It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

Great place to stay overall. Not many tourists around so be prepared to communicate in Italian. The Church tower is right next to the apartment so planning to sleep in is not recommended, first bell strike was at 7am i think.

We were a group of eight and had a great stay at this beautiful villa with a gorgeous garden – perfect for relaxing. The host was super friendly, helpful and always available. The only small downside: the single and sofa beds were unfortunately not quite as comfortable and sagged a little. Still, we really enjoyed our stay!

Accommodation was absolutely sufficient and easy to reach (on foot quite steep uphill but we were already aware of that beforehand). Parking is also possible very close by. Hostess was always quickly accessible and friendly.
