Vacation rentals with lake access in Gladwin County

There were 4 adults staying for Labor Day weekend. We had more than enough room for all. We have vacationed together for years. We all agreed this was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. So well put together and everything you could ever need. The yard was beautiful, the deck had beautiful views of the lake. The furniture was very comfy and there was nothing more we could have wanted.

We loved the beautiful lake views and that we could bring our dog with us. Stargazing while enjoying s’mores at the fire pit was wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay.

House was so good, had alot of things you might need throughout your stay. She was quick to respond if you messaged her about anything. The beach was very nice with some water activities as well, and the neighbors were super kind and just friendly also. We had a great stay and will be back next year.

Ryan’s place was truly an escape. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with our 3 young children here and they loved it. Fishing, kayaking, the hot tub, the bunk beds, the easy living etc. My boys were a big fan of the axe throwing and the lawn games but fishing was especially their favorite. We caught a bunch of Blue Gill with them and they had a great time. My wife and I loved the view from the master suite of the lake. Every room is touched with intention. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have a little family getaway or even a romantic few nights as a couple. They were fantastic hosts and we had a great experience!

This property was exactly as reported. We were up there for a family Celebration of Life and these accommodations were one thing we didn't have to worry about. Very comfortable and easily fit our family. The deck was very relaxing and provided a quiet space that I needed. I wish we would have been there under better circumstances so we could have availed ourselves to use the fire pit and grill. Property was well kept and secure. If we are all in the area again we will try to stay here.

Booked a stay for a relaxed girls weekend at Camp Rodek and we had an excellent time! The cabin is beautifully done with a good mix of modern amenities and rustic charm. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the screened in porch looking out over the lake, cozying up on the comfy couches, and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows around the fire pit - we definitely appreciated the provided roasting sticks! There was a beautiful view of the stars on a cold and clear night. All in all it was the perfect place to spend a fall weekend with friends.

Had a great experience staying at Renee’s Airbnb. Everything met and exceeded our expectations. The Airbnb matched its pictures and descriptions and was very clean and neat when we arrived. Renee was also very communicative both before arriving and for check out. Also, quickly answered the couple of questions we had during the process. Would recommend Renee and her Airbnb to others.

Wonderful place to stay! Stayed for a three-day weekend, there were loons on the lake every night we were there! The place was beautiful, the view was great, and the whole house was clean! Very good experience would highly recommend.

What a beautiful place to stay and come back to after a long day of training for a week. It was peaceful, quiet, had a fireplace, a private lake that we used for kayaking, an indoor pool, and a tennis court. There was even $1 ice cream bars at the community center. Host was responsive and gave heads up about things as needed. They did not bombard with unnecessary information and gave clear instructions and recommendations in a binder provided. The only thing we wished it offered was the ability to bring our dog. We would definitely come back for a getaway trip though.

We recently stayed in Sarah’s beautiful cottage by the lake in Hale,MI over Memorial Day weekend.Its a very easy drive from Ann Arbor.This destination worthy cottage is beyond beautiful with Rustic and modern farm house feels! Everything at the cottage is thoughtfully and meticulously planned and you can see the labor of love of the owners at the property. The place is warm and inviting like and we had a wonderful time in this little slice of heaven with gorgeous views. Hot Tub was a bonus since the Temp was still in 50’s.Sarah was very kind and responsive through out our stay. You couldn’t ask for better Hosts!

Jillian and Tim's place was beautiful and right on Houghton Lake. It was clean and the sunrise was gorgeous. We were barely here because we had a baseball tournament in West Branch, but it was a very cozy spot to sleep and seemed like a great place to spend a weekend on the lake!

The Blue Gill Cottage was a beautiful place to spend Memorial Day weekend with our family! The location is so peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed the beautiful lakefront view, kayaking and fishing during the day and bonfires at night! Barbara was a wonderful host who was quick to respond with any questions we had. We highly recommend! We plan on many more visits in the future!

The cabin was very clean and homely was very satisfied with the amities and the surrounding area was very quiet.Nichole was a great host.

We really enjoyed our stay, the place is for those looking for peace, tranquility and rest! The cabin is beautiful, perfect, just like the ones I saw in the movies when I was a child! The lake is beautiful, my husband had fun fishing and rowing the boat. I highly recommend it for spending some quality time.
