Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Horta

Pictures don’t do Justice to this place, if you’re in Pico look no further, it’s next to a vineyard is a big house with all the facilities including a washing machine and the communication with Robert was very good. It’s a 15 min drive to the main area and is close to the beach and a hiking spot. Would love to come back, the sunsets are mesmerizing.

Charming little house perfect for our family staying for a few days in Faial. Very clean accommodation with the amenities and equipment required to make our stay a pleasant one. We had a car which allowed us to access the different sites to visit or hikes to do (car required in our opinion). Perfect location to be in the front row at sunset on the sea. We would definitely return to Ana's.

Absolutely amazing place for a couple of days of relaxation. The top balcony is great as you can see the sun set and enjoy the sea view while having dinner. Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows and even gives you coffee capsules and a water just in case. 5 stars

We very much enjoyed our stay in this Airbnb above Madelena. It was a great choice to stay on the outskirts. Stunning view from the house: lovely to spend time outside with a book or just watching the sun set over the ocean and island. The house itself is very comfortable and had everything we needed.

We felt incredibly lucky to stumble upon (& get to book) Jorge’s summer family home: there is not a better view of Horta in the entire area! We loved having our mornings & evenings overlooking the gorgeous bay & town. There were many evenings we had dinner at home instead of out because we knew we could not beat that front yard! We never met Jorge, but he was so warm & responsive we felt like we knew him. His recommendations were terrific (do go to Peter’s Sport Cafe- the food is excellent & the Gin & Tonic, per their & Jorge’s recommendation, is so smooth & to die for ((& we aren’t even cocktail people)). The house was great; we only had one minor issue, & Marco & Carla, the caretakers, (who are such kind, wonderful people), handled it perfectly. We loved Faial so much! Definitely hike the volcanoes, & go to O Moro Quijeria for the best cheese in the world (seriously!). We certainly recommend this house to others & plan to rent it again ourselves :)

It was a house where we immediately felt at home. Beautiful ocean views and a beautiful garden. Zilda was very friendly and always available when we had questions. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back.

madalena's apartment is just a few kilometers from Madalena do Pico. This can be an ideal solution if you move by car, unfortunately on foot it would be a little uncomfortable to reach and nearby there are no supermarkets and restaurants. Madalena was very friendly and available at check-in, the apartment is large, very clean and perfectly matches the description. We would come back right away ;)

Great Airbnb with an amazing view to Faial. The house is very cozy with a comfortable bed, very calm and well equipped kitchen. The highlight was the whirlpool and the friendliness of Brigitte and her husband. They helped us with everything and had very good recommendations for the region and also brought us some fresh milk from the farm as we love this. Highly recommendable and we will definitely come back again. :)

Beautiful place to stay on the outskirts of town. Quiet, clean, lived the balcony and view. There are roosters that crow in the mornings, we enjoyed that.

The stay went very well, Andreia's house is small but equipped with all the comforts, great for two people. It is close to the bus stop and Sao Roque, but to visit the island I think a car is essential. We'd love to come back.

Excellent! The house fully matches the photos (live, it even exceeds, such good taste in the decoration!). We were 8 guests - 6 adults and two children; the house has plenty of space and comfort to sleep/rest and to socialize. Beautiful landscape outside! Andreia was very available and attentive! The only drawback of the location is the fact that you can hear cars passing by on the main road, especially in the back room (which can happen even later at night). Overall, a wonderful stay; with a group of 8-10 people, I would come back! :)

The apartment was as described, the hostess always easily accessible and helpful. The apartment is a bit outdated and could be renovated, but it was not described otherwise. Overall, we were very satisfied. Only in the kitchen it was not very hygenic. The location was very quiet, about 20 minutes walk to Madalena

Eunice was an amazing host. She was always responsive, helpful and very kind. We had issues with the lock box and within 10 min she had the matter solved. We would definitely recommend Eunice as a host!

Great stay on Failal! The accommodation has everything you need, it is clean and is nicely located in ‘Varadouro‘; you can even walk to the natural pool by the sea. The host will give you a lot of information and tips and is easily accessible! Recommended!!

nice place to stay, nice new apartment with well-equipped kitchen and good beds. Plus point I also think that there are screens for the windows so that no insects come in and you can sleep with the window open :) (sometimes a little noise from the street of cars but not bad). Good restaurants within walking distance
