Family-friendly vacation rentals in Giske Municipality

We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

Super great place to stay with stunning views! The jacuzzi and the free ferry to Leknes gave our stay the perfect finishing touch. In addition, the Airbnb is very cozy/lovingly decorated and fantastically equipped, including numerous board games and children's toys. Wonderful and unique property in a stunningly beautiful natural landscape. We wish we could have stayed longer to spend more time here. Easily the best lodging of our trip and likely the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. All of the various indoor/ outdoor areas at the property are awesome. And we were very lucky with weather and only one rainy day. It is quite steep/ many steps up and down between the main house, cabin, and boat house with additional lounge areas down by the water so may not be for everyone. Toril and her husband were also so gracious to show us all around the property at check in, even a bit later than expected. This place was very special and would love to stay there again some day!

The place was very cozy, quiet and secluded, just as we imagined it. The amenities were great and everything you needed was there. A huge advantage was the charging station for electric cars. Bottolf was a very good host and gave us a few tips for excursion destinations in the area. We would definitely recommend the place.

Was really clean in the cabin when we arrived. Very nicely decorated and lovely view from the jacuzzi! Perfect place to be to relax and enjoy yourself :)

We have had an amazing week! It is the second time we stayed here and there will be a next time for sure. You need a car, that goes without saying but the view, the charming house, the facilities (we loved the use of the small boat) and the quitness offer a great alternative on a rainy or relaxing day.

We had an amazing stay at an amazing Norwegian farmhouse with hiking nearby and floating saunas on the fjord in Sæbo. Very central to take ferries wherever you want to go. We highly recommend staying here!

Very convenient stay right in the centre of Alesund. The apartment was old but very neat and very clean, simply what we expected from the pictures.

Nice and cosy appartment close to the sea :-) good place to start trips for example to the bird island Runde or to the interesting Herøy Kystmuseum!

Monica and Ivar are great hosts. they are very welcoming and helpful. The stay is very nice and cozy and with all the amenities. There is a bus stand just right outside the house and it takes only 15 minutes to go to Alesund central. The view from the house is also a bonus.

Very nice place. Flexible and easy check-in, everything ready when we arrived and as described. Nice view and a short distance to the center of Ulsteinvik. Will gladly come back

We had a wonderful stay with Edith & Jon Arne in Norangdal and look forward to returning next summer! The scenery was beautiful, the home was exceptionally clean, and the warm welcome we received from our hosts was the epitome of hospitality. The beds were very comfortable and the tiny details of comfort were not overlooked. Blackout curtains for the midnight sun helped ensure a good nights rest. The homemade chocolate confectionary and scones were a culinary delight! It is so special to enjoy time with truly talented people.

A large and cozy house with all the amenities needed for longer stays. A nice place to work remotely. The area is beautiful and from the house you have a beautiful view. Despite a lot of rain during our stay we enjoyed the mountains, the house and the cider. The contact with Borgny went very smoothly. We were welcomed and even invited to go fishing with us. All in all, had a very good stay here!

We had a super winter holiday at the cabin , would love to come back! Nice location close to the cover and the cabin is well equipped and large. Perfect starting point for some nice relaxing days!
