This accommodation is a renovated traditional house. Spend a quiet and relaxing time with the changing of the four seasons. Also open as a cafe during the day. Entire unit rental. Limited to one group. Vegan menu available. Long-term stay discounts for one week or more. 1 hour drive from Kanazawa station. Komatsu Airport is 45 minutes by car. About 2.5 hours by car to Shirakawago, Gifu Prefecture. Gokayama as well. From June to early November, it is easily accessible via the Hakusan White Road. Wi-Fi available (improved since February 2025) Free parking Western-style toilet, sink, washing machine Kitchen and fridge The bath is provided in the accommodation. There is a natural hot spring right next to the inn that can be used, but you will have to pay for it yourself (until 6:30 pm, closed Wednesdays and Thursdays). Meals can be provided for dinner and breakfast using local ingredients. You can also stay without meals. Dinner is 3,500 yen per person and breakfast is 1,200 yen per person. There is a stove and a microwave. You can cook for yourself. It is suitable for long-term stays. This accommodation is suitable for those who love the Japanese countryside and nature. Enjoy a relaxing time just for yourself. Spring to fall is trekking, stream climbing, and mountain climbing. Seasonal nature experiences such as snowshoeing and snow hiking in winter. There are also two ski resorts nearby. The owner is a qualified Neil Reader (nature experience supervisor).

This is one of the most special places to stay in all of Japan. The photos do not reveal just how spacious and special this old home is — and the onsen it is connected to is lovely. It is also a 10 minute walk to all the gems in Takayama. This was the most restful stay of our lives. Hirotosan is very kind and fun to talk to :)

This place was awesome. The house has been restored to feel truly special. Everything is nice and comfortable and just felt like we had everything we needed. Thierno gave us a thorough rundown of everything we needed to know and made us feel welcome. Any follow up questions I had were quickly answered, but generally we didn't need anything because everything was already great. We had our toddler with us and while they didn't have any crib or baby chair, we found the space to be great for her nonetheless. We had 4 adults, which was comfortable, but anymore might start to feel a little cramped. The only downside to this place is that if you plan to walk back from the old town, it's about 5-10 minutes of walking uphill without much shade. This was a little rough, so we figured out it's better to just walk over to the train station and hop in a cab back up instead. Would absolutely recommend staying here and will look at other Iori locations in the future.

Wonderful experience staying at Villa Mitoreya. It's not your usual Airbnb, it's a lot more. The house is amazingly built with beautiful views and Tsuyoshi was an excellent host. He was present to welcome us, he went out of his way to drive us to a nearby restaurant so we didn't have to worry about parking and having a drink. His breakfast were delicious with many small details. It was like having a personal chef at home. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment and watching the local train pass in front of the house. It was like being in a Ghibli movie.

It's an amazing place for longer stays. Our group of 6 (male, 20s) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Compared to other places, what made it stand out to us were the living room, large bathroom and multiple toilets, and combination washer-dryer. Communication during our stay was also excellent and a problem with the microwave was resolved quickly. While the location is great for visiting nearby attractions like Kenrokuen and as a base for driving out of the city, there are better options if you plan to take the train out multiple times. Parking is out front and fit our Toyota Alphard. Our group didn't have any significant complaints.
