Beachfront vacation rentals in José Santos Guardiola

The condo was very nice with great ocean views, being located right on iron shore. Great to watch the ship traffic during morning coffee or evening sun downers. Location is ideal - in a nice peaceful residential neighborhood, but only a 5’ walk to the shops/restaurants/bars of west end. Also, there are some places that are even closer (Stowaway, Paolo’s, Loretta’s). Definitely no need for a car (unless you plan on heading to the east end of the island…). Kitchen is well set up. Highlight for me was the multiple coffee prep methods (moka pot, French press, drip). Awesome to have a good cup of coffee while watching the cruise ships go by in the morning.

Everyone (Miriam, Jon and Victor, to name but a few) taking care of the property and guests are polite, caring and simply wonderful. The cabin has everything a couple or single person needs and is absolutely homey and cozy. The location and proximity to the ocean are excellent, watching the dolphins learn there routines in the morning is very pleasant and the location in Sandy Bay is perfect to explore the West End and West Bay areas, the East towards Mud Hole and its a few minutes walking distance from the Blue Bahia with there own wonderful staff and great on location PADI 5 Star dive centre, The Sandy Bay Divers. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book this same location again. If we go with more people, the House on the other lot belongs to Miss Lucile as well and is a wonderful size for two couple and/or kids. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Roatán.

Husky Hideaway Apartments are a wonderful place to stay!! Caroline was extremely helpful before and during our stay with helping us organize activities and a driver. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay and it was a GREAT location; close enough to walk into town for diving, shopping, and restaurants, but just far enough away that it was very quiet from the “main strip” hustle. We would definitely stay here again! We are not “resort people” and this was perfect and homey and allowed us to really have a comfortable place to come home to after diving and exploring!

Me and my family really enjoyed staying at this exotic, tropical, fun, and beautiful place. The backyard was the ocean, and it was a really nice place to kayak/standup paddle board which they provided. Also in the backyard there is lots of shells and snorkeling opportunities. The rooms have really nice beds and bathrooms and had a homey feeling. The kitchen was really big and fully loaded with every kitchen supply you need. Me and my family would love to stay here again!

This place is the perfect place to understand the local vibe of Roatan.Walk to the boat taxis ..good mix of local and expats in the neighborhood.Provided bicycles if you don’t have a car to get to all amenities within 2 km .We loved the dog that protects the property also .Hes a beautiful boy.Elwin is a very sweet man aiming to please his guests .A local Gem

Very comfortable, we had a balcony that we could people watch on West end road. The kitchen was very modern even tho we didn’t use it. I will definitely stay there again. For the price it was money well spent

Another review said the vibe was better in person and they were 100% correct! The vibes are great The house is really well kept and functional. AC kept the bedroom nice and cool for sleeping. I found opening the porch doors and living room windows with the fans on kept that area at a reasonable temperature. Housekeeping was done every day and lots of towels were provided (no beach towels though). They have shampoo, conditioner, body soap and lotion in the bathroom. The porch was EVERYTHING! I laid in the hammock every night and read. The breeze out there was lovely. One day it stormed all day and it was nice to lay in the hammock reading and listening to the sound of the storm. The location is right in the middle of west end and yet the bedroom is quiet! I always travel with earplugs, in case, but only one night I could slightly hear some bass from a near by club, and even then I didn’t need my ear plugs. The also arranged an airport transfer for $30 each way.

Our stay at this house was simply spectacular. The architecture is stunning, with spacious and comfortable areas perfect for resting and relaxing. Everything was exactly as shown in the photos. A true highlight was the breathtaking ocean view and the privilege of snorkeling right in front of the house—an unforgettable experience. We also want to highlight Giuseppe’s attention and kindness. He was always cheerful, helpful, and extremely responsive to all our questions. He made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. Without a doubt, it was a wonderful experience that we would love to repeat.

This place is incredible! It had everything my family and I were hoping for and more. The house is in a perfect spot with easy ocean access but is high enough up on the hill for amazing views as well. The house was incredibly clean and the amount of helpful amenities (pool, grill, kitchen supplies/utensils, etc.) was great. Carlos - the property’s caretaker - is incredibly friendly and puts a lot of work into keeping the property pristine. He was even kind enough to cut us down some fresh coconuts! We also loved the incredibly sweet dog and cats that call the property’s outdoor space home. We enjoyed having them around. The description is not kidding when they recommend a 4x4 vehicle, the dirt road close to the house has some serious hills that a front-wheel drive car may struggle with. Regardless, this house is absolutely worth the drive out to Roatan’s east end for a more peaceful island adventure. We cannot recommend it enough and will absolutely return!!

Our stay at Casa Caribe was great! The view is absolutely breathtaking. 180°+ view of the ocean. It is truly indescribable. the grounds are beautifully done and well-tended with tons of tropical plants and flowers. It was super easy to kayak out to the mangroves and to the reef for snorkeling which was a wonderful experience! The hospitality is top notch too. Chris was super communicative and gave wonderful suggestions for places to visit. He even made reservations for us to make it easier. Banuel is the caretaker and he is so wonderful. He is there for absolutely anything you need at all and he is truly happy to serve guests. He also has great knowledge of the island and tells great stories! They truly take all the stress out of the vacation by having everything you could want or need. And they are willing to get for you anything they may not have. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was beautiful, restful, relaxing, and fun! If you are going to Roatan, this is the place to stay!

We chose this listing because we wanted a place away from the more tourist traveled areas; a quiet, secluded area on the ocean; to experience the environment and culture of the local population. The listing met all of those expectations. We rented all 3 units for our family of 5. I would recommend at least a small SUV to get around. Units are clean and give a great beach vibe. Kitchens have the basics. Grounds look out over the gorgeous ocean and pool is perfect size. Lots of outdoor seating. One thing to realize about Roatan - most places like this have cisterns for water so you can’t live like you have endless supply. Be conservative. We ran out but they were quick to refill it for us, despite it being dinner time. Location is great for exploring all areas of the island, Stephanie and Pat are great resources for local day trips/things to do. Snorkeling is great right off the dock and the few neighbors are friendly. Very safe area, I ran the road to the house several times alone.

We stayed there for 4 months. The location is safe, comfortable and set for longer stays. It met and exceeded our expectations. The bedding was comfortable and all rooms have fans +screened windows for natural ventilation. The kitchen is well equipped with a rice cooker, coffee maker, air fryer, blender, good cutting knives and more. The wifi is strong and reliable. Bonus the entire compound is solar with water catchment. It was like “tree top living” amongst tropical plants and singing birds. In this setting there is a lovely pool/spa to sooth your muscles a favorite. Our hostess, Ms.Liz is friendly, knowledgeable and happy to share with her guests. The location is a little off the beaten path but if you want to experience nature it is perfect. From the casita you can walk to the “Roatan Farmer’s or to Politilly Bight and for the more intrepid explorer you can also reach Punta Gorda on foot by a dirt road along the ocean. We recommend the place and would rent there again

My husband and I stayed for three nights and it was absolutely amazing! The location was beautiful, quiet, and we felt right at home. Our host was great and we had the most local experience, it was a true local feel, and a nice break from the tourists of the West side. All the guests gathered at night for drinks and dinner, and we met really awesome people. Can’t say enough about this place! Next time we come to Roatan, we will be back here 🤩

Super séjour, tout était parfait! Nous avons adoré la maison, c'était très propre à notre arrivé, bien aménager, matelats très comfortable avec tout ce dont nous pouvions avoir de besoin. Nous avons pu faire du snorkel, du kayak et du paddleboard direcement dans la baie en face de la maison, en plus de profiter de la piscine et des superbes couchés du soleil. Seul point négatif, la route est une peu accidentée comme à plusieurs endroits au Roatan. Un VUS est fortement conseillé si vous louez une voiture et voulez visiter l'est de l'ile... Le trajet avec notre sous compact n'était pas toujours facile. Jeff & Karen ont été super acceuillants. Avant notre arrivé ils nous ont envoyé beaucoup d'information utiles sur les environs, mais aussi pour facilité notre arrivé au Roatan!

This is a semi private residence that is gated and in a very safe community. It is right next to a soccer stadium which was great during my stay as on Saturday nights they had tournament games. The home was great- very clean and everything worked well. The AC worked great as well as the Wi-Fi and 2 provided tv’s. The lagoon upfront is very pretty; it seems to be well-maintained and clean however there are a lot of passing boats for fishing and water taxis so the waves in the swimming area are constant- I loved that actually.

The house is on an island, so that made it unique right away. The island was very clean and the reef was easy to access for scuba diving and snorkeling. Theres only 1 restaurant on the island, but it was in a beautiful location and served delicious food. The house had 2 kayaks which we used daily to explore the area. The boattaxis can get a bit expensive, if you're using them multiple times a day. The location was beautiful, quiet and safe. Theres nothing going on at night, so if you want bars and restaurants, this isn't the place for you. We stayed in West End before Oakridge amd we preferred Oakridge bc of the are being less populated with tourists. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying at the house. The view from the deck never gets old. Francisco was excellent to deal with. He meets you at the house to go over everything there. The house has everything you need for a relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful vacation at Coral Shores. Bob and Mariola are kind and wonderful hosts. Their place has a magnificent view of the Caribbean Sea, and the sound of the waves lapping at the shore was peaceful and calming. It was also very private. We enjoyed staying in the Eastern end of Roatan away from the crowds on the west side of the island. We plan on staying with them again and highly recommend their Villa.

This is a great place to stay if you’re looking for peace and quiet. We spent almost all of our time there either on the pier, on the beach or in the pool, the only other people we saw were the hosts. The scenery is amazing! The water was see through and warm. To do it all over again, we would have taken Mariolas recommendation on a day boat for snorkeling as the kayaking was a little difficult due to high winds, so we did not get to do any real snorkeling, but theres always next time. We brought our own food up with us, because we knew we were well off the beaten path(rent an SUV for this ride) but did stop in to eat at La Sirena and the food and setting were great. For the better part of a week, all we did was rest and recharge, and it was all we wanted! Highly recommend this spot!

La casa es tal y como esta en las fotos, limpia, equipada y en un lugar privilegiado, con acesso a playa a pocos minutos. El lugar perfecto para desconectarse de todo. Solo hay que tomar en cuenta que el camino tiene un pedazo de terraceria, y por la ubicacion recomendio rentar carro y de preferencia uno alto.

My partner and I loved our time at Starfish house. We wanted to get off the beaten path of the more touristy areas of the island and get some privacy. The house is gorgeous. The quality & cleanliness of the home was at a standard found in the US, which is uncommon in Roatan. We enjoyed kayaking through the mangroves & paddleboardng out to snorkel on the reef. We found lots of starfish & conch! Keep in mind: 1)We were under the impression that the beach front/community was private, but it isn't. we arrived to local children climbing on house stuff and trying to come to the top deck while I was sunbathing. The owners took care of this, but locals were still fishing in front of our place & on the dock the entirety of our stay. We adjusted our expectatons & it was fine, but would've been nice to know ahead of time. 2.) Use bug spray. The bugs will get you sooner or later, luckily we've lived in the tropics before so are used to it.

Hubby and I had a delightful vacation! We wanted an opportunity to explore that end of the island and enjoyed this beautiful home to relax and unwind. The views are lovely, especially when relaxing on the balcony and hammock, and the sound of the ocean is peaceful. The house is located in a generally quiet area and has a great vibe. The living spaces are large and airy with fantastic breezes. It is a newly built home and everything was new, including appliances, cookware, silverware, etc. It is beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and comfortable inside and outside. Mira was a fantastic host and responded quickly to communication. Andrew, the property manager, lives downstairs and was helpful when needed but respected our privacy. He is the artist who painted the many amazing murals and took great pride in showing his work. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and we can’t wait to return!

We Completely fell in love with this house. The Pictures do not do justice at all. The views were amazing waking up too. They Provided everything that we needed for a great vacation. They were really friendly and had great Communication from start to finish . The caretaker (Tie tie ) was supper nice , and took care of all our needs , he showed us around on the boat, gave us a history lesson on island . Over all The house is a must if you need to unwind and disconnect . I do recommend a 4wheel drive , since the roads leading up to the house is made of dirt . We also learned that even though they(locals and some stores ) accept US cash ,the US bills can’t be ripped or written on. Thank you for A great vacation !!

READ THE DIRECTIONS! I stupidly didn't and couldn't find it but the instructions are very clear! Wow this place is amazing. what a location! the hosts were great at communicating, the house has everything you need and is Beautiful. highly recommend!
