Spring Farm Sussex

JaniceRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great long weekend stay here to celebrate a special birthday. The weather was good so the grandchildren made full use of the pool, huge garden and tennis court - as did some of the adults. House was very clean and well equipped. Very peaceful and secluded setting - everyone said they would love to come back again.

Rural vaulted barn with tennis court

First, I’d just like to say, Sue, your host, is a wonderful person and a great host - kind, friendly, practical, and very hospitable. My stay at Marklye Stables was truly a memorable one. Personally, I loved the feeling of having so much private space to myself in such a lovely, picturesque, rural setting. It gave me the necessary sense of freedom to be able to relax completely. There are plenty of walks, directly from the Stables, following good pathways through the local woods and across the meadows. Walking on the South Downs is just a short car drive away. Sue is an ardent rambler herself and familiar with most walks, both near and farther afield. The town of Heathfield is just less than a mile’s walk away along the pathway of the disused railway line. I will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at Castle Cottage. The cottage was clean, generally as described and very homely. We really enjoyed exploring the grounds and found so much to do locally during our stay. We would thoroughly recommend! Thank you Fiona!

‘The Water Snug’ Floating Lake Cabin

JoeRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a visit! We’ve absolutely loved every minute of our stay with Patrick and Juliette, they have created the most beautiful living space and could not have been more friendly and accommodating. It’s a fantastic spot for either a calm getaway or for if you want to do some exploring, and your hosts have excellent local knowledge that they are happy to share if you need recommendations for the area. We had planned to just relax on the boat for the whole time, but we actually wound up visiting nearby areas (Brighton, the beautiful Sheffield Park, local pubs) before retreating to the boat for the evenings, and we loved this mix. Could not recommend this place enough, it’s been our favourite holiday yet and I’m certain that we’ll be back in future!

‘The Orchard House’…in quiet Sussex coutryside.

Welcoming, peaceful, comfortable little house. Beautiful surroundings, inside and out. Lots to catch your eye. Lovely to see deer in the meadow and hear the birds in the morning and evening. Sally-Ann and Sid, her dog were so friendly and brought us s lively breakfast of hot croissants and homemade jam and marmalade for breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Adorable 1 bedroom guest house

JesseRating, 5 stars19 months ago
We had a great stay at Rebecca's place. It was clean and tidy and felt homely aswell. This place has everything you need for a few days break. Rebecca left clear instructions and a list of local attractions. There was books and games for guests to use aswell. The only minor down side was the bed could have been more comfy, but we still had a good nights sleep. We would definitely recommend Rebecca's place overall. 😊
