Very authentic place. Should be mentioned that it has washing machine and dryer. Hot tube with excellent view.

My husband and I stayed for four nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We saw a few deer (male and female) and couple of chipmunks while at the cabin. Perfect for a staying in if you need a retreat from the city but also a great place to come "home" to after a day of exploring. There are plenty of hikes and parks to visit within an hours drive. We hope to come back someday!

My partner and I stayed here in June 2025 and we really enjoyed our stay. The house is very comfortable. There is a movie room, we ended up watching two movies. There is also a hot tub, which was perfect, as we had rainy weather. There are many hikes nearby. The main grocery store in town sells yummy apricots. Definitely recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our time at the Pine Ridge retreat. The instructions provided were perfect and the property is every bit as private and beautiful as advertised. Stephanie is a super awesome host and provided great instructions on how to get and into the property. We loved it so much we barely left since there is so much to do between the entertainment, large and well stocked kitchen and BBQ for cooking, the hot tub, fire pit and games. We had a perfect weekend right next to Lake Cushman.

We had a wonderful stay—truly a home away from home! The backyard with the hot tub and fire pit was a dream, especially for s’mores under the stars. The house was beautifully decorated, the kitchen fully stocked, and the private lake park access was such a bonus. The photos on the listing do not justice to the beauty of the property. Big thanks to our host for a relaxing, memorable getaway!

We stayed earlier in the week (Mon-Thur), and it was the perfect amount of time and not crowded. Very cute place that felt safe. Heads up on the sleeping situation; the pillow and beds are rock hard and you can hear anyone outside clearly.

We had a wonderful time staying at Hiker’s Retreat! The kitchen was especially well stocked, which made cooking meals very convenient. The house was also super organized, so it was easy to find everything. It was close to lots of hikes, Lake Cushman, and Hoodsport. We enjoyed using the hot tub after a long day of hiking. We would definitely stay here again!

From the moment I completed the booking, I had a feeling the experience was going to be exceptional and I was right. Right after booking, I received a welcome packet filled with everything we needed. A detailed guide of the cabin, local attractions, dining recommendations, and more. This thoughtful touch set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable stay. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and perfectly equipped for a relaxing family getaway. Upon arrival, we did encounter a small issue, but Michelle and Collin stepped in immediately and resolved it with incredible professionalism. Their prompt response and genuine care truly set this experience apart, their level of service was unmatched. This cabin, Michelle and Collin absolutely deserve a 5-star rating. We can’t wait to return for another stay and make even more memories. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful stay at Deepa’s cabin! The space was incredibly clean and felt so private and tucked away. :) It was the perfect peaceful retreat. The kitchen was a great size and had everything we needed, and we especially loved the grill (bonus points for the propane being ready to go!). The location was close to the beach, which made it easy to explore during the day, and we spent our evenings enjoying the cozy bonfire pit and roasting s’mores. Such a fun touch! Deepa truly went above and beyond as a host. She was so kind and responsive, which made everything feel even more welcoming. There were thoughtful little details everywhere—from extra cozy blankets to a fun collection of cups that gave the cabin so much character. We made everlasting memories here and can’t wait to come back!

My husband found this rental about six months ago while watching the Salish Sasquatch on YouTube. He showed me the listing and I kept it in the back of my mind as his 50th birthday was coming up and it looked like a fun place for the family celebration. Our stay at this vacation rental was nothing short of amazing! Though remote and completely off-grid, the home was stocked with everything we could possibly need—and more. It’s clear that an extraordinary amount of care and thought has gone into making this space not only functional, but comfortable (even luxurious!), and most of all memorable. The attention to detail and thoughtful touches are what truly set this rental apart, beginning with the warm in-person welcome. The setting is peaceful, private, and the view stunning. The outdoor spaces were perfect for morning coffee, evening drinks, games, and fires under the stars. We absolutely loved it and cant wait to share the experience of this stay with others.

We we're looking to get away into some nature and out of the day-to-day grind. Shannon's place was perfect. Esp loved having my morning coffee outside on the wrap around deck that made you feel like you were in the treetops so you could listen and watch the birds. The fire pit was fun for s'mores and relaxing. The kitchen cabinets and drawers were labeled nicely to help navigate while finding things you might need. The house was spotless, clutter free while still having creature comforts to relax. Lake Cushman was close enough to have day hikes to enjoy more nature. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Such a great spot! Perfect location among Hood Canal fun, Olympic nat forest hikes, and access to Lakes Cushman and Kokanee for fishing and paddling. Well decorated, clean, cozy space. Super clean with a well appointed kitchen. Adults loved it, kiddo loved it, doggo loved it. Dana was a fantastic host. Highly recommend!!

Beautiful and peaceful stay! Arrived at 3:50pm (4pm check in/3pm early check in) and was given cottage number, but it hadn’t been cleaned yet. Owner responded immediately with a new cottage and it was great. Views were great! Super quiet! Private beach! Fantastic! Slow draining tub was our only complaint, but owners noted it for maintenance when we mentioned it at check out. I would absolutely recommend and stay again.

This was a beautiful romantic getaway! Very private looking and welcoming. The fire place made it super cozy. The host was incredibly responsive and left clear instructions. She was even nice enough to put the porch light on since we were arriving late.

I had a great time and the walking distance from everything is perfect. This place is nearly smack dab in the middle of town so you can walk everywhere if you wanted.

Unique and comfortable!

Stayed here for a few days and our stay was great. I would suggest this place to anyone, has plenty of space and amenities. Included in the rental is a pass to one of the 7 private parks surrounding the lakes which have bathrooms, kids playgrounds, protected water areas. Close to many hikes, campgrounds and public parks as well. There are not a lot of amenities around, closest grocery store is about 15 minutes away, same with coffee, gasoline etc... Had zero cell service in the entire area with T-Mobile or Verizon. Community itself is very private and quiet. We did not get a chance to use the firepit because of the burn ban but would have loved to spend some time outside as well.

The beach is right next to you, you can hear the waves. Be prepared for wind. Town is easily walkable. Pet friendly, we had our 2 dogs with us. Plenty of room for us, it was cozy. We loved it and would stay again.

What a lovely place. It had everything we were looking for. The place was decorated tastefully and the kitchen had quality everything to cook our meals with. I slept very peacefully with a bed that was so comfortable. Thank you for such a great place to stay in while we explored the beautiful surroundings of the area.
