Kai Malolo - Amazing Eco-friendly Oceanfront Home!

AmandaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The view alone is worth the price! Everything was so lush and beautiful! We felt like we were in our very own private resort. We enjoyed the spacious house itself and the outdoor area. The pool was great and the beds were super comfortable! This was a great base to explore the entire Big Island of Hawaii! I would recommend this home to anyone! Just book it already!

Plantation Style Home

TamiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is our 2nd stay with Debra & Mike’s house. It’s a great property with a salt water pool. We were in the pool morning and afternoons. After a long day we enjoyed cooling off in the pool. Beds are very comfortable and there is an outdoor lava rock shower. If exploring the volcano and driving to black sand beach, this is a great location. The house tends to warm up during the day but the pool area is nice place to lounge. Very peaceful place to come home to.

Makuu Palms walk to the OCEAN discounted for 4

CherylRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Our family had a wonderful time at Michelle & Joe's airbnb! The location is perfect. Quiet street with a beautiful yard! the Lanai (porch) was divine! Joe came over and opened some coconuts for us and our boys and then told us all about the plants around the home! The home was super clean and rhe beds were very comfortable! My 12 year old loved the trampoline and the pool! The kitchen was beautiful and I enjoyed cooking there. We even grilled out on the grill by the pool! If we come back, this is definitely where we would stay again!

Japanese Style Pool House

ShaneRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an unforgettable stay at Sina’s beautiful Japanese-style home! The design of the house was stunning—open, peaceful, and incredibly accommodating for our entire family. The kids were in heaven with the spacious yard, spending hours exploring, playing, and splashing in the pool. The location was perfect—peacefully secluded for privacy and relaxation, yet conveniently close to stores and everything we needed. Sina was a fantastic host: extremely responsive, thoughtful, and supported by a wonderful team that ensured our stay was seamless from start to finish. To top it all off, we were lucky enough to witness the volcano's 25th eruption during our stay—an absolutely breathtaking and once-in-a-lifetime experience! We highly recommend this stay and will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Sina, for sharing your amazing home with us!

Cozy unit with A/C

HannahRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We enjoyed the private and peaceful location and it worked out well for our brief stay on that side of the island with a reasonable drive to some areas that were just too far from the west side of the island. The bed was comfortable and we appreciated the AC as my husband gets hot and sweaty at night without it. The frogs were loud at night but the fan helped cover the noise so we appreciated it. We didn't get the chance to meet our hosts but had a great stay overall and would happily stay again in the future.

Orchid Isle Pool Paradise with A/C

CraigRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Absolutely perfect! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow—what a gem of a place! This tropical paradise is everything we hoped for and more. The home is spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and feels both comfortable and luxurious. Our group toured the house in amazement of all the little touches that really added to the experience. Breakfasts on the Lanai were relaxing. We truly wished we could have stayed longer! Chase, our host, was outstanding—he’s incredibly responsive and helpful, and his guidebook was a lifesaver. We followed his advice and headed to The Kea’au Deli to pick up lunch before heading to Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Everything was so delicious, from the coffees and teas to the sandwiches and salads. For dinner, we tried another recommendation - Kaleo’s, just down the road, and again, the food and atmosphere were amazing. Chase and his family clearly know the area inside and out. Staying here is living in paradise—highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing experience!

Beautiful Brand New Hawaiian Beach Home

MaggiRating, 5 stars3 months ago
What a great place! Very easy to get to, spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. Gabriel is a gracious host who really wants to ensure his guests make the MOST of their stay in the Puna district. His recs are spot on, and the home is a great home base for a couple or family (or a group of girls!) exploring the area. The garage is a welcome feature - we all know it rains a lot on the east side of the island but not needing to dodge raindrops while bringing in luggage or groceries or returning after a long day of exploring is really ono. We enjoyed nights on the lanai, breakfast too. A short walk to the cliffs (and one more block over to see a cool sea arch) to see Kanaloa battle Pele each morning is a mana-filled way to start each day. Mahalo nui loa! Until next time…

Sunset Suzy's Volcano Hale One Free night!

ClausRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Stayed two weeks at Suzys little paradise and it was fantastic - from bed to kitchen as described and as expected (we've been there before and it's no secret, we already plan our next stay). Located in a quiet and pleasant residential area (quiet but not lonely), just south of Hilo and on the way to the volcanoes, just perfect for us. Washer and dryer are a huge plus for longer stays. Communication is easy and you get quick answers (if you have any questions at all because the information before arrival covers everything you need, including excursion tips). We love this place and we surely come back even if it's halfway around the world!

BRAND NEW - Nahele - The Garden Suite

MikaylaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here! The house was absolutely wonderful, and just as described! Located close to Hilo, which was very nice. We loved the spacious front porch and yard outside. It was perfect for drinking coffee in the morning. The portable AC unit allowed for a cooler bedroom at night, which was great for us! We’d recommend staying here to any couple looking for a secluded spot on the Big Island!

The Famous Hawaiian Peacock House

AbelRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
This place was cute, cozy & comfy. It felt very welcoming, like we were at a families home (Mahalo). Everything we needed and/or forgot to bring, was at the home. We also loved the heartfelt written note along with a nice treat for the family. That was really thoughtful.

Starry nights on a lava field!

SujalaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
One of the most unique and magical experiential stays I’ve discovered on Airbnb. Place looks better than photos and is more comfortable than expected. Perfect kitchen, utilities and amenities despite being off the grid. Literally on a lava field and also close to the ocean (however, swimming is not accessible, fyi). This home made me feel otherworldly and nurturers my spiritual energy. We had 3 beautiful nights and hope I get to come back. Kaimu farmers market close by on Saturdays is a must to checkout. Volcano national park is an hr drive away but totally worth driving to and from. The other gate entrance to the park is only a mile away to reach by foot (no cars allowed). An incredibly cool experience to wander around in the field. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Hawaii. Highly recommend!

We had an enjoyable stay at the jungle get away. It was very peaceful and beautiful. Liz gave us a number of local places to visit though we did not have the spare time but will if we are ever there again. Liz was very responsive when we had questions and would definitely stay there again.

Airy Jungalow in Kehena Beach Estates

RichardRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Remote (and we like remote), private and quiet setting. Off the grid, but comfortable. Location a bit of a drive, but great for viewing lava and wave action on the beach. Not swimmable though due to recent lava flow. Awesome stay.

Oceanfront Oasis

ChadRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Just book this place! You won’t regret a moment of listening to the waves crashing on the shore or enjoying the coqui frogs singing at night. The view is spectacular, and the home itself had everything we needed or even wanted. It’s truly a peaceful oasis, away from the action, but close enough to enjoy local eateries and shops. The black sand beach was only a 8 minute walk, and we went multiple times a day. The winds can get intense on the deck at times, and it rains some each day. However, we didn’t mind either fleeting inconvenience, since the living room had great views out every window. Still spent a ton of time on the lanai enjoying the ocean sounds and view. From an accessibility perspective, the shower/tub is a huge soaker and might be hard to get in and out of. Otherwise there were minimal stairs to the main level, and the flow of the home is so easy to maneuver. We didn’t use the upstairs bed this stay. We are looking forward to staying here again soon. Mahalo!

Island Living 360 Lush Views

KolletteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This home privately tucked in Kea’au offered so much. Peaceful and tranquil and so spacious. There were so many things to walk and around and see on this property. The fruit trees were my favorite. It felt like I went back in time to my childhood in Hilo. It was very comfortable and it felt like home. Kim is an amazing host. She was so prompt with communication and absolutely sweet. I would definitely stay here again and again! Mahalo Kim!
