We have had a wonderful stay at Carol's house. I have nothing but good things to say, the house and the garden are so charming, with everything you may need, the rooms are spacious, with very comfortable beds; the outdoor veranda is coosy and the staff does a great job. Carol has been in touch with us all the time and has given to us very good recommendations. We will be back soon!

everything i hoped for and more! Elle was so responsive and sweet. Bummed i didn’t have enough space in my luggage for coffee. Kingston and Bali kept me company all day and made me feel so safe. Thank you Elle!!!

Another magical weekend at the Cowshed. We loved every minute in this beautiful place, which had been updated since we stayed there a few years ago. We appreciated all the new improvements in an already lovely space. The Cowshed comfortably accommodates 6 people, so it was great for our family of four. We spent hours on the porch at all times of day, and enjoyed the nightly fire built for us. One of our favorite spots in Kenya!

Great host, great house, great staff, great stay! We’ve visited Watamu many times over the years and found our stay at Dragonfly Cottage one of the most copacetic. Pete’s a great host - always responsive, very accommodating. The cottage was lovely - a great use of space - well designed, stylish, and comfortable. Both bedrooms and the common room open up onto the covered veranda leading to the pool and tranquil garden. The cottages are well-located near a quiet section of the beach - which is reached down a shaded path - and a walkable distance to both the center of town and Mida Creek. Doris and the rest of the staff were very welcoming - each making a point of introducing themselves - and helpful, without being underfoot. Dragonfly’s a lovely place to stay!

Beautiful and clean accommodation. Victoria was prompt with her communication throughout our stay. We stayed 3D2N with our family who visited from Singapore as well as two young kids 1 month old and 3 years and we had a good time relaxing. masseuse and chef recommended by Victoria were very good too. It Would be even better if there is a toddler friendly playground to keep the little ones entertained. We can’t wait to be back and stay at the newer house!

We had a great stay! The accommodation is a short walk to the beach, perfect for really disconnecting. Everything is designed to make you feel good and rest, not forgetting the daily cleaning. Iminza’s place is perfect for a short stay. It’s not the biggest place but has everything one would need before settling down in a new city. Iminza is also a great host, always responsive and quick. Would recommend the stay.

Great place to stay! It was exactly as pictured and described. They host was super responsive and accommodating. We had a cancelled flight and they let us move to the other unit so we didn’t have to scramble to find another spot for the day.

We were a family of four with two children ages 9 and 7 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in watamu. My children didn’t want to leave the pool and it was so convenient that it was right outside the veranda. The location is perfect. Right on the beach but so close to walking to lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. you can walk down the beach to hire a boat for a ride to snorkel and dolphin watch, you can walk out to the islands at low tide. We hired Joffit, a local chef at Federica’s recommendation , to prepare breakfast and lunches and do shopping. Would highly recommend to anyone else. It made the stay very relaxing. The flat was perfect for our family. Extremely clean, spacious and we appreciated the minimalist decor. We didn’t notice any loud noise like other reviewers mentioned. We could hear the waves at night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Watamu.

A beautiful oasis, I especially loved my mornings drinking coffee while overlooking the pristine garden. The apartment is beautifully decorated. I loved the charm of the building. Super comfy bed.

Lovely quite place to escape the busy city but still close enough that you have everything you need.

Such a beautiful place to spend a few days discovering Lamu. The rooms are very comfortable, and the views are incredible. Great rooftop too, even for sleeping outside in nice weather. Awham is a great host too, very kind and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed at all times.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home — spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped. The bedrooms were cool and comfortable thanks to the air conditioning and fans, making nights by the beach relaxing and restful. The housekeeper Sylvia and the chef truly made our stay unforgettable. Their warmth and attention to detail made the house feel like home, and by the end of the trip, they genuinely felt like part of the family. The house has everything you need, including beach towels for both the semi-private pool and the beach, which is just a few steps away. Getting around was easy — we hopped on a tuk-tuk to explore the town and visit places like Stiltz, where we even got to feed bush babies! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily return in a heartbeat.

The check In proces was soo smooth i was extremely impressed. Loved all the thoughtful touches around the house, everything was just perfect. The place was warm, super clean, and so peaceful—I really appreciated the quiet. Plus, the location was a huge win for me—close to everywhere I needed to be. Honestly, such a great stay ohhh and the fact the host is such a sweet yet professional soul explains why she is THE super host😊

This was a wonderful place to stay in Nairobi. The walk-in showers were excellent and the beds very comfortable. It was very easy to get around town using Ubers. It was also very close to YaYa Center, which had excellent cafes and an assortment of groceries. Our hosts were excellent to work with. We definitely recommend staying at their place. We will stay here again next time we’re in Nairobi. Their place is on the 14th floor of a new condo and has a great deck for viewing the sunsets.

Staying at Lydia’s place was an absolute delight! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and kindness. She was physically present when I checked in , ensuring that the cleaner and handymen were on top of their duties. The space was beautifully decorated, clean, and had all the amenities I needed to feel at home. The light in the apartment is phenomenal. When I had a challenge with the washing machine, Lydia went above and beyond to ensure that it was sorted within a short time. The shower is amazing!!!!! The attention to detail in every aspect of the home made my trip unforgettable. I highly recommend her place and hope to stay here again.

We had an excellent and restful stay at Claudio's! The photos do not do this listing justice - it is a very beautiful and thoughtfully designed space. The surrounding environment is very tranquil and just what we needed for our trip to Malinidi. The hospitalily of Henry is unmatched and he made checking in and checking out very seamless. I highlighly recommend Claudio's place. We will be visiting again!
