Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Golden Bay / Mohua

Ligar Bay is a fantastic spot, the changing tides provide so much diversity and interest - we kayaked, paddle boarded, walked and swam in the bay and at surrounding beaches and tracks. The house itself is very clean, with beautiful outlook and the garden is lovely. Furnishings and linen are very stylish and beds were comfortable. We found the lack of curtains/blinds a little challenging - there’s a skylight without a blind directly above master bed, one bedroom has no blind and the other had sheers, which provide privacy but no light. We love our sleep in holiday! We also missed having a dishwasher - some wouldn’t care. We appreciated all the pantry staples, great indoor and outdoor showers and water toys available for guests to use. A stunning place!

This is a fabulous, quiet location (but close to shops etc) for anyone wanting to visit Motueka or the lovely surrounding area. The property has heaps of added extras - we really appreciated having a fully functioning, well-appointed kitchen - plenty of lovely crockery, glasses, decent sized mugs!, pots, pans, mixing and serving bowls, utensils etc. Comfortable beds, lovely dining space plus relaxing lounge. The heat pump plus fire place were a real bonus as it was freezing cold outside during our visit. We are keen to stay again.

This is a cute place with everything you need for a easy and comfy stay. It feels homely and has interesting colourful artwork, vintage furniture and ornaments that are thoughtfully placed. Good shower and full kitchen with the full compliment of utensils, pots and pans.

Ina was very prompt in comms and flexible to our booking requirements. Spacious, peaceful accomodation close to Nelson, Richmond bike tracks and Tasman region. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the house was beautiful and quiet. The house was clean, airy, and bright with high ceilings and lots of windows and surrounded by mountains and greenery. It was only a short walk to the beach and a great central location from which to explore the Golden Bay and Abel Tasman area. We discovered a community playground just 1 or 2 minutes from the house which was a big hit with our grandchildren. We enjoyed Molly B’s for afternoon drinks and meals. Highly recommend.

Best view and a fabulous place to stay especially for five people and a baby. Plenty of baby gear which made life easier for travelling. Hot Tub was awesome especially with the colder weather we had. I would highly recommend Costa Ruby, it's just beautiful!

We had a great time at Grant’s place in Pohara Beach recovering after the Heaphy. A very cute family Bach with everything we needed - we made the most of the board games, table tennis and DVD collection. The location by the beach and down the road from a good pub and cafe was perfect. It got cold at night even in April but the fire, heaters and extra blankets kept the house cosy. Would definitely stay again.

What a lovely little oasis! The space is clean, lovely and exactly what you need! Lots of walkable restaurants, and a serene getaway. Would highly recommend!!

Valerie and Ewan were very friendly and a highlight was their spectacular garden. We were very lucky to be able to help ourselves to the abundant veggie patch. Lots of yummy treats left for us on arrival. Good small supermarket, a couple of pubs and the amazing bakery. We had a very peaceful Xmas/New Year here.

Really nice place to stay, my English work mate said it reminded him of the home he grew up in in the Billericay, England with the style, particularly the living room and kitchen.

We found the Clifftop Retreat cabin suited our needs perfectly and Bob provided an excellent level of communication, service and local tips. He also ensured the pantry and wines were stocked with high quality local products. The accomodation was very good with comfortable bed, terrific functional kitchen and amazing clifftop views of the surrounding bay and local area. The location was perfect for our walking trips up into the Abel Tasman National Park and also fantastic local restaurants and wineries. Bob also organised a pick up from the airport for us as we arrived late at night. Overall a fantastic stay and would certainly recommend Clifftop Retreats very highly.

Wir fühlten und sofort heimisch in dieser sehr sauberen, gemütlichen Unterkunft. Alles ist schnell erreichbar, zum Flughafen könnte man sogar laufen, wenn man nicht einen schweren Koffer hätte. Trotz der Nähe zum Flughafen war es sehr ruhig. Der Pool war noch in Betrieb und wurde ausgiebig genutzt, da er auch gleich gegenüber der Wohnung liegt.

Very unique hidden gem, with fantastique views, not only of the sunrise but also the starry sky - from a window perfectly placed above your bed in the roof. We were taken very good care of: we didn't read the description of the booked room carefully enough so it didn't meet all of our needs as a family, but they were very flexible, put in some extra work andmade a room change possible very last minute. Thank you so much again, we will keep very special memories of our stay.

We loved our stay at Tom and Taya’s beautiful house. Our kids didn’t want to leave. We hope to come back for another visit in the future.

Fabulous property by the sea. We made use of the bench seat overlooking the ocean and beach, with an early-morning cuppa watching the sun rise. The log burner super-efficient (we didn't need to use extra heaters in each bedroom). Every space fresh, clean and tastefully decored. Lovely hot shower with good pressure. 2 min drive to The Mussel Inn for dinner. Key was available to lock up when we went out. No problems at all with wifi. Great place to stay. We were a group of 9 and we all had plenty of space. The location is a short walk to a Four Square and the Māpua wharf where there are plenty of eateries to choose from and lovely artisan and gift stores. Jane was a great host who communicated well and provided local recommendations. Would happily stay here again.

This was our second visit to Atatu and we weren't disappointed. This is a truly beautiful place to stay. The house is fantastic with every facility you could possibly need. A place for total relaxation with pool, spa and space. Beautiful countryside and the sounds of nature on your doorstep. Panoramic views across rolling hills of olive and pine nut trees out to the ocean beyond. If you like to cook then you'll find everything you need in the well appointed kitchen. Lots of dining space both inside and out. Basia is the ultimate host. Informative, helpful, proactive, doing everything she can to make sure your stay is perfect. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return a third time next year.

It felt like home very quickly. Comfy beds. Beautiful period rural house in a large garden with mature trees. Easy to find a quiet spot under a tree to read a book. Plenty of parking. A good kitchen and laundry. Fresh plums and heaps more in a welcome hamper. The cats were adorable. They called by for some food and a pat a few times a day and then disappeared into the garden. Too many pluses to mention (and we stay in a lot of airbnbs). Negatives which are hardly worth mentioning would be road noise - not too bad and you don't notice it after day 1 - and the kitchen knives were not terribly sharp.
