Wonderful place to relax in Workum

This lovely apartment, located on the second floor, has a beautiful view over the countryside, is directly on the water and offers plenty of privacy. Through the front door you enter a spacious hall where you walk up the stairs and enter the apartment. Through the hallway you will reach the bedroom with a comfortable double box-spring bed. Opposite the bedroom is the toilet with next to it the spacious bathroom. At the end of the hallway is the spacious cozy living room with kitchen and also two sleeping places.

Wake up to the view of the dining room of a herd of horses that live in freedom, 2 pigs who make their bed every night in front of the window and sometimes a sheep walks by. Closer to the pure things in life. Therefore, there is no WiFi and no TV. However, there is a large table to play games with each other and a lovely sofa to have a glass of wine together. Complete house near to the beach with 6 beds in Scandinavian style (lots of white and wood). Just 75 meters from the beach. Rebuilt in januari 2016. Complete new kitchen and bathroom. The interior is very modern. The house is fully equipped, is very shelterd and offers a lot of privacy. Great terrace in front of the house.

We had rented the space for the annual outing of our painting club. The garden and house were bigger than expected. We were very happy with that. It is a beautiful place within walking distance of the dike. It lent itself very well to a painting weekend. Makkum is a relaxed quiet town. Very satisfied.

There were three of us staying at Bouwe and Julia's for a long weekend. The location of the house is really perfect, very quiet and directly between meadows and water. We could enjoy the sun on the two terraces and directly in the water. It was really one of the best houses we've ever been to. The house really had everything you need, it was very clean and exactly as described. Check-in was flexible and easy and Bouwe is always immediately available for inquiries. We will be happy to come back!

Very highly recommend this cozy accommodation in Friesland! Elisabeth greeted us very warmly and was always easily accessible. The house is quietly located in the countryside, but many beautiful villages and small towns invite you to explore the surrounding area. The beach is also just half an hour away by bike! We had a great time here. Kitchen is well equipped to cook for yourself! Everything great!

We really enjoyed our stay! The Airbnb is beautifully spacious, with great views from the balcony, super quiet and secluded – and yet the nearest town is only 5 minutes away by car. Perfect for really unwinding. The slightly stormy weather also fit the atmosphere perfectly – we found it totally cozy and atmospheric. In summer, it is certainly also fantastic here, but even now the whole thing had its own charm. The apartment was very clean, the kitchen well equipped – everything you need is there. And Thea was super nice and warm as a host. Thanks so much for the nice break!
