This cute little house, located on a quiet street in Asahikawa, has been thoughtfully and tastefully furnished and we were honoured to be its first guests. It fit us 5 comfortably, with 6 beds in 3 bedrooms upstairs, and an open living dining and well-equipped kitchen area downstairs. The toilet and bathroom were separate, making it convenient for our group of 5. The hosts established communications soon after booking - their instructions were detailed and very clear. They even provide concierge services of shopping for breakfast provisions and arranging massages. Check-in was smooth and when we were on-site and even after hours, the friendly hosts were very helpful and fast in responding to our queries. The only thing to note is that the bedrooms have heaters but no aircon as yet but open windows and a standing fan should do the trick on warmer summer days. All in, we enjoyed our one night experience of Japanese tiny-house living and would stay again if ever in Asahikawa.
An aerial view captures a charming villa situated amidst expansive countryside fields. Surrounding the house are vibrant green gardens and neatly arranged agricultural plots. The scenic mountains loom in the background, adding to the tranquil rural landscape.

We had a great stay at the villa during our family trip to furano. The house is beautiful, cosy, very well designed and decorated. We really enjoyed our time there with the amazing view to the mountains. It's got great location near Furano town and skiing resorts. Chie has been a wonderful host, really responsive welcoming and patient showed us around the house. We left our phone on the last day and she very kindly posted it to us as well. Thanks very much and would really recommend to anyone wanting to visit Furano!

Very spacious apartment (there were 4 of us), with a well-stocked kitchen. Very quiet area, but comfortable in Furano. We recommend having your own means of transportation.

The exterior view of a renovated traditional guesthouse is presented against a backdrop of lush green mountains. A red corrugated roof contrasts with the natural surroundings, while the structure's wooden walls blend harmoniously with the landscape. A subtle chimney is visible on the roof.

Hanare-no-Yado, an old house

RyanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place is a gem. It’s a little off the beaten path in Furano (which is just what we wanted), but it’s still walkable to town. It’s all about the details here. From a squishy bathroom floor thats insanely comfortable to the amazing window screens that keep the apartment cool during the day to the beautiful decorative details. It’s warm, rustic and comfortable. And the setting is unlike anywhere I’ve been. Situated among rice paddies and farms with the mountains in the distance. Chefs kiss. It’s clear that Tomo has put a lot of care into building this place. 10/10.

We absolutely loved our stay! The place looks exactly like the photos—beautifully decorated and very cozy. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and details.
