Beachfront vacation rentals in Hunts Point

Stone's Throw cottage is like a home away from home for me. I have been visiting annually for a number of years and no place could match it. Joe is the super host of super hosts - he has thought of everything and goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have a truly memorable experience. As always, I arrived to the most thoughtful treats - including fresh eggs, bread, butter, coffee, cookies, a candle, and more - and all of it local, too! I left relaxed, refreshed, and already planning for next year. Thanks, Joe!

Arrived late and only got to spend enough time in the yurt to sleep but hope to be back and enjoy it during daylight hours! It’s in a very rural area right on the seaside. The only downside is that there were two small lights, so next time we’ll be sure to bring head lamps!

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

Lovely place to stay in the middle of nature. Keith was very responsive and flexible for our needs. Cottage was well equipped and just as expected. We had a great stay.

A beautiful place by the ocean. We loved going on morning jogs to the nearby Lunenberg waterfront and cooling off at the beach right outside the garden. The views were right out of a dream. Thomas was very friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this property - 8 family members on a girls weekend! The house was beautiful, better than the pictures. The kitchen/living room/dining room space was ideal for games, cooking and lots of fun. Everything was so clean and ready to use. Kim was super responsive with any questions I had and everything was really smooth. I would stay here again! It's useful to note for prospective guests - there is a 1-bedroom guesthouse directly behind the main house which does lie between the house and the yard/view, so it didn't feel quite as private as I thought it would be. But - we were there on a rainy weekend, so our group and the guesthouse renters stayed inside all weekend and it was like they weren't even there! I would suggest if you are renting this space for outdoor space, it might not suit those needs. Overall a lovely place to stay and we had a fabulous weekend.

Absolutely loved our stay here!! Val was a very helpful and responsive host with great recommendations. We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay in this whimsical airbnb, and really enjoyed being on the water and getting to watch the boats. The wifi is very good here, and the house is really well stocked. We also really appreciated the welcome gift!

We stayed at Shobac Farm with our three-year-old toddler and dog, and it was unforgettable. The property perfectly balances modern luxury with cozy, down-to-earth warmth. It's a hidden gem tucked in a stunning, remote spot. The architecture is breathtaking, and the pool, sauna, hot tubs, beaches, fire pit, and sunken dining area make it even more special. Waking up to ocean views and falling asleep to the sound of waves was magical. The historic schoolhouse is fully equipped with everything you could need to feel at home yet completely relaxed. Nearby coffee shops and stores are welcoming and convenient. As amazing as everything was, nothing beat the two beautiful Highland cows—seeing them was a bucket list moment! Our toddler loved exploring, and we felt completely at ease with both a young child and a dog. We can’t wait to come back—every season, again and again. Thank you, Shobac Farm, for such incredible memories!

The secret beach house was exactly as described and very comfortable. It is surrounded by beautiful beach and peaceful environment. The place has well stocked amenities in the bathroom and kitchen. Courtenay is a very gracious host and was able to accommodate our special request. She was very kind to provide the option of early check and late check out. This airbnb has high quality amenities and furnishings throughout. Courtenay is very friendly and responsive. Watching the ducks run through the yard was a pleasure to watch. They are adorable. Would recommend the place to anyone looking for an amazing guest experience.

We had a fantastic stay in the RV! The space was clean, well-equipped, and surprisingly spacious. The location in Lunenburg was perfect — peaceful, yet just a short drive to town and local attractions. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches and the effort put into making the RV feel cozy and inviting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and relaxing getaway!

Jim is an awesome host, was very communicative and gave clear instructions. The cottage was amazing, had everything we were looking for in a weekend getaway. I highly recommend, especially if your looking to just relax and unwind in nature.

Our family of six adults really enjoyed this beautiful, well-appointed house — particularly the location. This new home has incredible views and we spent considerable time enjoying the wildlife that came into the cove. The hot tub, sauna, croquet set, and kayaks were really special added bonuses of which we took advantage. The house had everything we needed in regard to linens, kitchen items, and entertainment. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location was very private and peaceful — we didn’t see another person save some friendly waves from passing boats. We drove about 25 minutes for a dinner in Shelburne and visited Digby (2 hours away) and Mahone Bay (~1.5 hours away) while we were there, but also — because of the beautiful setting — ended up spending more time at the house than originally intended. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our mother-daughter getaway at Melissa’s space and wouldn’t change anything. The house is beautifully decorated, inviting, and full of personal touches. The beds were comfortable and the views amazing. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking and baking. The road is quiet and the beach close by is lovely, and we enjoyed being just outside the hustle and bustle of Lunenburg. We were just two, but the house could comfortably sleep six, and we hope to be back with the whole family soon!

If i could have afforded a few more nights, i would have gladly stayed the whole week! wow!! I have never seen an airbnb that close from the ocean. Truly a postcard landscape. Brought my mom who was turning 80 and she loved it. Very comfortable and cozy. I will definitely be back!

This house is extraordinary. The history, the decor, the comfort. The best stocked kitchen we have ever seen (plus an additional half kitchen). This may be minor, but they had lots of extras towels, face cloths and toilet paper. And the views - unbelievable! Alan's support as host was impeccable - as friendly and he was efficient. We will definitely return!

Raquel’s place, “Vista Del Mar,” is absolutely gorgeous!! The open concept of the main level allows for guests to dine and intermingle while enjoying the picturesque view of St. Margaret’s Bay. Raquel was quick to respond to messages and was a pleasure to talk to! A short scenic drive to Peggy’s Cove and Halifax. Would definitely recommend this spot to anyone travelling to Nova Scotia. Thank you Raquel for having our group at your place!

The house was amazing. Very remote and quiet. But only 30 minutes to busier locations with shopping, restaurants, etc. Within 10 minutes, RoseBay Bistro & Market and Dear Emma Pizza (incredible!) provide all you need otherwise. The beach is incredible. Sitting in the chairs at the edge of the beach, over the dunes, is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a happy hour cocktail! The house design is like a piece of art - the many levels and nooks make it a very unique experience. It is well furnished with all sorts of things you might want to enjoy your stay. Very thoughtful. We look forward to a return visit.

Gorgeous home in a beautiful location! My family and I loved our stay. The house was very clean, spacious, and well furnished. The view of the water from the deck (and throughout the home) is incredible. It was an added bonus that the home is stocked with fun toys for children. My toddler was in heaven! Simon and Megan are great hosts. They were very easy to communicate with, provided clear instructions, and gave great recommendations for things to do/places to visit in the area. I highly recommend this home and would love to come visit again!

We had a great time at the Point House. The house gave us panoramic views of the cove and pond. Hot tub a plus. Emma was very generous, friendly and welcoming.
