Need a place to unwind from busy city life? Look no further! This quaint cabin outside of San Saba sits on the Colorado River in a natural setting, and is a great place for fishing, kayaking, campfires & star-gazing. Enjoy daytrips to the surrounding Hill Country attractions. Visit San Saba's famous pecan shops & San Saba River Golf Course, Lampasas dining & sulphur springs pool, or Colorado Bend State Park (fishing, hiking, biking, caverns, Gorman Falls, & the white bass run Jan-April).
“Lovely secluded place, clean and all the amenities you need. Each room has separate min-split AC systems, so everyone can customize their sleeping temp! Good Wifi - no cable/satellite, but could probably use your own Roku/streaming device (we didn't try). DVD's and games available, as well. Easy access to the river and nice mowed area to walk around the property. Can drive close to the river for those that cannot walk very good. Less than 10 minutes to San Saba.”

“We enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful stay in this large house. It is conveniently located on the major thoroughfare of town, and the traffic was low later in the evening. The neighborhood behind the house was fun to walk. We also walked to the grocery and the taco house across the street for a delicious breakfast. The furnishings, including the bed, are very comfortable. We had everything we needed here.”
We have two houses on our property available for your relaxation pleasure--this is the larger of the two. The Lazy J's Ranch is south of Goldthwaite, TX. It is a quiet place, remote, and is located in a compound occupied by the owners. The compound is cozy and comfortable. We are a wildlife designated property so we encourage birding and watching the wildlife (deer, rabbits, skunks, armadillos, and the occasional snake). We are at the very end of the road so hang in there, you'll find us!
“The pictures do not do this stay justice...it would be impossible to capture the experience, which is what this was—it’s not just another “stay.” If you’re looking for a true “off the beaten path” experience that mixes antique charm, modern amenities, and nature (bird watching, clear sky for star viewing, a beautiful garden), then this is the place. You’re also within driving distance to Enchanted Rock and Colorado Bend. After a day there, this is a good place to relax.”
