Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Jefferson County

Lori and her husband were great hosts! We met Rob when he came to work in the yard, and he was very friendly and told us about the river access and fire pit, etc. The house was clean, comfortable, and cozy. Our family of nine fit just fine! We enjoyed the farmhouse decor in the kitchen, and the river view and small beach was lovely! Also, the neighbors were very friendly, helpful, and fun to talk with. It’s a wonderful neighborhood and place to be, and we had a great time there. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

The best stay! She was always on top of any questions I had and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I worked long hours so she even took a package to the UPS store for me. The sweetest woman!

This was our second stay at Robert's place. We love the Ohio River at the back of the house with great views both during the day and at night. The beds are comfy and the house has lots of room to stretch out and enjoy. A must stop whenever we are in Wheeling.

This house is more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Beautifully designed, lovingly restored, and luxuriously comfortable. Every touch felt intentional from the layered textiles to the plush bedding and warm lighting. I enjoyed reading about the history of the home and Wheeling in the welcome book and books inside the cabinet. The home was clean, cozy and fully-stocked with thoughtful amenities. The kids loved finding animals in the decor all around the house. Antique shopping at Center Market and walking along the Ohio river were a couple things we did. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Great home with a ton of amenities! The house was warm and welcoming, clean, and located very close to a number of downtown restaurants. Deb was the perfect host checking in with us both when we arrived and departed. We’d definitely stay here again if we ever found ourselves in WV again! Thanks for a great stay!

This truly truly felt like home. Didn’t even want to be on my phone because of how peaceful it was. Beautiful location and very private. Loved how clean it was when we arrived. Aaron’s so friendly and super communicative! My dog also loved how much space there was to run as well. I’m definitely coming back!

This was a gorgeous home. We had the whole upstairs. Beautifully decorated. Spotless. Cute kitchen, well stocked. Homemade cookies were left for us on the kitchen table! The owners greeted us when we arrived. A wonderful place to stay!

I came up to Cadiz for my step-dad's memorial service. It was a beautiful, yet emotional trip. It was so nice to come back to the room in the evenings, and even more to wake up to the deck over-looking the nature and being greeted with bird song. The room was clean, with all the basics I could need. The weather kept going back and forth from warm to cold because of spring. I was grateful for the extra heater. I would stay here in a heartbeat again. I could hear the other guest a little in the house, but nothing distracting. There are Many steps to get to the room. So if someone is elderly, or has difficulty navigating stairs, this would be the only thing to take into consideration. The family was responsive when I had a challenge with the lock on the door. It was very clean and the bed comfortable. Very sweet room and view. It was the perfect place to stay for me.

We couldn’t be happier with this rental for our long weekend at the lake! We had everything we needed - from kitchen necessities, towels and linens, outdoor chairs, and most importantly - lake access! The kids had an amazing time fishing and swimming (and fell asleep as soon as we were in the car heading home). Great pizza place and an amazing Amish bakery a few minutes away in town. Despite there being some weather setbacks, we had a wonderful weekend and are thankful to the hosts for thinking of everything! We hope to come back soon!

The cabin was so beautiful, and I felt very much at home, Aimee left a special gift for us and was very much appreciated for all she did to help me

I booked this for my bridesmaids and I for the night before my wedding. The cabin is beautiful and so clean. Alissa left us some snacks and toiletries in case we needed something. She was very friendly and always checked in to make sure we were okay. We went for a walk to the lake and the neighbors were all waving and saying hi to us. It was honestly a very friendly area and we felt safe. The cabin had beautiful interior natural sunlight which was great for getting ready photos.

I've been to the property multiple times and it is always getting more beautiful. Michelle is simply the best host you can ask for.

This Airbnb was the perfect peaceful getaway! Tucked in a quiet, remote area, the house was cozy, well-maintained, and surrounded by serene nature. It was a wonderful spot to relax and unwind, with all the comforts of home. Collin was extremely responsive during our stay when we had questions. Highly recommend for anyone seeking tranquility!

This stay was absolutely beautiful- it was so serene to walk around the property, view the lake, and view the cattle often the distance. The amenities, including outdoor grill, fireplace with available wood, outdoor dining, and patio seating made our stay even more special as we enjoyed a delicious meal while enjoying the scenery. My children loved exploring the area, viewing the lake, and running around the property. The beds were cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and very clean. I would highly recommend for a quiet and serene trip for a couple or family.

First AirBNB stay and was very impressed. House was wonderful, everything was clean and the initial message I received from the host was well detailed. The location is very peaceful and just what we were looking for. Would absolutely stay here again in the future if in the area.

This was our third trip out to Jim & Jo Ellen’s property and it didn’t disappoint! So secluded, so beautiful, and so fun. While there’s a ton of hiking and other activities available, we just spent our time by the campfire (bring your own chairs) and soaked in the sights and sounds of nature. While there’s cell service and some limited solar power, plan for an “off grid” stay (which we love). If you don’t have a 4x4 vehicle with relatively high clearance, take them up on their offer to shuttle you in and out. In short, it’s a 5-hour drive from where we live and we wouldn’t have returned twice if it wasn’t awesome. Highly recommended .
