Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Ilmenau

We spent a few days at the Teddy and Doll Festival in Sonneberg and stayed here because it is nice and quiet. It was the right decision.

There were two of us with our dog for a week in Beatrix's accommodation and we felt super comfortable. At check-in, the family was on site and showed us everything. We were received in a very friendly and warm manner. In the accommodation we lacked nothing, everything was very clean, nicely decorated and the location is beautiful. The only criticism: We would have liked to have been prepared for the fact that 4 goats are right on the property. This took a little nerve the first two days, because our dog is very motivated to hunt and we had to show her first that the goats are not eaten. 😅 But with a lot of management, we were able to let them run freely on the beautiful property. We will definitely return! (:

The cottage is very quietly located on the outskirts of a village and ideal starting point for hiking in the surrounding area. You can hike directly into the mountains from the house. By car, many other interesting destinations in South Thuringia and North Franconia are also quickly accessible. Supermarket and butcher is in the village, discount stores and large supermarkets are a few minutes away by car. The house is a typical Thuringian forest house with small rooms and steep wooden stairs, freshly renovated and very well equipped. The largest room is a games room with lots of toys for the kids. The communication with the host works very well, Marcus responds very quickly and tries to meet any requests. We enjoyed it here. If we are in the area once again we will book the place again.

We used the apartment with two families (2 children and 2 adults each). The sleeping situation was really ideal as we had two large bedrooms and the entire attic. So everyone could sleep in for different lengths of time. The entrance area was really great, just as you would want at home, 8 people can take off their shoes and jackets at the same time. The kitchen equipment was really very good. A second bathroom, at least when used with 8 people, would certainly be the icing on the cake.

Our stay at Chalet Birkenzauber was magical 🫶 The entire accommodation for us was super cozy, well equipped (unlimited 5G Wi-Fi, 4kSmartTv, coffee maker with all kinds of pad hangers etc...) and offers a magnificent view and because we were there over New Year's Eve we had a fantastic fireworks spectacle! The area had many highlights to offer. The museums, picturesque hiking trails and the snow park towards Oberhof with its versatile winter activities such as skiing, biathlon shooting and a fantastic view. Everything necessary like supermarkets with bakery was right nearby We didn't lack anything. Absolutely recommended for anyone looking for recreation and or experiences. Thank you Mandy again for this wonderful break we were able to experience and the little touches that made it even more special! ❤️

Dear Manja, all 4 of us really enjoyed the stay in your beautiful house - from the great location and the breathtaking surroundings to the absolutely extensive amenities with all the loving details and the great hospitality! It was just a perfect week all around with great hikes and wonderful bike rides thanks to your great bikes! Thank you for everything, especially for the super nice and always fast communication - we'd love to come back!

The place was very clean and just right for all the people. Nearby are various restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. If you feel the wanderlust, this is also a good starting point. The huge couch and fireplace invite you to chat and the kitchen is superbly equipped. There are enough beds available even if the climb to the top takes some getting used to. But all in all very cozy and modern. We enjoyed the time together very much and can highly recommend Nicole's place.

We were satisfied with everything, recovered well and the fenced property for our dog was very nice. The only thing missing in the description was that the stairs were very inconvenient for dogs...but not bad, we slept downstairs. The cottage is very modern, for us already much too good😅 maybe you could get new cutlery and the chairs are too low for the table, or the table too high for the chairs. But this is not a criticism, it is just information or a recommendation. Best regards and thank you for the beautiful days in Thuringia.

Great stay with Franziska! The bungalow is really great – perfect for the two of us. The small terrace is pleasant, well located, and the pool is also great. The bungalow was very clean and nicely decorated. Perfect for a getaway. Thanks for everything, we will be happy to come back !

We had a wonderful time in the tiny house, the surroundings were wonderfully quiet and you can really relax well. The hot tub and small sauna are a very big plus, in addition dogs are also welcome, which we liked very much 😊☀️

One of the best accommodations we have ever stayed in, located in the city of Erfurt but in a very calm and relaxing place, we were in the area for work and it was perfect to relax at the end of the day, it has everything you need in the house, Anke, Frank and Kheda are very friendly and good hosts, I really recommend it, thank you

The hut is great for hikes and excursions to reservoirs and many activities. Very quiet and right by the forest to go hiking. .In the cabin there is everything you need. Super fenced for our dogs,which gives extra points;-).

The stay was wonderful, we lacked nothing and we felt very welcome. The pool and the forest just around the corner were the highlight. We will be happy to come back. Thank you!

Had a wonderful stay with nice walks and bike rides. The bungalow has all the amenities you need and a lovely sauna to end the day in!

We felt very comfortable. Frank was friendly and helpful. The apartment complied with the description and was very clean. Right behind the accommodation you can start beautiful walks with the dog. In addition, the butcher across the street is highly recommended. Overall a beautiful place with a great past.

There were two of us with a dog in the apartment and we felt completely comfortable. The apartment is cozy, has many sleeping arrangements and guarantees a quiet, relaxing vacation. I'd come back anytime!

My son and I loved it! The Benno stroller is really something special, especially for children but also an adventure for us adults. The location and nature are also recommended. Wonderfully quiet and idyllic on the edge of the forest with a magnificent view from the bed. The hosts Tine and Fritz were very friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable from the first moment, just like with friends. We also got great excursion destinations. We highly recommend the Benno Wagen, the hosts and the Frankenwald! Glad to come back 😀

Beautiful loft with a wonderful ambiance. Very nice and helpful host. We felt very comfortable and would be very happy to come back for another hiking trip!

Small bungalow with an amazing view. The large terrace is of course the highlight here. There is a large roller blind for shade and part of the terrace is enclosed so you can enjoy the view even in the rain. We thought that was perfect. Otherwise, the bungalow is cozy, everything is clean and there is everything you could ever need. The bungalow is perfect for two people. The communication with the host was also great. We will be happy to come back. Note: there are extra costs for linens, towels, tourist tax and pets.
