I was with two friends at Despina's place. Maria, who lives nearby, welcomed us nicely. The location is great and the views breathtaking. You feel at home very quickly. The surroundings also offer a lot. You do need a car, but you can be in Sougia within 10 minutes and enjoy the small town. Everything in one just great and I think I'll be back!

We really enjoyed staying here. Joanna gave us great local tips and was very friendly. The apartment is really comfortable with a beautiful view of the mountains. About the area: There is a great restaurant in the village where we went multiple times. plus, it's really quick and an easy drive to get from there to the coast . We will definitely stay there again when we come back.

This is the best house we booked on Airbnb. So beautiful, super well equipped, peaceful. Great shower. Fantastic views. Theodosia was great and Michalis, the owner, received us with a big smile, raki and local products. Such a wonderful guy. It's a family run house. They also gave us a farewell gift, typical Cretan food prepared by Michalis mom. Also, a minute away from the house there is a rustic bar on top of the mountain with a view to the ocean called Petroula, named after a donkey which walks freely inside the bar! You can have an ice cold beer and watch the sunset and play with the beautiful dogs and puppies. Totally recommended with eyes closed!

Dear Kallopi, Michail and Dimitra, We had the most wonderful time during our stay! From the warm welcome to the thoughtful surprises — the delicious food and the homemade cake — everything made us feel incredibly special and at home. The house is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, and spotlessly clean. This is my second review after extending my stay at Minos’ place. As I stated in the previous review, my stay at Minos’ place was wonderful.

We stayed for 1 week (4adults and 4 kids) having been to Crete a number of times before. The villa was up in the hills (you need to hire a car to get anywhere and driving on the small lanes is not for the faint hearted) but this gave us the beautiful views over the bay and a lovely sea breeze. The house was immaculate with all the essentials and mod cons including chilled filtered water from the fridge. The ice machine didn’t work so one of the team popped around with a big bag of ice the next day which we used instead. We also experienced a sandstorm (happens about once a year) with Saharan sand being deposited on everything. The cleaners were around the next morning and the pool was cleaned beautifully. The pool itself was heated to a lovely temperature so the kids could enjoy it all day and the hot tub was even warmer so the perfect place to sit and enjoy drinks. We used the outdoor built in barbecue and sat outside for dinners (great views). Karolina was very responsive! Recommend!

We were guests for 12 days and enjoyed our stay very much and we lacked nothing. The complex was very quiet and you could relax well. Most of the time, we were alone by the pool. Dimosthenis was very hospitable and on site every day and therefore always available in person. For excursions, you have to plan a little more time by car, as it is a little more remote. But if you are looking for peace and relaxation, Dimosthenis is the right place for you!

Andreas' place is fantastic. Super nicely decorated, everything tidy and clean, a great garden and the location is just perfect. A great view of the sea and the olive groves. There is absolute peace, we enjoyed our week there very much. Pure relaxation. Thank you very much. Ulrike and Joachim
