Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Kolymvari

We had a lovely time, the place is wonderful and as described. We felt very comfortable. It has a private garden and a terrace with a view for private use. Both were very great. Overall, a great place to stay, we lacked nothing. Communication with Michalis also worked out great. We tried the tips, we were in the tavern near the accommodation several times. We would come back anytime.

We were a family with 2 adults and three kids, loved our stay in at this home in the village. It is very much off the beaten path and slow paced - the drive to it is an adventure (and beautiful). A stay here absolutely requires a car as it is accessed by windy roads through olive tree groves to the top of a mountain. The accommodations are fantastic - spacious, thoughtful, authentic and clean. All the amenities you need, outdoor space to enjoy the mild evenings and incredible star gazing at night. We were welcomed and embraced by village neighbors who have pride in their community and Greek filoxenia- hospitality to visitors. It was a lovely stay all around. Recommend the beautiful drive to nearby Ravdoucha for a tavern dinner. We also adventured on day trips to stunning beaches along the west coast of the island - usually around 1hr drives but worth the experience and scenic views.

This place was perfect! It looks way better than the pictures - very homely. Stacey and Konstantinos are amazing & lovely hosts and made us feel at home instantly. Everything about the apartment was tastefully done and it had everything we needed. It's a very peaceful neighborhood, away from the tourist bustle. With a car, there are plenty of things to do, including a fun buggy ride that took us to a secluded beach with pristine turquoise waters. They had great recommendations for food, places to visit, which we were very happy with. We could've easily spent 2 weeks more here.

we had a wonderful time in this apartment for 17 days in May / June 2025. The area is beautiful, a short distance away you can hike beautifully and in the evening you can look out over the mountains while eating. The apartment is spacious and cozy. The only downside is that there is only one gas burner for cooking. On the other hand, the hostess offers to cook for you (for a small fee) if you want. You should definitely do this because she cooks wonderfully. In addition, she is very caring and does everything to make you happy. Highly recommended!

Super clean, incredibly well-stocked, brilliant peaceful location on the water, thoughtful and responsive host. What more could you ask for? Our family of five had a wonderful time here and would definitely return. A great home with a terrific host!

The pictures don't do the unit justice! Beautiful home with stunning views of the old port. Everything is walkable, and this is a great place to people watch. Lot's of stairs in the multi-level unit so beware. Beds for 6, and they're comfortable! Host is awesome, and very communicative. No parking at the unit but street parking can be had a couple of blocks away. I'd definitely return!

Me and my family had an absolutely beautiful stay here. Katerina and her husband were so friendly and welcoming when we arrived. They gave us lots of advice on the best places to go and were super responsive if we needed anything. Would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere away from the tourist areas.

Everything was great, the apartment was clean and we had everything we needed. The area is full of restaurants and things to do and although it is very animated, the apartment is located on a quiet street. Nasos was great!

Absolutely recommended! We had a very nice week in Kissamos. Chara & Nikos are very friendly and quick in communication. The exceptional apartment with outdoor kitchen on the roof terrace is very clean and well equipped. Very good location to reach Balos, Falassarna, Elafonissi and Chania. Beautiful place and great host

This is more than house. It is a nest. You've got everything, kitchen is great, netflix, air-conditioning, you name it. The place è is quite and you can sleep as a baby. You've got your own parking too! The most powerful thing in the house is the hosts Paula. It was like meeting a family member that you didn't see for years. She was so caring, so kind, lovely. It is hard to describe. Thanks you!

Very nice home and location very nice, walkable to harbor and old town which was very nice! Lots of restaurants! The house was very clean and comfortable and really pretty view of the sea from living room area. The layout was very nice as bathroom on floor of living are and second floor with bedrooms with full bath very nice, lots of room!! My only complaint was, in my opinion, the portrait over master bed was very provocative and also, in my opinion, offensive being a female. Don’t understand why there must be naked pictures of female. This really offended me and can’t understand why??? Laura Rehm

Highly recommend!! We came to Kalyves for some rest and relaxation and our stay at Avra apartments exceeded this expectation. The apartment was very clean, stocked with all the essentials plus some, and the terrace was the perfect place to start every day - we even arrived to some welcome gifts. Stelios was incredibly accommodating and responsive, quickly providing us with additional amenities, such as beach towels. Chania and its surrounding areas were amazing, but this accommodation really made it feel like home away from home. The whole trip was perfect thanks to Stelios’ help! Avra apartments exceeded our expectations in every way! Hope to come back soon!

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

This is really good (because it is difficult to find a parking space on the road nearby) This building is new and has a nice elevator The room is also very clean and cozy. It is fully equipped. There is also complimentary mineral water in the refrigerator. The bathroom has a full-length mirror. The bedroom has a makeup mirror. The hot water is very warm. The bedroom lights are also very bright. I like it here ~ You can hear a little bit of traffic from the bedroom, but it's acceptable. It's just that I'm a light sleeper, so I noticed this. Overall, I highly recommend this place

Our stay in Chania was wonderful. The apartment is very spacious and the outdoor areas are beautiful. Ioanna was very accessible and friendly.

This Airbnb is just like the photos and worth the distance from Old Town (about 0.4 miles). The terrace wraps around the entire flat and has many seating options in sunshine and in shade. It’s surrounded by beautiful, well-cared for plants with a stunning view of the Sea of Crete and of Chania itself. You can take the stairs or there is an elevator. The hostess left some local treats for us as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers! Absolutely top notch! There is also air conditioning if the fresh air is too warm. The hostess was friendly and responsive. This was the best of 4 Airbnb’s we stayed in throughout Europe. The only thing to note is that the electricity is only on when the card is in the holder by the door. So, if you leave with the dryer or dishwasher running or charging devices, they will pause until you return.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful accommodation – everything was exactly as described, if not better! The hot tub on the terrace overlooking the surrounding mountains and the slopes full of olive trees was simply magical. Lemon, orange and grapefruit trees smelled everywhere – a small paradise in the middle of nature. The location is perfect to explore the west of Crete. Elafonissi, Tiny Beach and the impressive lagoon of Balos are easily accessible, and the charming town of Chania with its Venetian houses is also only 30 minutes away. A big highlight was Gabriella – a real Superhost Plus! She is incredibly warm and helpful. Shortly after booking, she contacted us and was always available for questions. You can immediately feel how much she cares about the well-being of her guests. Conclusion: An absolute recommendation! If you are looking for nature, a fantastic environment and warm hospitality, this is the place to be.

We had a great time at Nikos' place. The view is incredible, you want to spend your days on the balcony! The bedding is comfortable, and there is everything available for a very nice stay. Nikos was very welcoming and discreet, he recommended a place to park easily and reach the center of Chania on foot, which was very convenient! In short, we really enjoyed our vacation at this place and recommend it 100%. Thank you Nikos!

The apartment’s large balcony & location at the quiet end of the Venetian Harbour in Chania old town, was perfect for relaxing and exploring the labyrinthine little alleyways of the old town of Chania. I started and ended the day sitting on the balcony, watching sensational sunsets, the quiet chatter of people in the restaurant below and the mooring and unmooring of boats in the harbour! Christina, my main contact, was outstanding in her responsiveness and assistance in ordering a taxi etc. I would definitely stay here again!
