Woubrugge Logies - Private Chalet in The Green Heart

This cosy, private chalet is perfectly located in The Green Heart of The Netherlands. By car only half an hour or less from Leiden, Amsterdam, Haarlem, The Hague, Delft, Gouda or the beaches. Woubrugge itself is a lovely small town along a characteristic canal that ends up in lake Braassemermeer. Sail, surf, swim, rent a motorboat, explore the beautiful surroundings by biking or hiking or relax in the garden. The chalet is a studio (40m2); comfortable for 2 persons. As the sofa bed can be transformed to a double bed the chalet is also suitable for young families or a group of friends. The chalet has one room (studio: 40m2) with a private bathroom. There is a double bed (size 210 x 160 cm) and a sofabed (size 200 x 140 cm). In the studio you will find a tv, a table with 4 chairs and a completely equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, toaster and a coffee-machine (coffee, tea and Dutch cookies (stroopwafels) are included in the price). A microwave for the guests is in the barn, next to the chalet. In this barn guests may park also their (rental) bikes or a pram. There is enough space for 4 persons, but do realize that you share the same room. The chalet is facing South, so you can enjoy the sun all day. And if you prefer to sit in the shade, you can sit under the large parasol. You will also find a cosy veranda to relax on and a lawn with fruit trees. Guests may use the chairs in front of the house on the riverside quay where you can sit, relax, have a drink and enjoy the spectacle of boats passing by. The chalet offers complete privacy. However, if you have any question or special wishes, we are most of the time in the neighbourhood or we can be reached by telephone. We love to help our guests and have a chat with them, if they like. Woubrugge is a small town half an hour or less from Leiden, Amsterdam, The Hague, and beaches. Follow the canal to The Braassemermeer, a lake which offers sailing, canoeing, and swimming. Bike, hike, and rent a motorboat to explore further afield. If you come by car: there are enough public parkingplaces near to the chalet. (for free). Public transport: Woubrugge can easily be reached by bus from Leiden Central Station. But also from Amsterdam / Schiphol Airport there is a good connection by train/speedbus. Woubrugge is part of several beautiful hiking and biking routes, so for hikers and bikers Woubrugge is a perfect place for a stay over night or for a longer period. - Smoking is not allowed in the chalet! There are games and on request we can prepare boxes with various toys for children aged 2-12. On the riverside quay you find a fine bakery. Apart from buying fresh bread and rolls there, you can have a coffee and pastries on the terrace overlooking the canal. If you don't feel like cooking yourself, you can have a delicious lunch or dinner at restaurant Disgenoten. Also this restaurant has a beautiful terrace on the waterside.

For the second time I came with my girlfriend to spend the nice time on vacation. 10 min by car to the beach or around the corner at the lake, we had a good opportunity to swim and rest. This room made our stay in Leiden the best. You can see the canal from the room, and it's nice to take a walk along the canal. It is a great location because you can get to the center right away. The interior of the room was very nice and relaxing.The facilities are also clean and well equipped. Jeanine is also the best host for us.She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The explanation of the room facilities and surroundings is very polite and kind. I was also soothed by the welcome drink after being tired from traveling. And she gave us a lovely blessing for our wedding. Her dog, Bobbie, is very smart.He never barked even once when she was gone.And he played with us! I am very grateful to Jeanine and Bobbie.I'll visit Leiden again someday and stay in this room!

We spent 3 very pleasant days with friends in Eitan's house. The house is warm, full of life: we felt right at home! The house is very well-equipped, and even a cat is present, while remaining discreet. The charming center of Leiden is a 15/20 minute walk along the Rhine of Leyden. Eitan is very proactive and everything is perfectly organized. We enthusiastically recommend!

I had a very nice stay at Marvin and Henrietta's. The room was small but nice, there was everything necessary and described. The two were very nice, gave good impulses and tips and it was an uncomplicated life in the house. Especially for sleeping and briefly around it, you have everything you need when you come back from excursions and tours. For longer stays in the room, everything is small, but if you don't need much, you can also cope with it.
