House vacation rentals in Kill Devil Hill

We loved that we were able to walk to the beach and to the bay. Also loved the beach parking pass to give us the option to drive to the beach. We used the beach chairs, boogie boards and bicycles and all of them were fantastic! Very comfortable house, felt right at home there. Perfect house for a family to use. Also very helpful that Target, Publix and tons of restaurants were very close.

The house was exactly what I wanted for my vacation! The water was easily accessible, the kayak on the property was wonderful for the kids and sunsets were amazing! Everything was clean and welcoming.

I spent a weekend at this rental with my husband and 2 kids (5, 3yrs old). It was absolutely better than expected. The home was clean and well stocked. I’ve stayed at many other rentals in OBX through various platforms and this has been my favorite one yet. The house was super clean and nicely updated. The furniture was comfortable and practical. The dining chairs were easily wiped clean which was nice especially traveling with little kids. I wasn’t expecting to use the Colington Harbour amenities, but that ended up being a big hit with the family. It was really nice hitting up the pool in the evening after spending the entire morning at the beach. The kids loved watching the boats come in. The host Dana also was very responsive. If it’s available for our next OBX trip then we will for sure be back!

Great place. For its size and value, it literally has a ton of great features . The theatre room is amazing, especially with having kids. Has a beach volleyball court! The arcade has thousands of games and brought me back 25 years (Pac-Man, Mario, Galaga, Street Fighter, and 1,000’s more). We went when it typically would not be considered swimming weather, however, we had the option to have the pool heated at least a day or so before arriving and it made a huge difference and allowed for my girls and I to swim in early April (and I did jump in the ocean to compare and it was a 25-30 degree difference! Lol). The owner is very quick to respond, has the instructions available prior to arrival, recommendations for food, churches, , and activities. If you don’t mind a 3-5 minute stroll to the beach, it is honestly not that far away. Walmart, Target, Grocery stores, putt putt, dunes, Wings, fishing pier, are very close by. The aquarium was a 20 min drive but was worth it. Fun experience.

This home was wonderful! Beautiful views, sunsets over the memorial, comfortable beds, everything was well stocked, close to everything, big heated pool, and so much more!! We highly recommend this home when visiting the OBX!

Gia’s DuckUtopia was everything we hoped it would be! There was something for everyone in my family. Although Gia provided lots of ideas and tips for the area, we loved just hanging out. The views of the sound were amazing. The pool and hot tub were perfect. My husband and son enjoyed the kayaks. My husband and daughter also enjoyed fishing for crab. Cleaning up with the outdoor shower after the beach was so easy. We loved all the amenities, especially the kitchen gadgets! All we needed to bring was food and towels for the beach. The place was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. We hope to return next year…to finish the ping pong match that got rained out! What a relaxing time! Thanks, Gia!

Absolutely perfect place to vacation, everything from eating out at local restaurants, to walking down local streets, and of course walking down the beach. The house was great, cozy and clean and in a great area. Overall was a fantastic place and definitely worth coming back to.

Great place to stay while enjoying the OBX! The house is pleasantly close to the beach (about a 3-minute drive) and to the main highway. While very close to everything, it is tucked back in a quiet community, so you don't see or hear the road. You can just sit outside and enjoy the weather and the quietness. Inside was great as well. It was clean, and everything that was listed was there. All the little amenities that are nice to see in an Air Bnb were there and readily available (dish soap, washing machine detergent, trash bags, etc). The home was roomy, without feeling giant. It was just me and my wife, but I think a party of four would still feel there was plenty of space. This is a definitely a place that I would stay again when we come back to the Outer banks!

This was our second year staying at the Downwinder and once again it was extremely enjoyable! The oceanfront views from the deck and big windows just can't be beat. This house has a great open concept living with unobstructed views of the ocean from the entire main living space and master bedroom. The house is modern and updated, inside and out. We love the deck walkway right from the house, over the dunes and right down to the beach. The shower and foot rinsing faucet at the end of the walkway is super convenient. Absolutely perfect for our family of four! Falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves is pure serenity. Do yourself a favor and book this home for your next vacation...you won't regret it!

Perfect place for family time! My family plus dog enjoyed our stay very much. The house looks just like the pictures provided, we enjoyed morning breakfast on the back screened in porch and fun filled afternoons kayaking and laying out on the back dock. The house was clean and very well maintained. We enjoyed our stayed so much we will definitely be back.

We had a very pleasant stay. The house was neat and comfortable. The forms of entertainment offered during the stay like surfboards and bikes were a plus. Truly made it feel like a home away from home. Jacuzzi was an incredible experience:) . Ryan is an amazing host. Quick replies and his itinerary book offered great recommendations to accommodate our vacation. I would stay here again next time we visit OBX!!

Absolutely beautiful place. Very walkable and the Wright Brothers Memorial was practically in the back yard.

This was a comfy, quiet, cozy and clean. Close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. It offered great extra amenities like the bikes and extra beach supplies. Easy check in and out process. Danielle was very responsive, available and communicated often.

The spacious beach house was located on a very quiet little street, screen porch was lovely to sip coffee in the morning and relax at night. Outside porch great for sunning and playing cornhole. Very short walk or drive to the beach. House was super clean & had thoughtful artistic touches. Matt was attentive, quick to respond and his knowledge of the area was helpful, even sharing weather updates. He was an incredible host and we are grateful for a fantastic week.

We had a great weekend getaway! It was very clean and quiet. We loved how dog friendly it was and the parking pass for the Avalon Pier made getting to the beach very easy!

Great location and we had a wonderful time. Recommend this spot for a small group. The backyard is nice and private, perfect for our pup to run around. Central location in KDH, close to everything really. Plus the beach is just right there, less than a 5 min walk. The place is very well stocked, even had extra beach chairs and an umbrella, we forgot ours so that was a nice surprise. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking in as well. We’d definitely book this place again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming Airbnb in the Outer Banks, NC, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a beautifully decorated space that perfectly captured the coastal vibe. The attention to detail in the decor made us feel right at home, with soothing colors and unique accents that added to the overall ambiance. One of the highlights of our stay was the location. The property is just a short walk from the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning strolls and sunset views. We loved being able to easily access the sandy shores and enjoy the sound of the waves. The amenities provided were top-notch, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whether it was enjoying our morning coffee on the deck or unwinding in the cozy living area after a day of exploring, every moment was delightful.

This is an amazing place to stay. Such a peaceful and relaxing place to be. Close to everything from the beach, to restaurants and shops. Brian was quick to respond to me and gave some great recommendations while we were there. My family and I highly recommend this beautiful place to stay. We will definitely stay here again when our travels bring us to the OBX.

Family of four had a wonderful week in KDH at Artim’s place! We loved walking to the beach every day, and the hot tub was clean and relaxing! Extremely comfortable beds (we slept very well; there is a busy road nearby, but the noise did not keep us awake). Functional dishwasher and washing machine, a huge plus!
