“The wonderful place with terrific hosts; who are very kind and responsible. The place is very clean, quite and has a small yard where you can relax if the whether allows. The hosts provide a microwave and a refrigerator. However there is no a hair drier and a washing machine. It is also a very important to remember that unlike in the US the electrical voltage is higher: 220. Thus, if your device is not provided with an automatic switch to a higher voltage it can be ruined. You also need a converter for outlets/sockets because they have a different configuration. The bathroom is full of shampoos, conditioners, body washes. The place is located quite close to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv if you have a car. I had a car and didn’t use a public transportation, but I know that there is also a public transportation to Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, but bear in mind that all public transportation is shut down during the Shabbat period. There is a grocery store inside the settlement that selling kosher products. Also it is a very important to remember that neither a Google map nor an Apple map provides directions to this location because they consider it an occupied territory, but you can use Waze but make it sure that all instructions are provided by language you are comfortable with; by default the Waze provides all instructions in Hebrew when you are in Israel. I hope this review will help.”
My place is a quiet 4-bedroom house overlooking the Judean Desert and the Jordan Hills. It is a great spot for any guest travelling from Jerusalem to the North, South or the Dead Sea. We have a cozy patio for relaxing or watching the sunrise. We also have some great restaurants nearby and a number of unique activities in the area (hikes, camels, ATVs, etc.)! Make sure you make plans in advance so that I can help you with bus schedules.
“In the house of Julie in Alon I stayed in my own room sharing bathroom, kitchen and a wonderful place under trees. It is very nice and uncomplicated like coming to the home of a friend. Julie is a great host with extraordinary good cookies. Alon is a nice village settlement on a hill facing the desert, a good place to sleep while on a hike through the Wadi Kelt”
A stylish, charming studio apartment (30 sq. m.) With a huge balcony (70 sq. m.). A gazebo, a beautiful view of the Judean desert, cool mountain air and barbecue. There is free parking available free of charge. By car to the center and to the old town 15 minutes.
“A small and fine accommodation with a huge roof terrace for little cookers. The bed is comfortable, we slept well. The apartment is clean, albeit with small restrictions. Anetta and her husband are very friendly and helpful! They bought for us because of the Shabbat and gave us tram tickets. In 45 minutes you are in the old town, including running. Attention a rental car is recommended as an addition. All in all wine nice place to stay. For cooking there are 2 plates and a grill on the roof terrace.”
