We stayed at Doyoung’s hanok in Bukchon Village for 10 days after two weeks of travel, hoping for a home-like atmosphere where we could cook and reset. While the hanok was beautiful and well-located, the kitchen was missing a few essentials and there were no instructions for how to use appliances—all of which were labeled in Korean. Once we reached out, Doyoung went above and beyond to make things right. He responded incredibly quickly, brought us pastries and flowers to brighten our stay, and even created a neatly designed instruction booklet with photos—impeccably done and completed so fast, we honestly hope he didn’t stay up all night making it! Bukchon Village is a wonderful area—central, walkable, and full of charm. And Doyoung is truly one of the kindest, most responsive hosts we’ve ever had. Despite the initial hiccups, we left feeling incredibly well cared for. Thank you, Doyoung!

On our trip to Seoul, we sought out a traditional Hanok guesthouse, as it’s a rare opportunity for our dog to travel from China to Korea. We feel incredibly fortunate to have stayed in such an exceptional guesthouse! The house and courtyard are designed with exquisite taste, seamlessly blending traditional and modern elements. The space is spotlessly clean, offering utmost comfort, and everything feels just right! The host and property manager are warm, welcoming, and attentive, quickly addressing any concerns. From before our arrival to throughout our stay, they went out of their way to provide thoughtful and caring service. Thank you for making our Seoul trip truly memorable. We wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse to everyone!

Very stylish and clean place, we were two people with a lot of luggage but the apartment was really spacious, at least 4 people would fit there comfortably. Location was great, right by the itaewon main street but even during the weekend we didn’t hear a lot of noise.

I loved my stay here! As a foreigner, I found the instructions very clear. The main entrance is located on a major street, very close to a bus stop/subway stop, so the location is very convenient. It is close to the Bangi Dong Food Alley, Lotte World Mall/Seokcheon Lake Park, and Olympic Park! It was a comfortable stay with multiple amenities to make you feel comfortable. There was a bit of construction across the street in the mornings/afternoons, but overall the area is relatively quiet. I was a bit worried about sorting trash (Korea is very particular about that), but I had lots of help from the host, and nearby uncles! Would love to stay here again!

I chatted with my friends all night in a pleasant environment. I liked that the owner's taste matched ours. Morning tea in a bright living room It was really nice. I was impressed by the incense and water purifier that caught the smell in the moment. If the smell of the bathhouse sewer was a flaw, it was a flaw. It must have been because of the high expectations for a really clean bathroom. It was resolved by turning the fan. I live in Ilsan, but if my friend comes, I will come again. Such a kind and lovely host. Nice clean place just like it was described. 3x bathrooms were very convenient for our family. We have had a wonderful time. Not the most convenient location for commuting but very peaceful and full of clean air..young kids enjoyed country lifestyle. . waking up to crow of the roosters. . playing with the two dogs and watching kittens. . even caught a tree frog (we let it go) .. . Overall good value for money.

The accommodation is really clean, and I liked the curtains, and I rested so comfortably before leaving!!! The bedding and everything was so neat, so it was so nice. It's a place I want to come again next time.👍👍👍

The view is really nice and it's really clean. Like the reviews, it's at the top, so I'm a little worried about parking, but it's not that scary because it's just hard. I had a really good time with my family. I'll have to come with my acquaintances next time.

Great stay! As other reviews stated, the apartment was stocked with lots of amenities. It was very cosy and easy to relax in. Thank you for having us.

The upper floor is a little cold because there is almost no heating, but it doesn't seem to matter unless it's winter. On the contrary, the bedroom on the 1st floor is extremely hot. It's a nice view, so it's nice to take pictures. There were fewer bugs than a house in the mountains. There are a lot of tableware and it's well organized, so I used it well. I think it's because the landlord usually lives in the space, so it was useful because it was equipped with basic seasonings. Two men who were loitering around had minor skirmishes here and there, but the emergency cabinet was well stocked in the living room, so I used it well. Thank you.

I liked it because it seemed like adults were healing, and the kids had so much fun that they didn't even find toys. It was a little difficult to use the hot water, but everything else was so nice. I think I'll definitely consider it again when I go with a lot of people next time.

They were kind and the accommodation was so fun. I went on a family trip and everyone enjoyed it comfortably I slept well. I decided to come again next time. The room was really spacious. There were a lot of fun games.

I’m so glad we chose to stay at KJ and Paul’s place! The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the subway, surrounded by wonderful restaurants and cafes, and perfectly nestled in the heart of Bukchon Hanok Village. Staying here offers a truly unique experience, with Gyeongbokgung Palace and Insadong both nearby for easy exploring. The house itself is peaceful at night, and we slept so well thanks to the comfortable beds and cozy comforters. I really appreciated the little touches, like the filtered hot and cold water, and the overall cleanliness of the space. KJ and Paul went above and beyond with their local recommendations—we didn’t even have time to try them all! The home’s decor is another highlight. KJ clearly has an eye for design, and we loved the quirky, creative touches throughout the house. It made our stay feel extra special and memorable. All in all, this was a wonderful stay and I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable stay in Seoul!😊

The owners are very nice and helpful, luggage can be left before check-in and after check-out, very convenient.The surrounding is a residential area so try to be as quiet as possible in the evening and there is a convenience store just below.It is about an 8-10 minute walk to Hongik Shopping District, so shopping and restaurants are convenient.The environment in the house was as shown in the photos, cleanliness was high, and two bathrooms were great.Overall very satisfied, the only downside was the need for four flights of stairs, but would stay again next time.

Divine was very responsive. We had some cleaning issues when we checked in, but she quickly resolved them. The apartment was spacious and worth the money! We enjoyed our stay and definitely want to come back!

The 2nd floor has a charming view, and the 3rd floor rooftop has a great open view:) The puppy Kongi greets visitors with his own voice. He's not a friend who's biting or rushing, but a friend who steps back to a suitable distance when you open the gate. I tried to calm him down by calling out Kong's name in a gentle voice. If anyone is worried, I can tell you that even my husband, who is afraid of dogs, can pass safely! (The host led us and let us feed the dog snacks, and it was really smart! He's talented, he listens well, and he's gentle!) The accommodation, where I had a small talk with the kind host, was a place where I could leave a lot of memories. Above all, we, a couple who loves the fire, were very impressed with the free barbecue grill and the fire pit. As it was provided for free, I made sure to clean up after use. We wanted to pass on the memories to the next visitors, as well as our good memories. It was a warm place and host that I highly recommend for travelers who love clean, practical, quiet, and open skies and landscapes. (My dog friend, too!) Thanks to you, I had a good rest. Thank you.

Bob’s place is excellent! The apartment is clean, spacious, and well-equipped for a solo traveler like me, with everything I needed: laundry, a full kitchen, a clean bathroom, and a great shower. The view from the 41st floor is stunning, and there's a convenient store, restaurant, and hair salon on the 5th floor. It's a short walk to Cheongnyangni Station, which is great if you're arriving by KTX or Airport Bus 6002, and Subway Line 1 makes it easy to reach major tourist spots. I really appreciated that the area isn’t crowded with tourists but still offers easy access to the city. Bob is a fantastic host, helpful, responsive, and friendly. I highly recommend his place if you’re looking for a comfortable stay away from the tourist crowds but still close to everything. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to provide a larger bath towel in addition to the smaller ones. Other than that, everything was great!
