Our cottage is located on the outskirts of the village of Ostrý, which is surrounded by vast pastures and forests of the natural park Jistebnická vrchovina. Previously, there was a farmhouse with only stables and nesting swallows. Around the cottage is a large natural garden that we partially use as an ornate garden. On one side the garden is finished with a pond, a road and a neighboring house, on the other side it passes into an open landscape. A cat lives in the garden and in the house and in the yard of a chicken.

Alice's house fully exceeded our expectations! The large high living area with the open kitchen was perfect. The bedrooms and bathroom with sauna were also very nice. Even a decorated Christmas tree stood in the large living room with the fireplace, which we enjoyed very much in addition to the underfloor heating in the cold season. Outside, we were also able to use the campfire area to cook goulash over the fire. Alice was very nice and had prepared everything very nicely, we didn't lack anything in terms of amenities. We were very satisfied.

128 year old cottage with sleeping on the furnace

The house is an old one but with all the comfort which makes the stay perfect. The rooms are cosy and a delight with the stove and the bed on the top. I did not miss anything and enjoyed the talkes with Jeník. The family are easy going people and I can highly recommend Jeník, his family and the very nice accomodation. The region of South Bohemia is very good for hiking and there are endless hiking paths which are well signed. One can visit some castles, castle ruins and monasteries. The castle in Orlik and the monastery in Milevsko are well known and impressive but these are only two of them. The region and Jeník are waiting for visitors try and enjoy it.

Glamping - Secluded Shepherd's Hut in Nature

Jan's place is very very nice, we enjoyed the time together with our dog there. It is very quiet, you can enjoy the nature and the many lakes. We often made a fire in the evening, used the pizza oven and had breakfast on the terrace. The shepherd's wagon is simple and very cozy, you can cook well and we slept well. Water for the outside shower is available in the village at a source 5 minutes by car. We will be happy to come back!
