Great space! The shared kitchen is quite spacious and complete. The hotel is super well located, close to the beach and several good restaurants. Natalia is very helpful and friendly.

We were greeted by David and Penelope upon arrival with a warm welcome. We stayed on the ground level in the 2 bedroom suite with our own kitchenette however we received two wonderful meals per day with request. Our hosts were wonderful, informative, and accommodating arranging for a monkey tour through the Mangroves by boat and informed us of the tortuga release just down the beach from where we were staying so we could take the easy 5 minute walk to watch the release. Oh, speaking of the beach, it was amazing to have such an amazing expanse to walk wash day. We couldn't be more happy with our decision to stay with David and Penelope. Looking forward to our next stay with them.

Wonderful place to stay, cute and clean. Easy walk down a steep hill with stairs to a beach. Bioluminescence night kayak tour was beautiful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. And we really enjoyed watching the Howler monkeys that were hanging around.

This is a wonderful apartment. The huge terrace is a gem, as it offers a nice view. You can lay on the sunbeds and see many birds flying around. Claudine is a nice person, and her breakfasts are delicious. It is a great place to stay if you want to see the Carara National Park and take one of the crocodile tours.

Idyllic surroundings - gorgeous and accessible. This place was exactly our pace. Breakfast was lovely and the pool was clean and perfect. The beach access is directly off the lawn and it’s breathtaking, especially at sunset. You share a bathroom with shower with one other room.

Great stay just a few minute walk from the beach and shops. there were also a few monkeys hanging out in the trees next to the room. Carlos was super friendly and helpful with any questions. recommend to stay here if coming to Montezuma!

This place is a great find and an amazing location for the park, we loved seeing the wildlife in the garden and relaxing by the pool too. The staff were really friendly and helpful with parking and the bags. The breakfast was delicious and generous. Overall, this was great value and I would recommend.

Great house, short walk to town, nice rooms and everything’s really accessible. Pool warms up nicely with the weather and the slide is bit bigger then you think. Great place to stay

I can’t say enough good things about El Refugio! I stayed for 4 nights, and it was truly a wonderful experience. My room was cozy but straightforward, with a lovely view of the pool. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the coffee was so good that I even brought some back home with me to the States. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the host, Agustin, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He was attentive, always available to answer our questions, and provided us with great local recommendations. When we arrived, Agustin shared a detailed map with suggestions for restaurants, bars, and things to do in the area. He also offered help with booking excursions, including a beach tour we were interested in that was a bit farther out. Throughout our stay, he kept us updated on local events, which made our trip even more enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend El Refugio to anyone visiting the area, and I would definit

We had the best time staying at Calypso. The host Nico was friendly and personable, and we felt right at home. It was the perfect location being in walking distance to everything in the area that you would want to see. It was clean and a beautifully unique property. We look forward to returning at some point in the future.

Anna and Michael were phenomenal hosts and so welcoming! We are so happy we started our trip with them. They provided great tips about traveling around Costa Rica and we learned so much. Francisco is a great host. You hardly notice him, but he's always there and responsive when you need him. He always has time for recommendations. The room corresponds to the description and the location on the beach is great. At breakfast you have different choices. Contact with other guests is available.

The place is amazing, is a resort next to the beach with a private road to it. The staff is GREAT, the common areas are awesome, and is relatively close to the things you can do in Manuel Antonio, I would say that if you are looking for a nature retreat PLEASE BOOK THIS HOTEL, is surrounded by beautiful fauna and the views are just great. Only thing is that the host doesn't respond or give indications to get to the place I guided myself thanks to a comment that said the name "Shana by the beach" you can just google it and the gps will take you there.

My time at Joes place was enjoyable, the place is cozy and the people taking care of the place are lovely. Beach, cafes and great restaurants are all within few minutes walking. I would recommend!

Damiano and his wife were great hosts! Friendly, welcoming, open and kind. We were truly blessed to stay there. Beautiful Airbnb and local to great attractions like Tamarindo. The room was great, clean and spacious. So glad we picked this location and will book again if we are in the area. Highly recommended!!!

Everything was great during our stay. The location is perfect, near the beach, supermarket and restaurants. The room has everything you will probably need, also the shared kitchen is well equiped. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast was definitely the best part of our stay.

I loved, the place, the hosts, the dog, the peace. Felt right like family. I would definitely go back there another time when the occasion come. Absolutely nothing bad to about this experience.

During our staying Costa Rica, we stayed at five different places. This was my absolute favorite! It was private, clean, very peaceful. Elmer and Kyna were available for anything we needed, or suggestions on things to do in the area. Avellanas was also one of my favorite beaches, beautiful waves, and perfect for surf! There was just the right amount to do in the town. Nothing too hectic, but choices of restaurants and places to shop within walking distance of our place. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and recommend it to anyone!

Amazing place in a beautiful area - spectacular views all around. Plenty of shops nearby. Easy bus to San Ramon. Room feels very private, is sort of on the back of the house but still has nice mountain view, has it's own entrance up some stairs. Kitchen is very nice and nice views too. Great place to get away from the city and relax - very peaceful.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of spectacular. It's perfectly situated right on a stunning beach, with incredible amenities that made our experience even more enjoyable. A delicious breakfast is included each morning, and beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas are readily available for guests. My husband and I especially loved relaxing on the spacious patio, taking in the breathtaking ocean views and lush surroundings. The location felt like a serene escape, yet it’s conveniently close to a wide variety of restaurants and just a short drive from Manuel Antonio National Park. We were even lucky enough to spot sloths, white-faced capuchins, and toucans right on the beach! The onsite staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I really liked the place, the people who take care of you are very friendly and warm welcome. The restaurant is delicious, everything they prepare is seen to do with love and the food is very traditional. The room is nice, it has enough blankets and has a super cute balcony that overlooks a garden.

Sweet family, awesome breakfast, very good communication, helpful and assertive, cutest dog, beautiful view, quiet area. It’s perfect for one person to retreat, if you don’t need fast wifi. You get hot food and basic groceries at the village. Busses are running to Atenas. Gabriel will help you with anything you need, they all speak very good English and like to chat.
