Great spot, Terry and Militsa were very helpful and friendly. Their rental was beautiful and perfect for what my family needed. Plenty of space if you have a larger party. The place was clean and the toddler loved seen and helping to feed the animals! We can’t thank them enough for letting us share their space.

This was our second time staying here and we absolutely love it! Great place to stay with kids and very close to lake!

Vanessa's property on our way to the Death Valley was perfect! It was spacious and exactly as described in the listing. Vanessa herself was a super communicator, always responsive and so caring. We highly recommend her place for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed Airbnb experience on your way to the Death Valley.

Beautiful place with lots of amenities and things to do. We stayed at the Playhouse and it was charming. Loved the water supply. Be prepared for the bees while eating by the benches but we are in the middle of the forest so expected. John was friendly and funny. Worth a visit and would come back here camping!

Our family of four really had a great time at the hungry gulch. The place was so peaceful had everything you could need felt homey and comfy. Our 4 & 6 year loved watching humming birds and squirrels and the stars at night. Dana and Greg were great host, told us great safe spot to play for the kids on the lake. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful location. Easy to get into rooms. Clean and comfortable room, just like the pictures and description. I am familiar with the area so I was able to find it relatively easy, but my in-laws struggled just like Christy had mentioned could be a possibility if you input the address into the GPS as it takes you down a longer route. I’d suggest reading and following the instructions provided to make it easier to locate the home.

The fam and I came to Nolan's place for a quick getaway this last weekend to tour the Carrizo National Monument. House was clean, warm, and provided just the right amount of necessities to make for a very comfortable trip.

We stopped at Christy’s place for one night during our cross country move. The room was exactly as described and the property is lovely! The room next door is also an airbnb but it still felt private and we didn’t hear a peep from our neighbors. The area is peaceful and we felt very comfortable leaving our packed car overnight. We also appreciated the little table outside to enjoy our dinner! Thanks Christy!

I had a wonderful stay! The location was exactly what I was hoping for—quiet, quaint, and just a short, easy drive into town. Amelia was a fantastic host—proactive in her communication, thoughtful in sharing details about the property, and clear about how to access the space. Everything felt easy and welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again (and honestly regret not booking a longer stay!). Highly recommend!

This was the perfect location. It was only 5 min. to the BVS entrance gate. We came into town to celebrate our grandson finishing kindergarten and it was great to be so close! It was easy to find and exactly what the pictures showed. The bed and pillows were perfect.

Exactly what I'd hoped for. We're from a rural area and even though we were visiting Bakersfield ( my home town) we wanted a rural area to stay. This was just a quick drive from town and had all kinds of cool stuff to look at and enjoy. My kids loved the camping feel and the animals, I loved having a comfortable bed and kitchen. The host was so kind and responsive. Would definitely recommend.

As advertised, nice house in a farm setting

We loved staying at Tamar's Barn. The place is beautiful, secluded, the views are gorgeous, the barn has everything you need, we got to pet and feed the piggies and the horse, and Susan, the co-host, was super-friendly and helpful. We absolutely recommend this stay!

I was staying in Bakersfield due to my father being in the hospital. After days of hotels I finally found somewhere I could stay out of the chaos. It was nice to come back to a beautiful farm with a nice pond you could let the days stresses go. Thanks for helping me with the booking Meredith. As a chef I enjoyed sitting back and reading various books about cooking. Highly recommended.

Great bed and super hospitable host. It was intimate and comfortable, I felt if I could have stayed several nights I would now have a great friend. Ilda is very nice and interesting.

We enjoyed a very quiet and peaceful weekend at Anthony’s place. Anthony was very accommodating of our service dogs and provided a lot of excellent local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Anthony’s place has some quirks, but nothing he didn’t prepare us for and nothing that took away from the quality of our stay. The “house within a house” concept was awesome. Coffee and games in the outer shell in the morning was great. We also loved hanging on the balcony and taking in the beautiful view. The area is very quiet and every neighbor we walked by with the dogs was friendly. Definitely recommend Anthony’s place to anyone looking for a zen-like stay, but with all the modern amenities that make our lives easier.

Even though this place looks lovely in the photos, it FAR exceeded our expectations in person. It’s truly a slice of heaven - clean (pristine) & beautifully decorated, in the most glorious natural setting. We will definitely be back & for longer (we didn’t want to leave). Thank you so much. My group had a great time at Mariah’s home. It was well-stocked and more than enough room for six. The area is quite secluded, and perfect for disconnecting from city life. There is no signal coming up the mountain! Mariah kindly gave screenshots of the route in case, but we had the route saved beforehand! The home is cozy and we loved the decor. Thanks again!

Absolutely beautiful place. I now regret not being able to stay there longer because we were just passing through. A little harder to find because we arrived in the dark, but Robert immediately came to help. Robert is very responsive, super helpful, friendly. All I can say is a beautiful listing and a great host!
