We love the pastoral setting of this mid century modern cottage (circa 1962) in a quiet neighborhood. The home has been decorated in period pieces so it’s like stepping back in time, but with the modern conveniences. It is close to Fort Jackson, USC, and Downtown. It has been totally remodeled with new appliances, bathroom and kitchen. we are pet friendly and there is an acre or so to walk the dog, but the yard is not fenced.

Brian was an excellent host. He made me feel at ease upon arrival. My room was perfect, clean and comfortable. I will definitely use his home again as a peaceful stop to rest up while traveling between Ohio and Florida.

Perfect for Ft. Jackson visitors! This place was very nice. It was very comfortable and quiet. I knew it was part of their home, but I was pleased that it was separated/unattached, since my young son is a big fan of loudness. ;) We used street parking, but there were a few other options as well. It was hard to tell from Stephen's map where to park on the lawn, but street parking was adequate, even with our giant pickup truck. The door was a bit tricky, but the instructions were perfect and made it make more sense. Definitely read the pdf Stephen sends prior to your stay. I failed to do that due to general busyness, and it meant that I was going in blind. He really does a great job explaining everything in that document. I asked my kids what their thoughts were. my teenager said it smelled nice and had a comfy mattress and wasn't too hot. my little dude said it was "nice and big" and that his "fort bed" was comfy [pile of blankets under the table] and it was fun.

Deborah and Peter's Airbnb was beautiful! The location, the gorgeous flowers, foliage, yard space and koi pond offered the peace and calm I was looking for during this trip. The interior of the Airbnb offered simple elegance; a place for everything, and everything in it's place. The locations was in a safe, well-maintained established neighborhood and close to restaurants, shopping, and the highway. I could not have located a better Airbnb. Deborah and Peter's Airbnb is a hidden gem! Whenever I visit Columbia, SC their Airbnb is a keeper on my list! Thanks Deborah and Peter for your hospitality! Constance

Jim & Cindy’s place is your home away from home! That’s probably the best way to sum up their place. Aside from the warmth & kindness with which they welcome you, you can see their thoughtfulness in how they’ve equipped their place for any need or eventuality. If there’s anything you need, you’ll find they’ve thought of it: coffee, water, first aid kit, tooth brush, sunscreen, you name it-they’ve thought of it! The living-quarters are spacious, spotless, well-appointed & homey. You can stay here carefree lounging by their pool or strolling through their garden. If you feel thirsty for some Southern hospitality, you’ll feel quenched, here!
