Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Kent

A gem of a home if you’re looking for a waterfront property with great lake access. David’s home is well stocked with everything you need - from baking to cooking , from laundry to great choices of board games , a nice library if reading by the water is what you care to do . If you’re a bass fisherman like me , you have direct access to Squantz Pond, which can be a great fishing alternative to nearby Candlewood Lake. The property is close to the main road and traffic can be a nuisance to folks who are not used to it . City folks like me don’t mind it. David was a great host , very responsive . There was a slight miscommunication during check in , but that was taken care of right away . My family hopes to come back again . BTW, for those who don’t know how to play the piano , take some brief lessons before coming and impress your folks. Joe

This beautiful property has a special place in our hearts. We stayed in the A frame during COVID and we always wanted to come back. This time we stayed in the main house and it was phenomenal. Wish the weather was better for us to use the pool, but next time! It well worth the price. Only an hr from the city and it feels like a full vacation. Wonderful way to lose time time for a few days. We will be back!

Juliana and Paul were great hosts! There was a storm the day we arrived and they communicated about the towns power outage before our arrival. They had generators on hand and Paul set up the generator and had many extension cords, flashlights and called local supermarkets/restaurants for us. Luckily the outage was just a few hours. The place was clean and spotless. It was quiet and a short drive into Main Street where you can find restaurants. It is close to many beautiful hikes. We would certainly return as it was a joy to stay in such a peaceful home.

I needed ice, Rachael put three bags in the freezer before I arrived. Very responsive when I asked questions. My only reservation is about the steps from the parking are to the house level. Hard for old people with bad backs. No problem for everyone else. We were in town for my wife's 50th Kent School reservation, my 51st. How the town has changed!

Kellen and Samantha's home and property are very special--a wonderful location for a restful retreat in nature that is also a short drive to several charming towns in northwest Connecticut. The hilltop site offers breathtaking views of surrounding mountains, valleys, and forest. The residence sits atop a long driveway off a gravel road so is serenely quiet and private. Inside, the space was immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and very comfortably furnished. The shower, bed, towels, and linens were all particularly fantastic, as was the full kitchen which allowed us to cook nightly. The area is exceptional for hiking, culinary delights, and all sorts of shops. And our hosts were proactive, helpful, and clear in all of their communications. We really loved staying here, as did our dog, and we hope to return. Highly recommended!

This house was perfect for us (5 friends gathering to fish the Housatonic). Simple, clean, ac/heat/wood-burning stove, all the amenities, and a great hot shower! We were up and down the short path to the river the whole weekend. Amy was a super-host. Attentive when we needed her, but not intrusive. Thanks Amy, we enjoyed our stay!

The apartment was beautiful and exactly as described. It was newly renovated, clean, easy to locate, and in a prime location. We met Graham when we got there. He was outside working on more renovations, and he became a friendly face and helpful resource throughout our stay. The patio was definitely worth it. It was so peaceful and serene to just sit in the hot tub and stare off at the creek and mountains. The less than 10 minute walk to town on the abandoned tracks was so easy, romantic, and fun. This is a great place to stay for couples or families!

Val’s place was incredibly clean and comfortable. We felt right at home and had everything we needed. It was beautiful, inside and outside, and perfect for our family. My 2 year old was cutting teeth all night and I couldn’t have imagined a more comfortable place for us to muddle through outside our home. We even had a family “camp out” in the lovely living room in front of the fireplace. The instructions were perfectly clear with helpful visuals. I would recommend Val’s place to anyone needing to stay in the area or looking for a cozy retreat.

Gracious host, friendly and responded very quickly. The Airbnb itself was pleasant, quite cozy with a pretty backyard/garden area. Would definitely recommend to someone looking to stay in the area

The place was perfect, felt very comfortable there, wish I could have stayed longer but will defiantly go back next time I am in the area. Especially loved watching the birds at the feeder while having my morning coffee !

The Airbnb is on a small hill looking out towards a small pond and an open field. The sunset in particular was very nice. The home is in a very private location. Inside, the space was well decorated - simple yet tasteful. The space itself is on the smaller end but the decor opens up the space. Michael answered all questions within 24-hours. Easy to communicate with. Overall a good stay

The place was beautifully decorated and everything from the plants to the antiques was wonderful to see. This is the perfect place for any stay and they only ask that you respect the possessions. John was very responsive in helping us for a late check in.

We were recently in town to visit family, staying at Traci’s made our visit enjoyable and relaxing. Check-in was easy, the apartment was clean with a comfortable bed and a peaceful view of the brook. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, thank you Traci!

I’ve visited many, many AirBNB’s over the years and Elisabeth and Ricky’s was one of the best. The accommodation is beautiful, it’s a lovely little converted flat above the garage, settled into the woods and garden. We were greeted by their corgi and by Elisabeth who both made us feel at home. We were able to wander their gardens, drink gin and tonics in the sun and generally make ourselves at home. A lovely couple and a highly recommended Airbnb.

Pacers Pasture is on a quiet road giving it a cute country experience in a great small town. The space has an amazing unfenced yard which was great for the dogs. Easy access inside with key entry, and we loved the door entry being toward the back of house for added privacy. The house has very comfortable linens, tons of parking, and the hottest water ever - which was perfect after a cold day adventuring. Aaron provides toiletries, some nice kitchen basics likes spices and teas/coffee, fast wifi-TV streaming, and a cozy space perfect for relaxing. Bonus points for being tastefully decorated and not overly cluttered. Would stay again!

I had a great stay! Super comfortable bed, room had everything I needed, and the AC unit kept my room very comfortable on the 90 degree day! Henry & Jorge were both very kind and easy to be around. If you're looking for a comfy bed in a comfortable space, this is perfect!

Elaine’s place was absolutely perfect for what we needed; which was a comfortable, clean, private space that was close to a show we were seeing at the Mahawaie Theater. Only about a 5 minute drive, which Elaine assured us it was. Space was very private, with own bath which is important to us. Very clean, bed nice and comfy. Had refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, tea pot, as well as coffee and tea !! Plus creamer in fridge. Would def recommend.

Our stay at Callas loft was amazing! Easy to find and check in. Space was clean and just as pretty as the pictures. Bummed it was rainy when we stayed otherwise we would've spent more time on the deck/patio. If we had forgotten anything (hair ties, shampoo, etc.) we would've been covered! Most of all I really loved the personal touch of the note that greeted us when we arrived of treats for myself and my mom and a toy for our pup that we brought with us. Calla was communicative leading up to our stay and during if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Cristina's home was great for our stay! She was extremely helpful even before we checked in, providing clear instructions on where to park and the location of the entrance. She even left out some toys for our son to play with during our time there. It's small space, but what we needed and exactly as described in the listing. We would absolutely stay here again, when we come back to the area!
