at Johannes’s Bnb! We are American and have nearby relatives in Granvin. Johannes’s home was perfect for our stay. The surroundings are breathtaking and the home was very comfortable. Recommend highly.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Drengstovo sehr genossen und konnten stundenlang vom Balkon oder der Sitzecke auf den Fjord schauen. Anne-Kristine und ihr Mann waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber haben einem Privatsphäre gelassen. In 1,5-4 km Entfernung gibt es kleinere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Ansonsten muss man ca 40 Minuten bis Odda fahren, oder die Fähre nach Kinsarvik nehmen (kostenlos, aber fährt nur selten). Im Umkreis von gut 1,5 Stunden gibt es einige Ausflugsmöglichkeiten.

We had a lovely stay at Miranda's apartment it was beautiful and we had everything we needed. Miranda communicated excellently and we were really comfortable and overall really enjoyed our experience. The projector was a special treat along with the Norwegian snacks that were kindly left for us. Thank you for a special stay.

Everything was just as described, everything went well! The drive up to the house is a little adventure (but absolutely manageable, even with big cars) and really beautiful!

Super verblijf! Heerlijk afgelegen waardoor je echt tot rust komt.

Si vous avez l'occasion de passer vos vacances chez Trude et Bjorn, vous serez des voyageurs très chanceux! Ce sont des hôtes qui mettent tout en œuvre pour que votre séjour soit agréable, ils sont disponibles pour tous les conseils et recommandations que vous sollicitez, prenant plaisir à échanger avec vous avec humour et gentillesse; c'est une très belle rencontre. L'appartement est incroyable, il a tout ce dont vous pouvez avoir besoin, il est d'une propreté irréprochable, il est très joli, accueillant et il a une vue sur le fjord magnifique. Concernant sa localisation, Il y a une petit supermarché à 5 min à pieds qui permet un ravitaillement facile, et via la route de la côte qui est très belle, il y a possibilité de prendre des ferry à proximité (20 min) pour faciliter le passage sur l'autre coté du fjord. Ce sont un séjour et des hôtes que nous n'oublierons pas et nous ne pouvons que recommander chaleureusement leur location dans laquelle nous reviendrons assurément !

Ok: if you're into resting & doing some work at a peaceful location then this is it! Cozy, warm, everything works. (If you're there to have a party, then stay far far away from it - the place is calm and peaceful and doesn't need you turning on your lousy, cheap JBL and howling towards the mountains "how amazing you are for existing" ) Anyhow :D , it's one of the pearls of planet: no tourism - just natural beauty and being. If you haven't had a farm-/summerhouse, you might be a bit "stuck up", how everything isn't entirely spot clean or new, but for humans, it's a sincere, cozy place that has been treated with respect - and you should too ! ;) I'll bring my stingy attitude (because I really enjoyed it and wish it lasted for decades) a bit more down and say: go and have a great time! It's a real experience (especially if you're from a flat land)! :)

Wir haben die Zeit im Haus von Sverre sehr genossen. Es ist ein kleines Cottage dicht am Fjord. Es ist ein altes Haus mit viel Charakter und individueller Einrichtung. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet. Insgesamt hat das Haus viel zu bieten mit Sauna, einem Pizzaofen und Grillgelegenheit. Sverre und Kristin sind gut zu erreichen und hilfreich.

What a fantastic time we have spent in Trude and Andreas’ magnificent house in Haukanes on Huglo! The charming, secluded and well equipped traditional red house and its quiet surroundings are breathtaking with ever changing views, the greens and flowers, the small cottages, the boathouse, the pier, the boat and of course the sea only a few meters away. Despite some fairly rainy days we (two adults and a youngster of 16) enjoyed a lot the cozy house and had plenty to do exploring the island; hiking the Natur/Kulturstien, “climbing” Høgafjellet more than once, and talking to the very friendly and helpful Huglare. Other highlights included ice cream sessions at the Huglabutikken (with a surprisingly good selection of groceries), the multiple ferry trips to Hodnanes and Jektavik and the hiking on Stord (Stovegolvet). Trude and Andreas are fantastic hosts, extremely fast in answering any questions we had and we would warmly recommend to visit their magic place on Huglo.

Kjempe fint gammelt lite hus i landige omgivelser. Ok utstyrt kjøkken, behagelig og nytt bad. Lytt mellom rommene/etasjene. Pen hage og uteplass. Meget rent og pent.

Das Haus ist unglaublich schön und wir hätten gerne mehr Zeit darin verbracht. Und auch die Umgebung ist einfach toll. Johanne und Ingvald sind sehr sympathische Hosts und haben uns gute Tipps für die Umgebung gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
