Tranquil forest retreat

We had a lovely stay at Bea’s delightful home in this charming village. The cottage worked really well for us and Bea had designed the home beautifully. It is very much a home and having things like spices and seasonings in the kitchen were an added bonus and made us feel settled in very quickly. There was space in the wardrobes and fridge so that we could store our clothes and food alongside hers. The garden is simply beautiful, with stunning planting, bbq and outdoor dining. We were lucky to have had a break in the weather to be able to enjoy an evening of star gazing and use the bbq Overall a lovely stay.

The Cart Barn

What a brilliant, beautiful barn! It was perfect. A stylishly and sensitively converted barn balancing old and new nestled in the stunning Sussex countryside. I went to focus on work for a few days and the combination of fast/reliable WiFi and countless walks from the front door to clear my head, were a winning combination. Oh, and then throw in some fab local pubs! Will definitely be returning - 5*+++
An inviting living area features a leather armchair positioned near a brick fireplace with a wood burner. The wall is adorned with floral wallpaper, creating a quaint ambiance. A galley kitchen is visible in the background, along with a wooden table and chair set.

Former Game keepers lodge with woodburner

Lee AnneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Enchanting and cosy! I had a lovely stay here, came for 5 nights to do an online course and have time to myself. Loved the decor, warm, cosy lamp light, had everything to cook meals, great woodburner on a couple of chilly nights, very comfy bed and bedding. Beautiful dawn chorus, spotted a deer from the window one day, was lucky to meet Reggae the dog, warm hello from Sally and husband. As others have said, probably not suitable for people with certain disabilities as the loo is tight and the bed is quite a climb (high :), both not a problem for me. Lovely area and Uckfield a short drive away for shopping. I recommend and hope to come again.

‘The Water Snug’ Floating Lake Cabin

JoeRating, 5 stars5 days ago
What a visit! We’ve absolutely loved every minute of our stay with Patrick and Juliette, they have created the most beautiful living space and could not have been more friendly and accommodating. It’s a fantastic spot for either a calm getaway or for if you want to do some exploring, and your hosts have excellent local knowledge that they are happy to share if you need recommendations for the area. We had planned to just relax on the boat for the whole time, but we actually wound up visiting nearby areas (Brighton, the beautiful Sheffield Park, local pubs) before retreating to the boat for the evenings, and we loved this mix. Could not recommend this place enough, it’s been our favourite holiday yet and I’m certain that we’ll be back in future!
