In the neighboring village of Salzhemmendorf, the Ith-Sole-Therme, a wellness bath with a large sauna area, is located. There are a variety of shopping opportunities for everyday necessities, several doctors and pharmacies, a hairdresser, a gas station, an indoor swimming pool and a riding facility. There is also a baker directly in Hemmendorf.

The train station is about 5 minutes away, bus stops can be reached in 2 + 4 minutes. The park on the ponds is just opposite.
