Situated on a hectare block with a relaxing rural outlook our house is walking distance (1500m) to Wainui Beach and a short (5 min) drive to Gisborne city. The perfect location! Our studio mixes a luxurious but informal bach aesthetic it’s the ideal place to unwind, relax and enjoy Gisborne. BBQ and surfboard available on request.

Enjoy the quiet country feel, close to town. Listen to and watch all the native birds, swim in the pool, take a walk in our lovely area, or simply relax in the spacious cottage with a drink. Inside, go up the spiral stairs to the cozy mezzanine bedroom (please note that it's low up there). The unique stairs are from the old star observatory on Titirangi (the local maunga/mountain)! The sofa bed in the lounge can sleep 2. There is a new kitchenette, shower, vanity and toilet.

The well-lit bedroom features a spacious bed dressed in muted tones, complemented by decorative pillows in shades of blue. Two bedside lamps sit on either side, while large windows with patterned top panes invite natural light. A simple rug enhances the floor's comfort.

It is located close to the " viaduct basin " of Gisborne - Restaurants, Kaiti Hill, Museum, Cycleway, Beaches and a short 10 minute walk to the river and Gisborne CBD. Our Studio is private and centrally located - a great place to explore all our region has to offer, easily. The studio is perfect for couples, solo travellers and business travellers. Pōhatu, meaning stone in Maori, is a beautiful 1925 Arts & Crafts house built by one of regions wealthiest landowners. Lovingly restored in 2020, the guest room is self contained and absorbs the morning sun. Pohatu is located beside the Waimata River, on a 3000m2 section surrounded by mature trees and gardens which afford privacy for sitting outside with your favourite beverage. The property is a short walk to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.

We stayed at Pamela's home for a month in April/May. The home was conveniently located for everything we did in Gisborne and was very clean and spacious!! Amanda was helpful with any inquiries we had and graciously provided fresh linens weekly. It was nice to have a tub and large bathroom (no electric outlets took some getting used to for us but learned that is common for safety reasons). Would stay again! Thank you!

It was our 2nd stay at Ellie's house and we love it. It is a beautiful property, with a 100% amazing river view. It was great to watch the waka's every morning and evening. Ellie is a great host, left us to it, but was there if we needed her, and I could not recommend her place any higher. If possible, we will re book every time we are in Gisborne

Great value and an excellent location, close to Pak’nSave, Woolworths, petrol stations, and more. The home was clean and well-stocked with essentials like toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, clothes laundry liquid, salt, and pepper. The towels and linen were lovely, and the flat was surprisingly spacious and beautifully presented. Easy to find, with clear communication from the hosts, and a warm, cosy atmosphere throughout. Definitely great for the price — and we absolutely loved the pillows, they were a real highlight of our stay! Would happily book again.
